I want to rate it 0 stars...rating this thing "POOR" is like Praising it.


I hav the 250L ELITE not the 260L. Believe me iv never been more frustrated with any product from any company my whole life. The actual product even cracked on the inside within 2months of initial usage n after 2 months of continuous complaints these ppl Replaced the original only on the last day of the expiry (26th JUNE 2003) of my warranty. These people SUCK BIG TIME.


They provide the CHEAPEST customer service on the face of the earth. On a scale of 10, if I compare these people with the service of any Government office. These people would be on 0.1 while the Government office would be on 10. Such is the quality Whirpool delivers.


Fix my refrigerator whirlpool (dumb asses infact), its been 5 days n im living without a refrigerator!!!!


Sincere advice to my fellow citizens...dump the idea of buying a whirlpool n go for something else. Iv seen godrej n BPL perform excellently. Don't know about their customer service.

I purchased Whirlpool refrigerator not even one year back and it has been replaced once and now the replaced fridge which is almost 4 months old has a broken fan. Fridges are supposed to work for several years and this one is just four months old and has started giving trouble. Whenever I call up the customer service dept they say the engineer will come by today evening. I keep on waiting for the engineer at home and nobody arrives. This has been happening since past 15 days. Everyday I call up the cust service and they promise to send the engineer. I have emailed them several time but of no use. They dont respond to the emails as well.


I think if they cant provide the good after sales support they should stop selling their product. This is really frustating to be without fridge for such a long time.  The food gets stale in few hours time as there is no cooling in the fridge.

I purchased one Iiceberg 310 lts machine in April, 2006. Performance wasnt very good as it was noisy, sweaty and shape and design archaeic; discovered later while using. Most unsuitable for day to day yse, consumes lot of power even in mid position. Milk etc. delicare items get spoilt off and on. Thought our misunderstanding of the instrument proving it to be not ay all customer friendly. Suppurt from maintenance staff is abrupt, curt and'pay first' motto.


It went off recently about a fortnight back. Got the service man inspect with down payment of Rs.280/- first just to say'gas to be filled at the Taratala factory'. So far so good. Had to haul it down by my own arrangement from 7th floor at my own cost. They took delivery on 24th form down stairs and despite repeated reminders and pleading nothing could be achieved i.e. it was not repaired and returned at the basement last evening, i.e.30th. Sept., 2008. On enquiry I was informed that it will be replaced by the company but at a cost of 30% of the current price of similar or other model of theirs. I hget a 70% rebate for being their obedient and long suffering mute customer! I have to keep the draft ready and inform them against which they will book a machine from the co. and deliver at the basement only amy be within a wek or ten days.


Thus I suffer for about a month, during Ramzan Eid and the pyjas of course. To add to my agony my daughter has arrived from Bahrain for a week to spend Eid with her in-laws and Pujas with us with two grandsons and "Jamai" of course.


The company seeks Annual service contract from the very beginnig.


Very professional/mercenary in outlook.


Telephones are idetified and disconnected if you are nagging!


No senior officer to access.


No assurance to address the genuine grievances.


Thus,


It is not suited for ordinary Indians as customer relation is very poor, discourteous and non-assuring.


I have made a mistake and cannot get out of this trap. I pay more for yet another such horrible machine and men.

I was looking for a fridge for my new house in pune. Someone gave me the reference of a Whirlpool Factory second's dealer in Kondhwa. Since setting a new house involves plenty of expenses, any money saved was worth the bet.


Hence with second thought in my mind I made it to the dealer's shop. He almost all models of Whirlpool lined up. I short listed the Whirlpool Elite 340 - ICEBERG. There was a small dent on the top, but easily consealed by the fridge cover. The price of this fridge in open market was 26000 but he offered me a discount of 10000, amounting to 38% off on MRP I got free home deliver, and the demo was confirmed for the next day.


