Have visited Koremangala store of YLG. It seems like a very sophisticated salon with very reasonable pricing without any compromise on quality of skin/ hair products. Half of my queries were resolved when counsellor guided me for the best service suitable for my hairs/ skin.


The chromo facial was a great experience with quick results. Hair cut by the senior hair stylist has changed my look completely with ease to carry in office. The store has a combination of natural and effective products. Would like to visit the store very often. Also I should not forget to mention the clarity, discipline and hospitality of Padma,  the Store Manager

Had hair treatment and haircut done at the Mantri mall YLG branch. Mediocre all around.


I don't know if they are paid based on commission but the staff are more interested in seeing you part with your cash rather than really take care of your hair. When I tried to tell them about my hair woes what I got for a reply was that I sign up for this offer they have that(I pay for 8000 or so rupees and get 3 monhts of unlimited hair spa offer or something like that- I lost interest once I pegged this guy for a golddigger). I understand that you have to make your living, but you're a hairstylist-please put your customer's need above your interest in making money. When people thinks you're good money will follow suit.


Anyway, the result of the hair treatment(aprrox. 1300) is the same as the weekly home treatment I give myself at home using L'oreal total repair hair mask. But to be fair, maybe it is just my hair.


And the haircut(cost:660, junior hairstylist)- well all I did was ask for a trim of my already layered hair. But the end result is that there's no continuity in my layering thus giving my hair a'step-ladder' kind of appearance Which, I only realised once I got home because this guy didn't have the courtesy to show how my hair looks from the back.


Granted, he is a junior hairstylist, but lets just say that if he did went to a hairstyling school  he sure didn't graduate at the top tier of his class.

Their steamer spewed boilng water on my face.

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. THEY HAVE ANTIQUATED INSTRUMENTS. The steamer spew boiling water on my face and completely burned my face. The girl doing the massage was out of the room.


If she was in the room, she would have noticed the steamer making noise and water spilling over. The pedicure, manicure instruments and tub are very dirty and totally unhygenic.


Make sure that the instruments are clean and then only get any service from this place.

YLG fraser town - Bad haircut, too expensive!

It all looked very glitzy from the outside, so I went in and was disappointed as the place looked pretty rundown on the inside. Anyway, I hoped for a good experience, optimist that I was!


On entering, a woman gave me a "consultation" before I began and showed me some photos. She quoted some outrageous rates and told me that if she gave me the cut, it would be Rs. 1200 plus taxes(basically, she just explained the rates of everyone)


I showed them photos of what I wanted. For the lowest haircut by a newbie, I was charged Rs. 700 plus taxes. They put me on to a very sweet but totally inexperienced guy who didn't give me anything close to what I wanted, now I know why he's the lowest paid there!


Anyway, for that price I could have got an excellent haircut at my usual place(which I didnt go to since YLG was closer!), so even though it's far from where I stay, I'm going there next time, no more YLG!


Before leaving, they give me a brochure of all their services and a voucher, redeemable in a month!(who goes for a hair cut twice in ONE month?)


Anyway, if YLG is reading this, kindly spend time and effort on training your staff and improving the facilities instead of coming up with marketing gimmicks that no one will be interested in once they have a bad experience at your salon!

Only words to describe the service is " SH*T".I got a haircut after which I looked liked a dirty duckling. Padma the stores manager is not aware of anything .


God only help those going to YLG. Useless up service,


Helois Partners who have invested in YLG, If you have Padma like people working , It is soon going to be a doomsday for your investment.


Mr Chairman before you go for expansion set your process and people right otherwise it will be a disaster.


Also it is not your ex venture of Health and Glow where it was more of selling a product, Once a Service gets a bad name it stays in the memory of the people and internet is explosive it is just a matter of time before the day of resonance comes.

Never buy vouchers from them

I got to know one truth about the service they provide.Please read my exp b4 u ever want to buy a voucher they provide.


I have been a regular at YLG koramangala n the staff knew me and were cordial to me. I bought a voucher on 4th June 2011 worth Rs 2200 of which I availed Rs 750 on 4th June. On my receipt the lady marked in "pen" the 3 other services that I had not received in that voucher and the name of one staff who would provide me that later.


My mistake. I lost that receipt. Now when I went there, the same staffs who had been all smiley and good to me for 4-5 months turned bitter and said nothing could be done now.


Now comes the bigger truth.I asked them to check their record, they must ve stored it that I have used only 1 service and not all.


She showed me the copy of the receipt in her system. In which it was mentioned I had availed all the services worth Rs 2200.


What does this mean!


To maintain their fab records and show it to their top notch, they ll show customers have availed these many services. But they'll write in pen on your receipt that ok later on you can redeem these services. Why they did not store in record that 3 of 4 services are remaining.


what's the use of maintaining online record when the record stored is something else, and some goof up is being done on hard copy.

Terrible experience ever!

