I know its really hard to believe for the people who are unaware or less aware of the term BPO but still the fact remains the same that 35% of youth population working in BPO s in India. Genpact (registered under NSR) is one of them. Started in 1997 and under the effective leadership of Mr Pramod Bhasin (CEO) Genpact has come a long way. Now it has branches abroad as well.
As an employee what one needs. Income (not much), learning, growth, stability etc. You can join as an Process associate( If you are fresher) with a salary of 7000-13000 depending upon the skill set and process you get. Though I will accept that Genpact does not pay much but it gives you opportunity to learn ( Via lean trainings etc) and you perform well you have fair chances of growth as well. Stability is definitely there and work environment is good as well. In the environment where crime against women is rising day by day Genpact provides you a safe and friendly platform to work in.
It provides you pick up OR drop transport (lately the transport has been made one sided only for odd hours) and other medical benefits and cafeteria with subsidized rates as well. Well I suppose everybody knows that it surely has the drawbacks of rotational shifts and office politics (which is everywhere else and you can' t escape...can you? ). Finally I will recommend this company specially to freshers who are yet to learn about how corporate world works and how you can find your way through it but if you are not getting anything in 1 year...run away to another good company where you can enjoy good hike in salary. If you will work 2 years there then you will be hired as a senior associate directly in another companies.