The demo engineer was from Whirlpool and he promptly explained the usage. 3 months have passed and I have no complaint whatsoever about its working. That is why I decided to go for the WHIRLPOOL Washing Machine too. which I will rate in my next review. Only Regret is that the accessory box containing the Water Jars, Cut Vegetable box, lemon box, Doe box etc was not delivered to me. Other wise it deverse a 5 star rating

I went against the poor customer reviews in mouthshut.com on Whirlpool as a product and customer service. I thought my experience can be better. I placed the order for 340Lts DLX professional model. The product came but with a glass tray missing ie incomplete product. Retailer (vasant n co) argued it comes only with 3 trays though the brochure says 4. Then he relented saying whirlpool will deliver it. Then I noticed the doors were making a loud creaking noise when opened and closed. Vasant n co disowned it saying I can contact whirlpool to fix the problem and they are not responsible.


Same moment I spoke to whirlpool manager. He said glass tray is out of stock and customer service enginner will come and see if its actually a defect. Finally when I insisted I wont pay the full amount till its rectified they said I need not buy it and took back the product back to showroom. I was shocked how can they expect me to pay the full money when the galss tray is missing and the product I payed for is incomplete!!


I would suggest not to buy whirlpool as some of colleagues also have the problem with the door of the refrigerator.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Refridgerator 280 ltrs FF/Steel from a dealer in Malviya Nagar on 19/6/2008, just a month back, but from the day of its arrival we have been facing some serious problems.  The fridge had come in at 12:00noon, and by night 9pm there was no cooling, not never the water bottles, I called the dealer the next morning and he told me a couple of silly things.


1.  At the time of installation of the fridge, one must keep the fridge empty for atleast 3 to 4 hours, but once the interiors cool then only the cooling happens in food and water.  So ok, we emptied the fridge and waited over night for something to happen.  Yet the fridge was nice and cool, so we loaded the fridge again with food items, by next day evening my milk went bad, my frozen meat items we defrosed.  The icecream was just cream no ice.


2.  I called the dealer again, but the person whom I purchased from was not there, his father attended the call, it was difficult to explain, none the less he sent me the Whirlpool Engineer.  After lots of inspecting of the fridge, he kept saying no the cooling was fine and there was nothing wrong with the fridge.  I argued with him about the icecream not freezing, when I raised my voice, the he took out some tools and opened up the freezer to check.  Lo behold, he shook his head and said, yes madam there is a gas leak and the pipes are clogged.


3.  How can this happen, I paid a huge amount almost Rs.18, 500 for the fridge and in two days already so many problems.  He assured me sometimes these things happen on the delivery and he would get and engineer to fix it the very next day.




  1. Engineer came and used gas from our cylinder which was fine and asked us to keep the fridge empty for another 4 hours, we did as instructed.




  2. All seemed fine for the next two weeks, ofcourse I was so afraid to put too many items in the freeze, so my freeze just had some ice trays, which did set, but nothing else.




  3. The third week I did some shopping and put some meat and ice cream, in the hope of finally enjoying the nice strawbery icecream, but nothing again, just cream, what the hell was wrong with this fridge.  Oh I forgot to mention, lots of water would also flow out of the back of the fridge, till date we keep a poocha near the fridge door.




  4. Called the dealer again, the dealer go intouch with the engineer, who visited yesterday, again there was some fault, he now has changed the thermostat.and says I might need a stabilizer, when clearly on the whirlpool fridge says no need for a stabilizer.  He also mentioned that he would get a modified tray fixed on.






I don't want this fridge I have run out of patience.  I called the dealer this morning, and he told me over the phone that he would put in a request for a fridge replacement.  I don't know if this is going to work.  I will come back here to let you know if my fridge got replaced.

Am back to give more feedback on my ongoing process with the complaint to whirlpool and the dealer.


After speaking to the dealer, I received a call fromt he engineer who had visited me yesterday to chekc whether the problem had been sorted out, I almost yelled at him.  The poor guy asked me to speak to his senior, after speaking to his senior, now am told that one senior technical person will be coming over this evening to visit to see the defect in the fridge.


Am am still not sure, though whether my fridge will get replaced, but am going to be very persistent .and I just hope this problem is resolved.


