No, this ain't about the ad, but about one of Berger's products. I didn't realize that they had such products too till I actually set my eyes on it.
Recently, we came across this paint product specifically for kids. The product is a result of a tie up of Berger paints with Cartoon network and is called Berger Kidz. You get this do it yourself kit at a price of 2000 bucks.(Does a 10 bucks discount count?)
It's a pretty neat gift for kids, provided they have the walls to splash it on. The part I like about it are the series of cutouts for each cartoon character. Each cutout has holes for a particular color. So stick the cutout to the wall and you have a particular color giving shape to the character.
The colors are washable and it glows it the dark. The disadvantage is that you get very few cartoon characters. For ex., with the powerpuff box, I got only the powerpuff girls, The rest were stencil cuttings for trees, butterflies and other such. At 2000 bucks it is quite costly, but it adds value to day care centres, kids playhomes and in general kids schools.
This Sunday, my daughter got quite busy with imaginary cooking, meaning, cluttering up all those kitchen utensils in the bedroom and cooking her best for me. Girls it appears have a typical mindset of either cooking or nursing. Most girl kids in my neighbourhood fight it out to be a doc, a nurse or cooking with those assorted toys of the trade. Typical!(So do boys ofcourse - cars, or guns?)
In exasperation, I volunteered for'paint' duty and came out alive. I stuck the cutouts and she took the roller and swiped the wall. She enjoyed doing it! By noon, she wanted a snap taken with the powerpuff girls. The actual colors look ok on the walls, but look better in images. I believe the background should be more brighter meaning a shade of white or any bright color to actually reflect the deep colors of the toon characters.
So there you are - Give them some activity to do and with a little guidance they will probably do it better than expected.
