Situated at a prominent location, this 5 Spice witnesses a lot of footfalls throughout the week with waiting that stretches up to one hour on the weekends. 5 Spice restaurant has carved a niche for itself in the Chinese food category with people making a beeline for it constantly.
I was in the vicinity for a meeting and decided to go to 5 Spices for lunch as after I spotted this restaurant, I had a very strong craving to have their food. I was shown to a nice little table by the staff and once seated, I immediately ordered a Chicken Wonton Soup.
The soup came within 10 minutes and was filled to the brim with the yummy broth with huge wontons in it. The first bit that went into my mouth was refreshing and delicious! I took my time to slowly savour the soup and enjoyed the juicy meat that was encased in the wontons. I was pretty full after the huge bowl of soup, but I wanted to have their Chicken Nanking Rice.
The rice came with yummy pieces of chicken, babycorn and other veggies and had its own sauce which lent a wonderful taste to the dish. Though the portion size was huge, I ate up the whole thing and enjoyed it immensely.
I was done here and left savoring the awesome aftertaste of 5 Spice Chinese.