Just a while ago I spoke with the dealer to give him an update on my talks with the office, he then let the cat out of the bag, and told me that Whirlpool 280 litres has a manufacturing defect.  Apparently the water collection tray at the back of the fridge is too small.  And the thermostat for cooling cuts off, once the tray is full of water.  Damn is that the only issue here.  I told him but my freezer does not freeze icecream or meat, or anything, so what that got to do with the tray.  He told me that its all very technical, and now onwards the company will be remanufacturing a new tray for all 280 litre fridges, to accomodate more water at the back.


Hey come on, what sort of concept is this, am telling you Godrej is the best, with the heat from the compressor, the water in the tray normally dries up, only during humidity days when it takes longer.


The dealer has not told me to wait till saturday for a replacement.am dead sure am going to go 6 ft under before I get a new fridge.but who knows if the gods are kind to me, I might just get a new fridge.

Despite of repeated requests for servicing the door leakage, I only get false promise for getting serviced my refrigerator within a week. Now it is almost a year since lodging complain.


Now I am feeling we are being cheated. I don’t know where exactly problem is, but I fed up with repeated false promise made by whirlpool people. In no way replacing the door(as suggested by your technician) will take a year. Being an internationally recognized company, no one can expect such a bad service with those people.

We have brought whirlpool refirgrator 10 yrs back and we are using the refegrigrator frequently.It has delivered us quit good and satisfactorly results.After 1`0 yrs we are using it as same as the time we have brought it.


We are storing all daily food, milk and vegitables.Space utilisation is quit goodThere are 2 folding type rack system in it.There is inter changable bottle storing system.


Its cooling is fast we are always getting ice on time.Defrosting is also proper after 10yrs.


We called 4 times there mechanic for checking in last 10 yrs.Before this we have used Godrej and kelvinator but because of techinical problem we have to sell out them within 2 yrs.Then we have brought the Whirlpool Refrigrator and after 10 yrs also we are using it we are not planned to sell it.


My review for this product is it is strong product and reliable.But we have to maintain this product properly if there is any electrical fluctuation problem then you can get problem in this products my advise is to use stabilisor with this refrigrator.


So we are happy with the whirlpool products and there service.

I have purchased a Whirlpool 450 Ice Magic-Elite FF white Refrigerator on 28-04-2004.Ever since it has not been functioning properly.The PC Board has failed 5 times and the compressor has broken down thrice.The MCB in my house  has short circuited because of the compressor and I incurred a loss of Rs.5000/- apart from the Nightmare of being powerless for a night.Every time [till date 3 times], I have to undergo the agony of being put up without a fridge for atleast 3 days everytime the fridge breaks down and all my perishables perishing.


I was really fed up and the company gave a oral assurance that I would be replaced with a new refrigerator since july 2007.Nothinig has happened so far.I really regret buying whirlpool refrigerator.I have been very patient over the years.But lately the company executives who have given me false promises, fail to even answer my calls.

Hi friends, we are confused by lot of refrigerators in the market. Here, let me share my experience. I bought a Whirpool  Frost Free " Quick Chill" Refrigerator- Model No. GNF 220- X. It's a double Door  one with a Freezer Compartment and a Refrigerator compartment with beautifully designed body and ample storage space. I purchased it in April 2001 from Trivandrum and after two months got it shifted to my home town Calicut. Except for packing it for transportation and re-installation at Calicut, I never required the service of the company. It's giving excellent performance even after SIX years continuous usage, It still looks fresh.


The company offered 1 year warranty+ 6 years Optional Service Contract  for the sealed components( Sealed components means the heart of the Refrigerator - hermetically sealed refrigeration system components in the fridge- such as the compressor, condensing unit and evaporator) So far I had no occasion to call the service center . Only component I had to replace was the light bulb inside the refrigerator compartment, which I did myself - You can get a bulb at nominal cost from the local electrical shop.


