My visit to Agra was not planned in advance it was quite an adhoc decision that my friends took and I decided to play along. So this booking was a last minute job or should I say a last minute botched up job.
Room Quality - The Rooms did not look like what they showed on the website, and did not have all the amenities mentioned in them as well. We booked it from Hotels.com which mentioned there would be a Sofa and a safe deposit box, both of which were lacking, we were told that 4 in a room would be fine but on a additional cost, but they did not accept more than 2 on arrival, so we had to book one more room on the spot. We called up the Hotels.com customer care but they said that the data given on the site is fed by the hotel itself and they are not liable for it.
Guest Services - The staff does not clean on time, on the second day, we said we were going to be out almost half of the time and the room was to be cleaned early in the morning but it was done late in the evening. Again there is nothing like free internet here, you have to pay for it. The toilet seat was detached when we came in, and they told us that they will get it fixed right away but it wasn't fixed even at the time we left. Really poor service
Dining - No such a pleasant experience, we had breakfast from the hotel and the south Indian food there tasted really horrible, even the parathas were not good.
Abiance - Only the reception and the lobby looks good, that too a bit cramped.
Value for Money -Not at all, we actually wasted close to 6000(incl of taxes) we could have got a better deal if we had booked a better hotel in advance.
