This is just an attempt to cover 20 best numbers of **Kishore Da- All

Rounder**.Kishore Kumar was indeed an all rounder. Acting, Singing,

Dancing or Music Composing.

Nota Bene:-As usual I promise a very informative review focussing the facts which you might .I said might not be knowing.

Hey.buddies so lets not waste the precious time on the web.

From my hobby book I could finally find these 20 numbers enlisted here in their

priority order.

Yup! It was a tough job indeed.

1) Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan-Aa Gale Lag Jaamy favourite

Shashi kapoor, Sharmila Tagore.great music .great movie.

I never dare to sing this number on stage its too difficult.to sing.

But B-U-T remind you this movie had two versions of the same

song.one sung by Rafi Sahab and another Kishore Da.

Kishore Da and Rafi Sahab were equally good in Janu Meri Jaan-Shaan.

But Rafi Sahab clearly excelled in the Sa Re Gama - CHupke Chupke

Track coz it has variations which need classical knowledge in which

Kishore Da was nill and Rafi Sahab was best only next to Manna Dey.

This was the time for the revenge. He did it.Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan in

Kishore Kumar's voice was a major hit leaving Rafi Sahab's Number far

behind though both were of different moods.

Kishore and Mohd Rafi cannot .just cannot be compared. They both

were masters in their talents. If any of them could be that .that

strong we would have had a MR Lata .too .one for all.isnt It?

2) EK Hasina Thi -Karz

Karz - The boost in Subhash Ghai's career, the beautiful

picturization made this song up to the mark.

Laxmikanthji -Pyarelalji made that uncomparable music and there

onwards they were the only choice of his films till

Pardes(Nadeem-Shravan)

3) Chingari Koi Bhadke-Amar Prem

Beautiful piece by R.D.Burman. Anand Bakshi's lyrics was truly a

worthlistening ones.remembered those Kaka Rajesh Khanna Days.

I love the words:-

Mana Toofan ke aage

Nahi chalta zor kisika

Maujo ka dosh nahi hai

Yeh DOsh hai aur kisika

MajhDhar mein naiya dole toh maajhi paar lagaye!

Maajhi jo naav dooboye use kaun bachaye!

4) Chehraa Hai Ya-Sagar

Ask the guitar fans and this is their choice. The song starts with a

master piece followed by a very romantic voice .Kishore Da.

Rahul Dev Burman again.the king of late 80's

5) Pag Ghungroo Bandh - Namak Halal

So those who believe in Kishore Kumar also know that hez damn good in

singing fast track with a bit of humor in it.

The songs starts nicely but moves to a very different pitch in

between(Mausamein Ishq  mein.) showing how Kishore Da can manage

both the Pitch simultaneously. Music By Bappi Lahiri.

6) Jaane Jaa Dhoondta

A very pacy song .with Ashaji and RD Burman which is a worth

listening number.

It Delights you .with those lines when Ashaji says Dil Machalne

laga and kishore da's'Hey' Follows .worth listening duet.

7) Mere Mehboob Qayamat -Mr X in Bombay

Picturized on himself. This track is from Mr X in Bombay the

original version of Mr India.based on the novel The Invisible Man

Kishore Da found it very difficult to make it in the world of

Playback singing those days .when Talat Mehmood, Mohd Rafi, Mukesh

and Mannadey were at their best.so he used to sing only for himself.

8) Dil Kya Kare- Julie

So when Hrithik's Uncle Rajesh Roshan approached Kishore Da for

Julie.it was rare combination which gave such a beautiful number.

8) Tu Tu hai Wohi- Yeh Wada Raha

Hey not the remix please.just listen to this number from Yeh Wada

Raha.late 80's again.and tell me thousand times better than the

remixes.

This ones often found in the Valentine Hits collections nowadays.

10) Manzilein apni jagah hai - Sharabi

Big B indeed. As if kishore Da's voice was made for him.

The pitch was very low and Kishore Da who was famous for his Doodlie

Doos made it by literally cryin' like what Rafi Sahab was famous for.

This number was for Bappi Lahiri's Music which paid Bappi a filmfare

that year. Sharabi and Namak Halal were the hits of the year.

11) Tere Mere Milan Ki -Abhimaan

This song will definetly remind you of its picturization.

Abhimaan is the movie.a very challenging work for Kishore Da.

Lata was kept constant while the male songs of this movie was sung by

Rafi Sahab, Mukesh Ji and KIshore Da. Prestige Issue after all.

12) Tere Bina Zindagi Se-Aandhi

Gulzar Days .happy days.were there again.music styles were

changed by Khayyam and RD had to accept the slow n sweet new trend

which emphasised more on Lyrics and singing capability.

This track along with Tum aagaye Ho were the key assets to pull the

crowd in the cinema hall.

13) Phoolon ke rang se

Picturized on Dev Anand who constantly changed his voice.

Started with Hemant Kumar and Talat Mehmood. Became a star with Rafi

Sahab's Voice when KIshore Kumar himself was an actor and then ended

his star career with Kishore Da's Voice.

14) Tu Auro Ki Kyu Hogayee- Ek Baar Muskara Do

Wow what a classic solo.you'll hardly pay attention to the music.

Inspite of its very fast pace it was very nicely and comfortably

sung. This is a challenging number for performers in competitions. It

was a major hit. Deb Mukherjee(Brother of Joy Mukherjee) was the lead

actor with Tanuja. The Movie was a hit and this song too.

15) Meri Bheegi Bheegi Si-Anamika

Sanjeev Kumar with Jaya Bachchan .this song .Ohhh One of its kind.

16)Chalte Chalte-Title Track

Dev Anand's brother was launched and with no second thought this song

by Bappi Lahiri was handed to Kishore Kumar. Was a huge Hit all over.

17)Dekha Ek Khwab To-Silsila

Yash Chopra movies as we know are seen specially for its song. They

Say Yashji has got a very good sense of Music. Specially romantic

numbers. This is one of the all time hits from his movies. Kishore Da

with Lata Ji

Shiv-Hari were the music directors. Remind you Shiv is santoor master

Pandit ShivKumar SHarma and Hari is FLute master Pandit Hariprasad

Chaurasia. They are the two maestros in Indian CLassical Music. Hmmm

hence the music of SIlsila, Chandni and Darr are so melodious.

18)Khilte Hai Gul Yahan- Sharmilee

Shashi Kapoor used to have dual voice in his movies. Few hits from

his movies had voice of Rafi Sahab few by Kishore Da.

19) Humein Tumse Pyar Kitna- Kudrat

Rajesh Khanna and Hema Malini in Kudrat. Either Kishore Da was lucky

to have Amitabh, Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna three superstars backing

him or the other way round. But Who cares .they gave hit after hits

isnt it.

20) Agar Tum Na Hote

Kakka Rajesh Khanna-Raj Babbar-Rekha Starrer movie. This title track

of the movie was the only song which was even the theme of the movie.

BMG Crescendo had the rights for the movie which is the reason you'll

never find this song in Kishore Kumar Compilations because major

songs of Kishore Da were on HMV(Now SareGama) and few even with

PolyGram(Now Universal).

Ahhh! NOw im tired .trust me.I wrote it all at once. The list

just popped out of my brain.  Please mail me if any of the

information misleads in any sense.

Thanks for reading.  And If you liked it check out my other reviews

too. I'll be soon writing review on my favourite singer Kumar Sanu

soon .So Be Ready!

Happy Deepawali to all of you all!
