Pls don't buy whirlpool product. I have purchased my whirlpool sensation neo fully automatic front loaded washing machine. . it not at all washing well.. the dirt remain in the clothes as it ..it wash of money and water.useless washing machine. That not suitable for washing..after one year the machine stagnate water automatically in the washing drum.


The washed clothes remains dirty after wash also, ..pls don't buy this washing machine..maximum whirlpool product are worst product....it waste of money ...I also brought whirlpool ac 1 tons at it first installation itself it not working ..there is a circuit board problem in whirlpool product.

I bought this machine in June 2008. Till now I have not got a single load cleaned to my satisfaction. After about a week, the clothes started stinking. Whatever dirt or residue from the clothes would be visible on them even after washing. After about two months, the machine managed to rip off most of my clothes. Whenever I call the serivce people, they tell me to reduce quantity of soap. As if, the quantity of soap has any connection to tearing the clothes.


After two years, we got rid of this machine and bought a front-loading machine.


I strongly do not recommend to buy this or any whirlpool machines. Their technicians are only interested in selling off their other accessories, like residue remover, cover for machine, etc. and are not at all interested or qualified to attend to your machine's problems. They are also most interested in securing the customer satisfaction code from you. That is their main priority.

I bought this Product Last year and not even 6 months had passed when the compressor being erratic. It keeps switching off after 15 minutes of start and doesn't start working thereafter. For 3 months I have been complaining to the service center - first they take days to respond, then there are intermittent delays and finally what ever they diagnose and say they fix - IT just Doesn't work at all.


I have complained to the Area Manager and then they changed the capacitor, then refilled Gas, then took 2 weeks to change the compressor and finally Its still where it is. IT JUST DOESN'T WORK.


So in nutshell THIS Particular Product is pathetic, so is the service. I am just waiting this last chance else I go to the Consumer Court.

After studied well the Airconditioners and its market price, I have decided to buy an split A/C from Arasan electronics, 5 Roads, salem, TN. I went to the show room to select one from leading brands.


I was looking for few brands which were on higher end of budget but the service outlets at Salem was not so good, The shop incharge then gave a big lecture on Whirlpool regarding its 6th sense, auto cleaning, fragrant&anti-bacterial filter, MPFI compressor ..bla ..bla for a price of 26.5K. I settled for it and paid the price in one shot. Same day the Split and Out-door unit reached my home, but I had to struggle with them for about a week for installation of the same.


So far so good, but it is just another A/C, on detailed investigation , I found that there is no Anti-bacterial filter and no Fragrance filter either in the Indoor unit. God knows whether the out door is MPFI or not. No Auot cleaning also.


The Ads and promos in their Brouchers and website say a lot which is not reallty existing in the machine. For me it is cheating or fraudulent act. I have notified their customer care, they sent thier engineer, he also agreed with me and told he will fit those things missing. But till today not happened. the customer care doesn’t care. Their toll free number doesn’t respond. Similar A/C machine with other reputed manufacturers are available atleast 5 to 6k cheaper. Whirlpool took money for the features do not really exist. I do not understand also what is 6th sense..in it?


Also I happened to read a post on the same make on March 2010, seems like an Ad by the company. Really Whirlpool is a master mind in cheating their customers in partnership with their outlets.

I am based in Bangalore.


I have Whirlpool Washing m/c (Front-load, Fully-automatic, 5kg , T50 WhiteMagic) brought in 2004 for ~15, 000/-.


The m/c was working Ok-type till recently. Now I have discovered that whole of bottom plate of the m/c is rusted and the m/c is unable to balance itself.This renders the m/c useless. I launched a service req for this with the Whirlpool service center.


The service guy inspected it yesterday and he says the complete body unit has to be replaced...and to my amazement. The body unit is no longer available with WHIRLPOOL. Now, a washing m/c is not brought everyday. This was brought 5yrs back and WHIRLPOOL seems to have phased out all kind of support for this model?


What kind of a company does that? The m/c is supposed to survive for at least 10+ yrs...and now if  all the service support is removed. How is the customer supposed to act?


The service-man said he cannot do anything...and i'll have to fix the problem myself...somehow....Now, how am I supposed to do that?


Firstly, I was given wrong advice during the installation itself that the whole apparatus is RUST-FREE. believing the guys advice. I didn't buy a stand and now I stand a big fool and loser that whole m/c is now useless and company is also making merry by saying that no support is available. The company is named aptly as Whirlpool. A Whirlpool sucks any object into its vortex and they as a company suck the customer's money, time and confidence, leaving them high and dry.