I can say with pride that it is a real asset, a well designed fridge with much utility aspects also. Most useful are its adjustable shelves, chiller tray, fairly large vegetable  bin at the bottom row . All shelves are height adjustable and can very easily be removed for cleaning periodically. And I have no words to describe its beautiful look even after 6 Years  continuous use. It stands as the most prominent sentinel in my kitchen.


To top it all, if you are an environment friendly person, you can be proud to say that it does not use CFC( Chloro Flouro Carbons) which is a Ozone depleting substance and have much adverse impact on climate -change of the globe. So by using a NO CFC refrigerator, you are contributing to the preservation of the environment.


To get full satisfaction from your Whirpool fridge, I will advise you to:




  1. Please get the service of the company for packing the fridge when you move to a new place and also get the service at the destination end fvor installing it properly. They will charge a small sum, but it is worth, your fridge will be professionally packed and you can transport it safely.




  2. Read the User Manual thoroughly and be guided by the instructions regarding usage, periodical cleaning etc.




  3. Use a good Voltage Stabilizer to protect against sudden voltage fluctuations in the line- I recommend V- GUARD Stabilizer






It will give you years of trouble free service and peace of mind!


And about the durability, readers can judge themselves. It's already 6 years old and I have never required  any service from the company . It's fine  powder coating is still fresh and lustrous even in the coastal climate of Kerala!


Hats off to Whirlpool for this fantastic product.!


Poor Quality Products from Whirlpool

I purchased Whirlpool Refrigerator Model No. F23 Classic plus(steel) around 2.5 years back from Noida. The refrigerator started giving problems like freezing ice on items placed inside the fridge around 3-4 months back. Last week, it started throwing hot air, instead of coolness. The service center at Delhi was approached. Then started the worst ever experience. The call center guys kept on promising that their engineer would reach our home same day. After doing follow-ups for many times, finally the engineer visited 3 days later from first commitment date. He told us that this is a normal/routine problem in our product. It is due to leakage of gas from the refrigerator and it will cost us Rs 1450/-. He suggested us to purchase annual AMC for this.


I shall like to highlight one more aspect here. We purchase our last fridge 26 years back. Last year, we put it off, when my parents came to live with me. We were planning to sell this old, trouble free fridge in exchange to a new fridge from Whirlpool. Now we are planning for selling this Whirlpool fridge in exchange for a better quality fridge from some other company. Any buyers?


I shall never recommend any product from Whirlpool


for purchase because their technician has told us that all their products like AC, Fridge face similier issues every year, hence we sell AMC. What a way to force customers to pay for poor quality products being sold by the company!!!!!!!Amazing.

I had purchased aWhirlpool 420 Ltr fridge on 9th May 2001. I was very happy with its looks & confirmed with the dealer Kulkarni Bros in Dadar, Mumbai that I was making a right choice. And no doubt, first 2 years the fridge had no problems. It was only after 2003, that I started to realise what a mistake I had made in buying it.


Though I had(and still have) a service contract for maintainance(Fairdeal Associates, Wadala for 4 years at a stretch), its hardly of any use. Initially when our tray was broken, the company mentioned that as the model was  discontinued, they could not provide us with a replacement even though we were ready to pay for it. Next was the Ice tray. It was only last month that the service person told us that Whirlpool never made this model, it was bought from Samsung & sold hence they could not offer any parts.


Today my fridge leaks a lot. Even the food products inside get spoilt but I can do nothing about it. I had bought it then for about 35, 000 rs so mentally I'm unable to dispose it away & then again I've also paid till 2009 for the maintainance. SO I wonder what I should do.


So even if you see these wonderful ads of Whirlpool with Kajol & Ajay Devgan trying their best to sell their products, beware. Stay away from Whirlpool for their service is going to make you cry. Like a fool I recommended this product to quite a few friends of mine including my brother. All of them are cursing me. Even their fridge which is nearly half the size, sucks. Take care.

Whirlpool 310 Classic - NOISY!

