India Gate is one of the best place to visit in Delhi, built in 1931. It has become a most visited place by the people of
India and outside India. As we all know India Gate was built for the memorial to Indian Army soldiers who died during the first world war; you can find names written on India Gate if you observe closely. You can go there easily by metro, bus or by personal vehicle. It is open for 24 hours and it is free of cost. It is situated at Rajpath marg, New Delhi 110001, nearest metro station is central secretariat. People come and enjoy their day at India gate regularly. The famous thing of India gate is said to icecreams, you can easily get it by the shops and stalls nearby. The local sightseeing is too good. You can many more places nearby India Gate. The children's park, national gallery of modern art, banglasahib gurudwara, zoo, mughal garden(president's house; only opens in february) and many other places are there to visit. The celebration of republic day is also held at India Gate every year, thus this becomes an opportunity to go there and see the beauty of India Gate during our republic day.
For safety purposes, on India Gate, there is no fear because 24x7 army personnels and police remains there that is 24x7 vigilance. There is a very big park where you can rest as long as you want. No problem of any food items, you can easily get them by the stalls. It is a very good place for clicking pictures and selfies. And after all, good place to chill out with your family and friends. There is a market too in Janpath and cannaught place near by India Gate. The real excitement comes at India Gate when it rains.
