I was selected as a process associate in KLM Royal Dutch Airlines(a process in Interglobe Technologies) on 15th of April 2016 as a fresher. they gave me the package of 12, 800 in hand salary with both sides cab facilities.
We(me and my batch mates) went through 1 month of training and then when we were promoted to floor, it was a bit different of what we had gone through in training. it is said that "beginning is always the hardest" so do I believe.
Many mates from my batch left as they thought that they won't be able to do it. Some of my mates kept on struggling to grasp the knowledge of the process and commands and many believed that less salary given by the company is equal to do less work for the company. Everyone tries to have a good relation with everyone on the floor so that they could help then when necessary. In the OJT(On Job Training) period my mentor was very harsh and rough for me. whenever I made silly mistake he gave me lecture for hours but 1 thing that kept me going was I know that my mentor was having an experience of 2.5 years which means he is most knowledgeable person around. The more I suffered, the more I learned.
Now its more than 3 months, and now I am the best amongst my batch(as said my assistant manager and shift leaders). I never did something special for gaining that words but loved what I do. Yes, even I enjoys a lot while brakes and even when I finishes the work, chat, crack jokes, but when there is something to do, I always tried to give my full potential and power which would eventually enhance my skills not definitely but eventually.
I never cared about the salary, transportation faults, or anything always try to adjust with what I have till certain limits, all because it will always end up by changing me for good and what I believe is "work to learn when you are young" so less salary was never a concern for me.
One can get a good knowledge of Global Distribution Systems, One can start their career at a good platform, and surely will earn respect in working for Interglobe Technologies.