Its been almost a year since I have bought my Fiesta.


I love adventure sports.It requires going to rough terrains with extreme climates. An SUV could have well served my purpose, but my family wanted a comfortable and spacious family car only. Thus my requirement was of a car which was while sturdy, powerful like an SUV was at the same time comfortable like a family car.


When I was planning to buy it I went through numerous sites and reviews on cars in the range of 5-10 lacs.I talked with people owning the cars in this range there experiences.Did SWOT analysis, test driving and what not. I almost took 2 months to decide.Finally I ended up buying it.


In the last one year, I have driven it to the extremely cold, landslided, high snowfall, frozen river places in the Himalayas where even the Mahindra Jeep and tata sumo walas refused to go.I have driven through hot and arid desert roads of Rajasthan. The car never failed me. Its highly dependable and extremely powerful.


Driving it is a pleasure that can not explained and showing it off to the SUV owners(with SUV owners I mean people who have driven their SUVs in frozen rivers, over the fresh and moving landslides(with 50% angle), or have crossed monsoon mountain rivers, where error is known as death, and not plain leh ladakh /khar dung la pass route wallahs) is pride that you can always boast of. My family at the same time is very happy and satisfied with the comfortable and smooth driving experience of this wonder car. These are some of the reasons which made me go FIDA . Hope this will help you in making your decision esp if your requirements are similar to mine.


Let me also dwell upon an area that can be of a slight concern. Though I give 100% marks to FORD for this marvel but to their A.S.S., I will give only 90%.This should not bother you much on making your decision as most probably you would need to go to the dealer only for servicing.

Bad Service (Complaint at consumer court)

My father purchased a whirlpool fully automatic washing machine (Sensation Neo) on 10/06/08 from Thekkekara Home Appliances (whole sale dealer), Near SB College Changanacherry, Kerala who claimed to be the whole sale dealer in WhirlPool products. It was promised that this was the popular product and we chose Whirlpool again because we were using TVS Whirlpool top loading machine for over 15 years.


The machine stopped working in the first week of December, 2009. The serviceman from Kottayam, Kerala examined and told that it cannot be repaired here at our place. They wanted us to deliver the machine to the service centre at our expense even when it was still in the guarantee period. They later said that the machine cannot be repaired and it has to be replaced. Then they said that they have to get concurrence from Delhi office to replace the machine.


We called the Toll free number couple of times  which they explained that it would be rectified immediately. We waited for a month, but there was no response. My aged father and mother need this machine for their daily use and this kind of delay in their service is taking their toll on their health and time.


In March 2010 my father approached the consumer court for a solution. The case is still pending at the court. Whirlpool service called last week promising that they will settle outside the court. The settlement??


Repaired washing machine with no guarantee (they had the machine with them for the past 5 months). So guys stay away from WhirlPool Sensation Neo (if they are still selling it) or any side loading washing machine from Whirlpool (the first mechanic in fact told my father that Sensation Neo has issues). I personally use a Whirlpool Splash Top loading w/m for the past 2.5 years with no issues so far...touch wood.


But I am sure that when I do, I will run into problems with their service.


Bottom line: The products from Whirlpool may be of good quality, but once it comes to service they are pathetic.

I have  recently ( 24th Apr'10) purchased Whirlpool Window air conditioner Mastermind Royale 1.5 tonne from Chitra Electronics, Jacobpura, Gurgaon. It has costed me Rs 19, 500 + Stabiliser+ installation ( Rs 22700) + Reebok shoes. Customer friendly showroom.


My initial choices were Carrier / Voltas but they seem to be slightly expensive. Positive review from a friend made me to have a look at Whirlpool. Value for Money, very efficient cooling have tilted my attention towards Whirlpool.


It has been around 3 weeks. Positives are Quick and efficient cooling . Amazed by the quick and prompt service . Negatives are Sound. I am not very happy with the sound the compressor makes when it's working.Service engineers knowledge seem to be just OK. They need to improve on this.

Main issues




  1. I think company allots sales targets to service engineers.  They threaten of poor washing if certain add ons not used. So initial visits, we lost considerable money.  Later we learnt lesson not to listen to these engineers




  2. Poor service quality: Multiple visits to close one issue




  3. High AMC cost: Last year I paid around 17% of original cost as AMC.




  4. High R&M: In spite of AMC, I spent nearly 15 to 20% of original cost for spares not covered by AMC




  5. Frequent repair: Once in 6 months we had issues. They do not have preventive maintenance concept to avoid this.






Overall: In spite of high maintenance cost, frequent repair and unfriendly service men, washing is poor.  Hence, I will not go for any whirlpool product.

