I have had a Citibank NRI account for the past 3 years. Their service has gone bad to worse, it has gotten to a stage now where it cannot get any worse. Here are some points why I am planning to move my account elsewhere:




  1. Their internet banking sucks big time, I mean a small mom & pop shoe shine shop in the US would have a better and more reliable web service.




  2. Net banking downtime is more than uptime.




  3. Sometimes their netbanking service is up but when you try to logon you get the message their their service is in the process of 'upgradation'.... and this upgradation can take 3 days!!




  4. Their 800 service attitude when report netbanking problems is 'Please wait and try again sir', the same is repeated like a robot even if its the 10th time in 3 days a customer is calling with the same complaint.




  5. And this will make you laugh, The Citibank's online banking's 'contact us' mailbox does not allow anything other A-z and 0-9 to be typed in, which means when you write to them if you want to use full stops or commas then you have to spell them out like in the old telegraph days, this is ridiculous!!
