I am a student of CIT and I wish to share my thoughts on this college. I was really amazed by the facilities that the college has when I went in there
College is celebrating its GOLDEN JUBLIEE year. The institution was started way back around 1956 and has been thriving on efficient admistration and high end teaching.
they offer the following courses:
The Institute with over 40 years of standing offers six undergraduate, five postgraduate , two postgraduate diploma and a number of research programs in Engineering. In addition ,undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Applied Science - Computer Technology and Computer Applications are offered . The course content is revised regularly to cater to the ever-growing industrial requirements. The various departments which offer these programs,have the entire infrastructure in terms of equipments and faculty to impart technical education of very high standard . The library has a dedicated journal section and enhanced facilities to support the students in the academic pursuits.

last year about 500 students i.e., about 97% got placed in various companies ranging from a minimum salary of 2 lakhs pa to a maximum of 7.5 lakhs pa.
College also has been ACCREDIDATED by National accredidation committe for professional courses. this was given for all the programs conducted by it for a period of three years.
The student community is very active . there are as many as 17 clubs. about 8 of them are very active.
students conduct technical symposiums by the name technovation and interface..
there will also be many one day workshops on interesting topics like personal improvemnts, latest in technologies..
considering Accomodation,
it is the most liberal hostel life that u can get it in any of the professional colleges. there is reading room(where u get all the magazines both scientific and entertainment oriented magazines), a tv room, sports room with table tennis board and a snooker room.
the cost of living is the least and the most affordable. the room accomodation is very cheap.
the college is located at the heart of manufacturing hub-coimbatore.many of the industries are round the corner. transport is readily available to navigate throught the city. The college helps in getting Industrial Visits to various companies throughout india....
that is not all. the collge also conducts various events like HARMONY, SENORITA,etc..
The major highlight is that students are given complete freedom in organising function as this
i am so proud of this institution and I rate it to be the fourth best Engg. college in tamil nadu (ANNA,REC,PSG)