I own a  Whirlpool Whitemagic F 65  Fully automated Washing machine. It is  Just 2.5 years since I had purchased and things were going fine with the machine till yesterday when we found it suddenly out of order.  On lodging a complaint a service engineer from  Whrilpool Customer Care visited and on inspection said that the Control  Panel  (PCB) is gone and needs to be replaced. He gave me an estimate of  Rs 3500 including the labour and new board charges.


On probing I was told by the service person that Panels can go off at anytime and this may be due to power (voltage) problem.  I am sure it is not due to power problem as voltage at my locality in Chennai is quite good at any time, and it is due to the filthy making of  PCB that Whirlpool has made.


I read others reviews of the same problem just now and realised where the problem is. Many more others would have faced the same problem but would not have found time in writing a review in this forum.  Maintaining a  WP washing machine could be like owning an elephant. I am sure it is going to burn my pocket every time from now, when some or the other parts including  PCB may go out of order any time owing to the lesser life of the product and not due to customers negligence.


The best way to escape from this is to sell this machine off and buy a new machine of some other brand or to go for an AMC with the WP service centers, which again would amount to spending from our pocket.


Thanks for the company who make us bleed for the fault of theirs.

We purchased this machine in 2002.touch wood there was no problem with it, until my wife( who wants all things in ultimate perfection ) found out that there was a slight leakage problem.(roughly 8 yrs)


In spite of my telling her to ignore it, she insisted that it should be shown in service center.


And that was the start of real problem.they said that the dumper had gone faulty and also the main switch had gone faulty.any way after changing and severely bruising the beautiful drum of the machine (which was spot less before admitting in ICU ) real problem started. And now the final diagnosis is that the logic card has gone faulty.and they say replacement is quite expensive.


My submission is that there should be some mechanism by which only repairing charges of the card can be charged.i have seen the card and feel that resistance R34 or R29 have become faulty(charring observed) Fault is that the machine would stop at rinse function and sometimes would forget to stop the water intake in the initial stage.


To sum up all products are generally good but the after sales service is very important and due care in constantly improving their tech know-how is equally important and rewarding.

I purchased while pool after step up and down in couple of shops in and around valasaravakkam. I've purchased it an year back. With in one or two months time my machine gone mail function after i made the complaint the same day support guy turned down to my home and did some basic test and replaced the board. He told the reason may be electrical supply is not proper, it's partially true since in our flat some times we faced problem with the electricity / power failure.


Another time we made the complaint because the we had a doubt that the machine is not working properly, this time they elaborate more about the functions slowly and told there is no problem with the machine or function. Price is nearly 14k when I've purchased an year back. Just check in whirl pool godowns is available at the end of ramapuram road (near miot hospital).


I could say it's good in washing and good support in Chennai.

Recently I purchased Whirlpool Mastermind. I purchased the product after a thorough review. It is worth for our hard earned money. No other company has given this much of care while giving the product for a Customer. It has sleek interiors and electricity consumption is comparatively low when compare to other products. Maintenance is easy and handling is simple.


So Whirlpool Mastermind is worth to buy. I recommend the product to all my friends and it will be good to go to this product without consulting others. The only thing that has to be reviewed is it's price. Moreover in Viveks the price is negotiable one and to buy Whirlpool Mastermind go to Viveks.

I had bought this fridge around 7 months back, the sales manager at the electronics outlet informed that a Whirlpool technician would visit us(after fixing an appointment) within one week of delivery to give a'Product DEMO'. I am still waiting for that to happen. The delivery boys connected the fridge and informed us that the product can be used after 4 hours. The product has been performing well:-)


What made me unhappy is that I did not even receive a courtesy call to check if I need a DEMO or not. I use other Whirlpool products and am quite satisfied with the customer service, I expected the same level of service for all its products.

Dear viewer, please go through the below complaint so far the manufacturer has not responded in spite of several reminders! So please decide how good is the product and customer service please be careful and think 10 times before you could buy their products.


Dear Sir/Madam,


With reference to the above I had purchased a splash white magic fully automatic washing M/C model no.10362 on 13th Feb.2009 and with in the guarantee period it been attend twice for various reasons(SR.NO.29773&10746) and after the second repair attended now the new problem is started which is getting reset if the power goes off and it will not start automatically we have to start the programme and it will start from beginning. Same has been reported to your customer care vide ref.no.DL1209009006 dated 12/12/09 and promptly your technician attend the call and now he is denying saying that there is no such memory back up in this model and advised me to speak to the company I can not do any thing in this regard.