Hi, everybody, like the proverb is there, `beware of dogs' , now even this addition should be there `BEWARE OF WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS, SPECIALLY FRIDGE' and no one should get carried away with the adiversements shown on the TV! The funniest part is, we all know that the ads shown on T.V. are just made to sell the products of the companies and there is almost no truth in whatever the companies claim to be there in their products, still people are influenced and go to buy the same product! I also got influenced by whirlpool fridge ad and bought the product `Whirlpool 310 classic' and since the day I bought this fridge, got permanent headache in my kitchen! this fridge makes noise like anything.


Since the fridge was in warranty period, made complaint, and called mechanic, he came and changed the timer, said the timer is making noise, after changing the timer also the fridge did't stop making noise, so again I made complaint , so again another fellow came, he heard the noise, still acted dumb, and said, this is normal, there is no noise, he was listening but nicesly denied.


There was heated argument between us, lastly he agreed, all whirlpool fridges are making like this noise, even if I buy replacement, again I would get like this only , NOISY FRIDGE! Now I am not so rich to throw out this fridge and buy new one! So folks, beware of these products, never buy anything from Whirlpool, my sincere request.

When we bought a FF450 Elite model, it was for it's looks and spacious design. Alternately we were  considering Hitachi, but decided in whirlpool's favour since we believed that having been in Indian markets for  a while the after sales support and servicing would be better than Hitachi. However we were proven very wrong. Right after buying the ref. started giving us problems.


*1. Food goes bad within 2 - 3 days.




  1. Even when left overnight in the ref. the water is not chilled .




  2. The ref. smells.




  3. There is a lot of moisture in the fridge.




  4. Food in fridge grows moulds and fungs within 4days






*On complaining to the customer care, the person who came from the service centre told us that it is not appropriate to store food in fridge for more than 2-3 days.


On next complaint, the service centre people came and told us to clean the fridge, and operate it empty for 4-5 hrs and then store edibles.


Still I am getting the same problem.


I have been using godrej frost free for last ten years and never have had any such kind of problems.

not been solved by the engineers who keep coming over. We reside at

Folks, I know I'm writing this under the wrong product category, but I'm highly disgusted with the company named Whirlpool. I hv written a letter to them and I'm pasting this under for you to understand the problem and realise not to ever indulge in any of their products. My complaint is with their refrigerators, but i've alos seen many of their A/cs leak and othr products not function properly in my friends' place.


So here's the letter. Please read it and be a smart customer.


I have a major complaint with your company about your product.


We bought a high end model refidgerator of whirlpool with a 7 year warranty. From the very first day, we have faced problems which have not been solved by the engineers who keep coming over. We reside at Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.

The problems with the fridge include, and are not limited to:




  1. Frosting in the freezer compartment,




  2. Humidity in the Non freezer compartment(the refridgerator section)




  3. Spoiling of the food stuff.






The engineers say that there may be a problem with the alignment of the doors of the refridgerator. But even after fixing the doors umpteen times, the problem persists! There is an engineer Mr. Sachin, who frequents our place for the complaints. He knows the problem and admits that his supervisors do not pay heed to our complaints. His supervisors include Mr. Deepak and Mr. Basir.


We feel that the service and warranties and guaranties and all those claims of the company is all a hoax. We may hv a 7 year warranty, but the problem does not get solved! The engineers come on time but whats the use. The fridge remains the same! This is a harassment for us as we selected this product over a no of choices, and we truly regret it.


Let me tell you we are so unhappy with the product that though we need more appliances in our house as we have just renovated it, we will definitely not go for whirlpool products. I have been driven to a point where I'm left with no other option but to go to the consumer court under the consumer protection act 1986.


Great Cooling and Response

I bought this Whirlpool genius, a very cute looking refrigerator, when I was pursuing B.E.


Cooling:


Great in cooling. I never run it even at medium cooling. At minimum (highest temperature setting), the cooling is great. I never faced food going stale even after a week (though you should not eat so old food). At medium the temperature is chilling. Within an hour a 2 litre coke is cold enough for drinking. If you set it at the coolest (Hi) setting, even the food or liquid that is kept on the lowest racks are frozen! Even the 2 litre coke freezes. Believe me, I am not exaggerating. It is a fact. The Whirlpool ad is 100% genuine. It is really Whirlpool Quick Chill!