I have been to ylg at mantri, Bangalore. I went there for a haircut , charged 1300 for bad haircut! this is the worst haircut I have ever got. the service is poor and pathetic.. I grew my hair long from 1 yaer to get a nice hair cut.. I asked him to cut just 1 inch.. he made it shoulder level, tats more than 5 inches:( and he called it international hair cut..


The facial is also bad , way too expensive!... I never want to go to that parlor again.


For my bad even the threading was not good..

When you walk in and ask her about the services the store person is not aware of what offers are running Waxing with that== waxer == gave me burns,


However the malleshwaram ylg is much better, funny enough all the staff in mantri mall seem lost , either they lack directions, instructions , many people doing one job, or none doing no jobs...no method in madness..


I would say avoid mantri , unless if you want basic like some threading done. However if you do walk across to malleshwarm , they appear more or less work oriented..


Have never tried the other YLG , so I cant say much, the one in mantri is a strict no no

Ylg at cambridge layout is good

I hve been a customer of ylg for nearly 2 yrs, and I must say the services and staff are good.Though there were issues with few things which is quite common everywhere.They do offer good packages and attract customers with various offers evry now nd then, which is good for customers to get attracted.


Only issue is with prices which get increased very frequently in less than a year and way too costly, just becaz am used to services and staff am ok to continue with Ylg till date.Its always better to opt for a package in ylg which is suitable for you with a less time period if you are satisfied with services, otherwise individual costs go very high..


Good thing here is even if u opt for a package they have branches all over blore so no worry even if u chg ur residence once in a while.skin and hair services r good.Not sure on massages..


Burnt in Waxing

I have been waxed at YLG in Mantri Mall and in Malleshwaram and both times have had burnt skin from the wax. The staff in Mantri Mall would not agree that the wax was too hot. In Malleshwaram, she did turn down the heat, but the skin(underarm) still burnt. Painful and unpleasant experience! Also, they now use'Brazilian' wax for underarms, but don't tell you that it costs 3 times more than the standard wax.


I've also got threading done at YLG, which is not bad, but the staff only do what they think is correct, disregarding what the Customer wants.


At billing, they all try to push packages hard, whether or not you are interested in them.

I happened to visit YLG Koramangla outlet  today 13 April. Staff especially, receptionist is very unprofessional .She will keep on signaling stylists to finish the job fast rather than letting them complete it properly .


It seems they are just worried about making money . Somehow they will try to finish the job rather than doing it right. They would not listen to you as well .


! NOT RECOMMENDABLE AT ALL . NEVER GO THERE!

The three of us had got our eyebrows done on the first occasion and booked for our manicure 4 days later at YLG Bangalore Cambridge Rd. The staff on the first and second occasion were polite and courteous.


However on at the end of our second session, when we had to make payment, the cashier tried to charge us Rs. 270 for a pedicure when we got a manicure done, then states that the rate for a pedicure is Rs. 190 instead of the Rs. 140 stated on the brochure that was given to us on our first meeting for our manicure. When we stated the same that the rate given is Rs 140, the cashier tells us that the rate has changed to Rs. 190 including taxes.


When asked about the rate of tax, I was informed that it is 10%. However when I told him that Rs.140 +10% amounts to only Rs 154 and is not anywhere close to Rs.190, he tells us that the rates changed a week ago. I felt that he only wanted to cheat and my other two companions because my companions were not from Bangalore.


When I mentioned that we were only willing to pay Rs 140 + taxes per person and that he is misleading us, I got the reply " We do not want your money" for which I agreed with him and refrained from paying even the Rs 140 + taxes for 3 person . We nevertheless did tip the lady who had been very kind to us during our service. In short he wanted to rip us and also claimed to be the "Manager".


How come the change in prices were not brought to our attention when we had booked the manicure initially? How come the change in prices took place a week ago and we were charged per the brochure only when we had attended the boutique four days ago?.... You can ask the crook or perhaps not!

Naam bade lekin dharshan chote! Mr Chairman please take notice, your staff is ill-mannered. The guy at the reception doesn't have the courtesy to come and call me but instead gestures to me with his hands. Now, that is BAD! The girl who did my manicure and pedicure got offended when I asked her to paint my nails properly, she has done a bad job. What a waste of time and money.


I will never go back to YLG Richmond town or any other branch. I can do a better job!

Right now the only words I can get on the top of my head is "POOR" "PATHETIC".Guys I got most  worst facial from this salon which they claimed to be their best one. I have started getting black patches in my skin .This was the result of their most costliest facial and skin consultation.Don't believe there sugar coated talks. We can get much better services, facials in other parlours too at much much reasonable price.So think twice before you land up there.


Don't have high hopes with the attitude of the manager or the services as it is just ANOTHER  Salon.

I wish I have read these reviews before.One of the most unpleasant , disgusting experience I had with YLG , kormangala.They think that we here to do charity for them .False promises , lies is there specialties.They don't know how to respect their customers who are already members.


Guys I m going to the consumer court .I can't take this from them.Let me know if some one wants to join hands with me.Customers are being tricked /fooled by YLG managers/employees to achieve their own target .


