99roomz is where people can find home stay services to stay during their holidays. Usually whenever we plan to go on a vacation the first thing that comes to mind for accommodation are hotels, motels, resorts etc. However, recently many state govt. have started promoting Home Stay services that not only provides lodging facility to tourists at far away places but also gives employment to villagers. State Govt. are providing all the amenities for accommodation and giving a better look to their houses.
This is actually an attempt to reduce immigration from villages especially from hills. This is also an attempt to retain the culture and heritage. Home owners are also given special training to deal with guests and to cook hygienic and healthy food. In return guests have to pay a fixed amount for the accommodation and food.
99roomz doesn't have a user friendly layout and the design is also not appealing. The layout of home stays are difficult to understand and it is quite confusing to select the correct state and city. The layout of prices and services is also not done professionally and while booking the overall price comes totally different than the listed price due to additional taxes.
The main concept is to promote home stay services across India. However, to earn more profits even hotels and resorts are also listed that is confusing while booking. Users can book either only rooms or can go for a complete package. Apart from meals other ayurvedic services are also listed such as massages, panchkarma and other therapies. Users can also locate their destination through maps available on the app and it can also help them to plan their vacation.
I found this app not at all useful due to high prices and low facilities. Also, the availability of rooms shows available while booking but later on it is informed that the occupancy is full. So, there is a lack of co-ordination between staff and booking services through this platform is not reliable at all. Also the prices on this app are the highest when compared with other online booking portals. So, overall a big no for this app.
