HDFC Ergo does exceptionally well with claims

Hi,


Today I am going to talk about hdfc ergo policy HS gold regain and ECB which I enrolled for my self.  I paid a premium of rupees 10537. I had filed two claims with hdfc ergo insurance and both the time my claim was approved by the insurance company. Here I am going to share some pros and cons of this policy.


Customer service


As far as the customer service is concerned, they are very good to interact with the customers and registering the claim or sending email about the claim form. I had to interact a few times, when my claim was under query. They supported me well during that time.


Claim settlement


This is the task which is somewhat difficult, they will not approve your claim until and unless you submit all the documents to them. In my discharge card, only the date was written, and not the time of discharge from hospital for that they raised a query, then I had to get the date and time filled in my discharged from hospital. Otherwise, the claim settlement could not have been done.


Premium


Premium depends on the age of the policy holder, higher the age, more will be the premium. As compared to benefits from other mediclaims it reasonable according to me.


Plans


There are wide range of plans, Plan which I am using is the HS gold regain and ECB plan it cover most of the illnesses during the insurance period, but historical illness needs a cooling period of 4 years from the date of insurance.


Overall, I am very satisfied with customer service, claim settlement and quality of service and plans given by hdfc ergo insurance company.
