The hotel staff found his body on fourth floor. He was in Bangkok for a company board meeting with his wife. The couple had a bitter fight following which Mrs. Slym stopped talking to her husband, handed him a letter explaining her side and went to sleep. She learnt about her husband's death in the morning when the police knocked on their hotel room door and had to undergo shock treatment. The letter has been found, handwriting verified as Mrs. Slym's. According to police lieutenant Somyat Boonyakaew, a tidy room and no sign of force or struggle found on the body ruled out the possibility of a murder. The room did not have a balcony but two windows. While the bigger window was sealed, the small window could be opened. The window was too small for a big man like Karl to slip out of it leading to the conclusion that he must've climbed out of it. As per the autopsy report, his skull was broken. Brain and internal organs severely damaged which were due to the fall from the 22nd floor. At a time when the auto industry was going through shaky times, Karl Slym was headhunted by Tata Motors to lead the company to a breakthrough. He had previously worked for General Motors and Toyota UK. Friends describe him as a jovial person. Read More

I along with 19 other I.T gradautes have been selected as Technical Trainee Analyst in a company. The initial few months will be spent on training us on product the company owns.Everyday we are taught for 4 hours about the technologies and methodologies the company uses. The rest hours are utilized by the small tasks alloted to us. The company believes in "Work hard in silence, let success make the noise".But the first thing open for discussion is the when is the tea/coffee coming as many people are sleepy or didnt get the time to drink tea.Later training starts and after it is over multiple useless discussions over stuff relating to work and in between whats for lunch arises. The seniors need to tell us to be quiet and work. Soon after lunch training resumes and later the discussions rise up again. Now the topic slowly introducing itself in the discussions is when are we going home yaar.As the time comes close to go home the discussions intensifies even more. Even while going home these chatting continues and we go on our seperate ways and the whole show continues tomorrow again.Hope the chatting reduces a bit but not the fun working with friends and having a laugh between hours of work. As of right now I am working in a software company working 8 hours round the clock as a fresher.I am in the most important phase of my life because next couple of years will decide the future of my life. The pressure to learn and grasp every ounce of knowledge around me is intense. Now my performance will speak for me so I cant hide behind my friends or my parents.I am excited as well as a bit nervous as to what my future holds. But before this life filled with pressure I lived an amazing engineering life for 4 years.Exam times were actually intense while studying with friends eased it up a bit and the 4 years went very fast and before that HSC and CET preparations were comparable to hell. But my school was my playground where I was most comfortable in life.No pressure about anything just school and 2 hours of studying at home, enjoying cartoons and stupid games.I didnt have bother with the minute ettiquettes of life required now in a working atmosphere or elsewhere.Every one was innocent and nice to us.No mind games or feel of competition with us and that is what I miss the most. As I was travelling to my office today in Bandra it was raining like crazy and no matter you had an umbrella you would still get wet.I got inside the train comfortably and people were lining up on the door of the train. The door of this coach was malfunctioning and all the rain water carried on the strip above the door was coming on the people standing at the door. The people couldn't move an inch as coach was heavily packed. The people on the door were getting wet and trying to push inside. There was this one guy standing 1 row back and laughing at them and the door guy pushed inside and he accidently hit the laughing guy on his teeth with his elbow while pushing back.Within a split second heavy aggresive racial words rised up and hands were swinging in effort to hit each other. Both got engaged in a fight and other people were also getting hit in the process and soon it became a mass quarrel. The fighting ended since their stations had arrived but still irrational and bragging conversations began later. I was scared that someone might get pushed out of the train in this fight. The fight began at Borivali and continued till midway Goregaon which takes around 20 minutes. Never thought of such an exciting but scary day in the morning. Read More