Looks:


Very cute looking and attractive. Mine is red.


The color finishing is very good. If you apply some wax - based polish, you can wipe off any food that spills over it very easily.


Capacity: Though mine is only 180L, it is large enough to keep 4.5 litre pressure cooker (with lid), one kadai of average size, 3 dekchis (deep utensils in which we boil milk, cook rice), three 2 litre coke bottles, three 1.5 L coke bottles, one 1 litre coke bottle, plenty of small things (butter), many vegetables, and a lot. I am quite a lazy kind of boy. Therefore, I keep the food still in cooker and kadai directly into the fridge.


*Durability:



I got it transported on a truck from Sullia ( 2 hours from Mangalore) to Bangalore. Further, the thermostat quality is very good. It is very sensitive and no matter how many times you change the settings, it never breaks up. My parents and also my granny bought godrej each. Withing two weeks, both refrigerators' thermostats failed. Sound: Very silent, sometimes I need to touch the condensor coil to sense any vibrations in order to make sure the compressor is running.


Weight: Very less and handy. I can move it with my left hand while cleaning the floor as if it were a personal cooler!


*Cons:



1. If you place bottles of average size (like medium - sized ketchup bottles) into the bottle- holder rack (present on the door), the bottle will slip out from underneath the hold-bars. This is because, the position of the hold-bars is such that there is quite a big gap between the bottom of the rack and the bar.


2. Body is too weak. Even a normal bang dents the body nicely.


Above all, a great product from Whirlpool. Initially, whirlpool and kelvinator had collaboration. Both are great at making refrigerators. My parents also have a kelvinator. It is now 25 years old. It is still chilling. Only twice its thermostat failed. Its compressor is highly durable. If you want to go for a refrigerator, go for either Whirlpool or Kelvinator. Don't see left or right. One fine dayas I woke up in the morning – that was a typical summer morning in Delhi with no power and quite hot, my lil bro walked up to me with questioning eyes – I can make out that there was something annoying him by his looks only and he was going to demand something now. He still has that habit of beating around the bushes before coming to the point. He said, “You go to the office and sit in the AC room with plenty of cold drinks”. All I cud do is light my cigarette and nod “Yeah I do”. Second “I will be living in this mess with no power and no cold drinks”, Again I said “so what?” puffing on my ciggy. He said “I need some money”, OK I was already ready for that, next he said, “Give me 8-10K today before you go to office”. I was like “WHAT:O – wtf you need that much of money for?” He said “Fridge Khardina Hai”. With a promise to him that I will be going to the ATM on my way back and we will buy one later in the evening – I went to the office where another surprise awaits.


I was working with a small consulting company at that time in Delhi, during lunch I got a call from one of the consultants I placed earlier in the month with a good client. He wanted to meet me, and I could imagine that there must be something wrong on site with the client that this guy wanted to meet me and my mind started the calculation of the lost incentive on which I was counting this month - if at all this guy wanted to pull himself off the company. Ready for a shock I told him to come to the office and meet me, to that he further shocked and surprised me by telling that he was right there on the ground floor waiting for me. I was like perplexed and why not as boss was still in the cabin and that jerk was down below. To my amazement he gave me a ear to ear grin, shook my hand and told me that he was way too happy with his job / company and came to thank me for same and also wanted to give me some sort of gift. Can you take a wildest guess what he did bring me as a gift? He bloody came with a crate of Fosters Beer. As I placed him with fosters.


As these things happened with a very less margin and that too in the same day – I accepted that God was giving me signalsthat I needed to shell out 8K as told by bro and go for a refrigerator.