Everyone should be aware of the injustice disappointing experience.I am trying to solve the issue continuously from last 3 months but unfortunately none of your employees or managers are supportive. Infact they have stopped taking my calls , ignoring me , yelling on me , telling that why am I calling them .I had never been so humiliated , insulted and let down by anyone in my entire life the way I had been in YLG.Now more then money its about my ego my respect.


The issue is : I was having this one year membership with YLG and was not at all interested in continuing it furthur because of the treatment of managers Padma and rahim (YLG , kormangala) as well as there were few changes going on in my professional life.


When staff was telling me to continue the membership , very clearly I told them about my situation that "I may have to go out of country or out of city due to changes in my professional life , so its better that I should not take this YLG gold card membership ".They said that its not all a problem money can be refunded at any point of time .When ever you are going just let us know we can make all the necessary arrangements to refund your money .There were three people at that time (in YLG , kormangala).


When I asked her that how easy is it to get the money she has showed me some checks and told me that it's very easy just she need to send a email to finance department and money can be refunded. She in fact told me that you can close your membership any time and pay off your credit card bill .I said fine and then she asked to sign some form she said its just membership form , she told me just to sign it and rest of the form she will fill and after that they have detected 30000 from my account which is definitely not a small amount.


Now within a week I got new job offer and I moved to Gurgaon.Continuously everyday I was going to the salon asking them about refund they said that it will be done soon.Now I am in Gurgaon and I am in terrible need to money , and now they are saying that it cannot be done.


My trust is totally broken , I am in need of money , MY HARD earned money for which I have spent nearly 14 to 16 hrs hours in a day in office.I was so shocked the way your staff is behaving with me .I am not sure with whom to talk , with whom should I raise my voice.They do so many false promises with the customer's and finally it results in nothing and they just don't care about them once the membership is taken.


I feel cheated , humiliated, mentally harassed .I feel that I have been the victim of fraud.I have tried talking with their area sales manager but again it was in vein.Guys never ever recommend anyone to take any services from this third grade pathetic salon.

I went in for a makeup in HSR Branch. The makeup done was poor , plus products used caused rashes to both me and my friend.


We suspect that they used expired products plus the job was also executed very poorly. When we complained that we are not happy with the outcome.


They said that the staff has other appointments and they cannot spend time with us any more. Will surely never go back to YLG again.

After having been to various beauty parlours and salons in Bangalore, I landed up at YLG. After my first visit I was so amazed by the quality of service and made it my regular parlour. Initially everything was great, but now the staff (especially the one in kormangala) is less concerned about the service than convincing customers to go for membership or promoting various packages. Whenever you go there they will tell you the same thing over and over which is so irritating. They should understand that if somebody is interested in taking up a membership that person will go for it after their first trial and people will take it only when they are satisfied with the service.


P.S. If you want a haircut, I will still recommend go to YLG.

Finally spa services at home!!

Home Salon!!!


Finally someone came out with an idea of providing Salon & SPa services at Home!! Else I always had to crib about going to a salon because of the traffic hassle and appointment details. Now I actually enjoy a Body Massage every fornight and actually relax at my comfort zone..what else can a woman ask for????


They bring every single thing required..from bed, linen, music, aroma diffusers and including cotton pads and I just have to provide them with a space at Home to set the things up and Voila a salon at Home!!!


Just because they have the jazz and the bling, I was initially apprehensive about their costs but they serve to be much better and affordable than the regular upmarket salons and also I love the way they handle the entire process..from taking appointments, counselling to billing and all this is just a call away (4355000). I can ask for their service anywhere in Bangalore, so distance is not my problem anymore!!!

-You are kept waiting unnecessarily despite having taken an appointment, sometimes for more than half hour, which according to me is outrageous and extremely unprofessional. You are waiting while you see some of their staff chattering and loafing about the place aimlessly.


-The staff at the Salon are constantly trying to convince you to go in for a more expensive service, even if you are telling them that a basic service is all you require.


-The ambiance could've been more tasteful and cleaner for the prices they are charging.


-The services are over-priced for what they are worth.


-Ill-mannered and discourteous staff are a serious put-off.


-Feedback about the services was taken only the first couple of times I set foot in this place.


-People at the salon insist on appointments even for something as simple as eye-brow threading, which takes all of 10 minutes.

Being a member is not as bad as other reviews say

I am a member of the YLG spa and salon since more than a month. Maybe a little too early to review it. But I would recommend it to people who are used to going to salons regularly. I used to go very rarely and preferred spending weekends at home. But I have started becoming a little more regular since I took the membership. The best part is my package had unlimited root touch up or back massage which I don't use. So I got it converted to a head massage. It was better for them and for me.


Also, they style hair very well. So I go there atleast twice a week, get my hair washed and styled. Also any time I need to go out in the evening, I just leave office half an hour early and go there to get some clean up done. I also spend most Satudays there to get everything in my package done :). You just have to know how to get your money's worth!


So in most ways I like it. People find it a little on the costlier side. But I have seen salons charging Rs. 1000 for a pedicure!
