September Eleventh Two Thousand One

The Day the World Changed, certainly a day to remember,

A day that faceless cowards attacked not just America but the World,

A day that our children will learn about forever,

A day that America once again pulled together to help out,

A day that allowed us as American citizens to witness a time of healing,

A day to teach our children what life can sometimes be about,

A day to truly know what a war zone feels like; that people in other countries go through war zones daily; is this what we are becoming like; other countries?

A day to truly understand what it means to be fire fighter, a doctor or a nurse,

A day to truly know how “horrible” can feel, a day to cry, morn, help,

A day to trust, forgive, forget; but finding it hard to do so,

A day to be angry, disgusted, frightened, and yet with good reason,

A day to be ourselves, Americans, a Country of Freedom and The Free,

A day that we will relive in our hearts, our minds forever and ever,

A day that will be in our history books; that our grandchildren will know and learn about,

A day to give blood, money or yourself in some kind of way,

A day to hear of the true hero’s; the hero’s, who died on planes for their country,

A day where we will go in time and wonder why,

A day that shocked us all, but made us stronger,

A day to remember just who we are; American’s,

A day to truly know what it means to be scared; a day that we will never understand,

A day that has changed us all in one-way or another, a day of just change,

A day of cancels, of parents calling schools to check on their children,

A day of awe, of peace, of rescue,

A day that we have learned that it was time for some to go,

A day that we have learned that it was not others time to go,

A day we heard of heroic stories that made our hearts sing,

A day we heard of stories that made our hearts angry,

A day we share is a total sadness, of sorrow,

A day of seriousness, without a doubt this is true, a day of disbelief,

A day of flames soaring from our skies that left a smoke filled sky; a sky in disarray,

A day that we found in our newspapers pictures of death, of fear, of hopelessness,

A day that we wonder where do we go from here; who, why, how,

A day that we have blamed our own American citizens, because they are descendants from another country,

A day that we have scorned American citizens because they are a different color, race or religion,

A day that we throw rocks at other people; break out windows in their “House’s of Worship”, call them names and tell them to go home, they are home remember?

A day where we should not blame Americans of any race, color, creed, religion or background, but we are doing just that,

A day that we should NOT be throwing rocks into windows of others “House of Worship”, or their businesses, or their homes,

A day that we should NOT scorn our own, but look to them for love and help and growth,

A day that we should be ashamed of ourselves for blaming those we have no right to do,

A day that we may now go to war, perhaps against another country, a serious moment in our lives, a day where it is NOT over, security at an all time high,

A day of true sacrifice or a day that perhaps we will kill the innocent in another country or a day of both,

A day that we call on all countries around the world to back the Americans, should we go to war, some agreeing, some not, some won’t,

A day that we crack down further on terrorist, to make them understand that we will not stand for this, that we are America, the Home of the Brave, of The Free,

A day that we search for answers; that we cannot find completely, or quickly enough,

A day that we stay glued to the news, crying along the way, angry, hurt, pained, wondering what will be next, who will be next,

A day that we discover that terrorism is indeed real and finding out the hard way just how real it is, a day we don’t believe the lies from other countries,

A day that we hear of leads to those who did this to us, wondering what justice will be done, wondering which country will come forward with the one we blame,

A day that our Government finds themselves changed forever, serious decisions now must be made, decisions perhaps never even thought of,

A day that we must support our Government and let them do their jobs, trusting that they will do what is right for America,

A day that we discover more and more with each report just how bad this really is, just how angry we are, or how angry we have become,

A day that we must put personal hatred aside and work together, and realize that all who live here in our country are not bad people, but love this country too, live and work here,

A day to pray, hope, love and to truly come together as one Country, one People,

A day to be a good neighbor, to lend a helping hand, not hatred,

A day of no sunshine, no matter how bright the sun may shine, but knowing that the sun will return, that America will shine again,

A day that dust, dirt, debris came floating down from our sky, covering a city that stands so bright, that stands for the first step of our Freedom,

A day of concrete, of metal, of steel; melting, tearing, ripping down and down, until it could come down no more, wondering when it will end,

A day in our History that will never go away, a day to remember, a day that will be remembered in time to come, a time that we all will remember,

A day that we have changed, a day that will bring many memorials, many prayers, many people uniting together as one Country, one Nation,

A day that cowards still hide, that left behind their coward ways, their so called heroism, their so called god, their so called religion, in which we want NO part of, just go away,

A day that the enemy is the enemy and they are hiding those they know are responsible, maybe?, not wanting to work with us in any way,

A day that we are truly now at war, a day that surely brings more change,

A day that another attack may still be at hand, a time to pray once again, and not to stop those prayers,

A day full of significance, of meaning, of lost loves, of new friendships, a lifetime of pain and joy,

A day that we know some are missing and may never be found, some terrorist are still missing too, will we find them, if so, how?

A day that we have the largest “drag net” in the history of our country, to find the one’s who did this pain to us, to bring them down, how ever we have to do,

God help us all to survive, to do what is right, to pull together, to trust, to stand up for our own no matter the color of the skin, the religion they choose, the place they may live, the job they may work,

We are all Americans and have no right to blame our own, so stop it! Instead, look around and see where we can help, where we can grow, where we can pull together more, pray if you believe, teach our children right, teach them it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to hurt, it’s okay to pull together, it’s okay to unite, it’s okay to be an American.

But don’t teach our children that it’s okay to blame those who are not to blame, to throw rocks, to yell “Go Home!” don’t teach them to hate.

We are at war and we must be so together as one Country, one Nation and ALL AMERICAN’S.

God Bless us all
