I am really excited to post my 1st review here.
Let me post some initial data.
Invoice date(date of purchase): 21/2/11
Model: Honda CB Twister(P.S.red)
Service(s): 3 services have been done
Dealer: Navsarjan Motors, Gujarat, Bharuch
Kms: 2100kms completed
Bike experience(before this one): 0 kms;)
Variant: self drum
I was confused between stunner and twister. I was allmost near to buy stunner before I saw this sexy bike running on the road. I have decided to buy twister but as I am an engineer suddenly one line came in my mind "dikhavo pe na jao, apni akal lagao."
So I did some search(uncle google was there) and found that it can be mine. However there was alot confusion between colors as I wanted to go with green one but it wasn't available that time so I went with red one. After huge success they have introduce white color. I missed it:/
I was also confused between disc and drum brake they(showroom men) suggest me to go with drum as disc brake dosen't required on 109c.c. bike. Later I found that disc variant wasnt available that time lol but now I can realise they were true. It doesn't really matters as they were doin their business.
Okie since day one it was making some noise(ttrrr.) from upper part of engine and didnt realize it I thought it's normal coming from chain module. Service center guy found it fixed it within 30-45 minutes. And now engine work perfectly.
Okie now I am coming to average part. 1st time it gave me wow mileage of only 40kmpl. However as I said I was new to geared vehicle, it was expected by me as I was driving on 2nd gear even when my actual speed was 30-40kmph. It took whole month to get familiar with twister. Now after 3-4 counts it gives me 65-70kmpl(near 1km/1rs)
One more thing discussed here was gear shifting. Yeah it's true it makes noise(thakkk.) while shifting, even shifting gear is bit difficult but it will be handy later.
Now 2nd most discussed thing here was thin rear tyre. Yeah it is and looks more ugly due to gap between seat and tyre and horizontal distance between two springs. However there must be reason to keep it thin. Wide type isn't really thing to show off. Do you want ppl to look at your tyre instead of you? I drove it all these six months and it was never skid even in monsoon.
Okie and vibrations then I never went beyond 55kmph so no comments on it but till 55kmph I can say surely it was smooth. And we hardly need to show off speed skills.
Okie one more thing is service center. I am satisfied with them. You have to trust them. Just book your service day before try to be 1st and dont move untill they complete their task. Change oil regularly. I changed oil everytime. Remember moving parts need lubrication.
Many things yet to be shared but stoppin here:) Hope you eould like it.