Unfortunately I am an impulsive shopper and do not get into much of the details while I buy anything and I feel a bit lucky too as whatever I go for, it lasts me quite long as this fridge did too. Later in the day we went to our favorite electronic shop in Noida – Kay Dee electronics and bought this cute little baby(165 ltr), it’s not white and it’s not gray but its something in between. I loved that Whirlpool cute mom(MILF) who used to come in all its advertisement, dunno where she is gone these days, now please don’t ask me the full form of that abbreviation. I know you already know - so we gradually settled for a whirlpool without even looking at the other options.


I was told that this was the first refrigerator with Trade Mark Door cooling technologywherein they have given 6 holes on each side of the door, which keeps the stuff cool on both the shelves. I am sure that Frost free was not an option at that time and I was very surprised to see Whirlpools campaign about this fridge which had a feature that you just need to defrost it and the water will automatically be vaporized and one had not to worry about pulling that chill tray out of the fridge and throw the water out a couple of times. How that worked was very simple – all they had done was installed a outlet pipe right from that chill tray below the freezer to an outlet on the back of the refrigerator and have fixed up a big tub right above the compressor, so all the water will be collected in that tub and will slowly vaporize with the heat generated by the compressor. What a good idea. I liked it and settled for it.


Second good thingwas that this came with a 7 years warranty and the price was good too a little less than 8K as told by bro. Until now in the last 5 years we have not faced any issues with it and that’s why I can’t tell anything about the customer service, but I heard that whirlpools service is good.


It has the normal three racks inside the fridge they are height adjustable with cooling control regulator, if you keep it on max you can have the ice cubes in about 20 minutes, normally we keep it on 5-6 in summers and 1-2 in winters. Two rows for water bottles – one big for coke 2 ltr types and one small for pet bottles, 12 pack egg shelves and one small shelf for may be medicines or butter kindda stuff etc. Vegetable tray is quite big and ok for our small family with a glass top which is yet to be broken. Door rubber, puff and door hinges has not given way yet, even after some harsh blows from my side on my days of frustrations, it has faced good as well as bad times with me in the last so many years and is still intact. Doesn’t make any kind of noise. Even stickers I had pasted on it(now taken off by wifey) have not harmed the paint in anyways. It has four small feet and stands firm on them; door closes automatically in case if you forget after taking off something.


Durability:you can guess its durability with the fact that in last 5 years – it has traveled with me from Noida to Ghaziabad to Gurgaon to Hyderabad – almost like 2000 kms that too without its original packing. Never did its gas leaked or something. The only thing is its bulb did fused once. We had learnt our practical geography lessons thru our fridge, as that made me understand the real meaning of Stalactites and Stalagmites and I could really imagine how life would be in Antarctica as defrosting it once a month is something one should remember, which we used to forget normally. Once when my mom visited us long back she literally was shocked to see the growing trees on the ice cream bricks inside the freezer, which we kept and forgot to eat.


The only concern and weak point it has is the iron net on the backside, which used to come earlier; we need to keep it at a minimum distance of 6” from the wall. Now a day I think it doesn’t comes anymore. That looks fragile to me every time I shift.


Now I am looking forward to exchanging it this season with a bigger double door model, as that’s the need of time.


We almost had fun for quite sometime after we bought it the other day as those beers lasted us not for long but it was fun to have a fridge full of beers and anytime you feel like you go and pick up a bottle, gulp it down and burp!


My Recommendation:I will recommend whirlpool any day over other brands for its durability and performance.

I recently had chance of changing my new refridgerator. When I visited a lot of show rooms, I found whirlpool to be one of the best among all the models. It has gud option and making ppl feel better, even electricity consumption is minimal.


Hope you can prefer even the lowest model of Whirlpool. This model comes with a great color called duet blue, that is the one that I have. The way they have designed is great and the look is superb. May be you can try to use this model and make this 230 litres refridgerator one of your family member. Feel the chill and avoid being hit by the electricity bill. This single door has alarm option and you can use it when your child mis handles the fridge.


Hope you can prefer even the lowest model of Whirlpool. This model


comes with a great color called duet blue, that is the one that I have.


The way they have designed is great and the look is superb. May be you


can try to use this model and make this 230 litres refridgerator one of


your family member. Feel the chill and avoid being hit by the