I therefore do not understand logic in this we were using this M/C for last few months and kindly note we are in Delhi where you find frequent power failure and we have observed this starting the m/c from where it stops now after the repair how can this functions changes convenient to your technician. So therefore kindly let me know the specification of this m/c in written since this thing is not mentioned in users manual any where about this.


Kindly revert back with favorable replay. Otherwise exchange this m/c with new if you are not going diagnose correctly it is already been repaired twice so I can allow you to experiment this m/c again and again.

This is just not acceptable. I bought the Whirlpool Whitemagic, fully automatic, 6.5 kgs capacity, top loading washing machine just 2 months back and now the PCB fails….


I am a middle-class working lady, working for 10 hours a day, spending an hour each travelling to and fro to work and for my convenience I shelled my hard earned 16, 000 bucks in all. One morning I woke up only to realize that the machine just does not switch on. Since I had to wash the clothes on my own I reached late to work, my boss took my case left and right, had to work overtime to finish my work and returned home totally exhausted. The mechanic who visited the other day examined and said that the PCB of the machine had failed.


To my luck, since it was in the guarantee, warranty period I didn’t have to spend on the replacement. I have heard that the replacement costs somewhere between 5k to 7k which is a huge amount especially for middle class people like us who have to slog for almost a month to earn that money back.


When I inquisitively asked that guy the reason for the failure of the PCB, he said that it could be due to the moisture since the machine is installed in the bathroom. This came as a sad surprise to me since it contradicted to what the mechanic who had come for the first installation said. I had made it very clear to him that I will need to keep the machine in the bathroom since I live in a compact house.


He confirmed that it would not harm the machine and further did an upselling by motivating me to buy their branded water and rust proof, powder coated trolley and cover to avoid any damage. Considering the safety factor and a onetime spend, I paid him the money although I found it more expensive than the ones available in the market.


To further add to my misery the trolley has also started rusting and the mechanic with a sarcastic smile said that this should have been anticipated as it is kept in a moist place. Man, this is like fooling people. Just a marketing stunt to recover the reasonable amount quoted during sale. The other aspects of the washing machine such as washing, rinsing etc are also average. It does not dry the clothes unlike my earlier semi-automatic machine. I read some reviews today which say that the machine is designed to perform only for 2-3 years. And I bought this considering the durability aspect. My only concern now is how long this replaced PCB will survive? I definitely cannot afford the cost of replacement.

We had bought a whirlpool washing machine white magic with 6th sense technology.serial number 11306.model number INF091000105 from Bahrain(Middle east). Date of Purchase is 7th July 2009. It was shipped directly to Kochi along with our other household items. The package was opened and I started using this machine only in India. Once I started using I found out that the hot water sensor is not working.


I had lodged a complaint with the customer care in September.complaint no 14921.My complaint was lodged under my id 9633940120. The technician did visit us and told that the sensor has to be changed. Since the spare part was not availabe at that moment.I was told it will take 10 days.I again contacted the customer care at Cochin.after 2 weeks. I was also told that since this product is yet to come into the market the spare part is not readily available and it will take time but they will definitely get the spare part.


I am surprised that this product is manufactured in India in Pondicherry and the spare parts are not available in the market?The other thing noted was that if the product manufactured in India is bought outside India and brought back to India will not be covered under the Warranty. Anyways I waited for another few weeks but nobody followed up on my complaint. again I called up and lodged my complaint again. I was told that I can expect one of the technicians to contact me on this matter but again I did not receive any call or visit for many weeks. In the mean time I found out that the dryer/draining is not working properly and clothes are still wet and dripping. Again I lodged a complaint and also reminded them that my hot water sensor is still not changed.


The customer care person told me that one of their senior persons will contact me in couple of hours time. I did not receive any call that day. Again I called the next day and again I get the same answer. When I told them that I am disgusted and absolutely disappointed with their service my call is forwarded to their Cochin Branch where I was told that their senior person has left the office and I will be contacted the next day. This happened during the first week of December.I must have made atleast 6 to 7 calls.


I am cursing that I bought this product. I AM UTTERLY DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WHIRLPOOL SERVICE. I WILL NEVER GO FOR A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AND WILL DEFINIETLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE ARE HAVING SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE FROM A BRAND. WE HAD GOT EXCELLENT SERVICES FROM BRANDS LIKE LG, SAMSUNG.

Pathetic AMC service

We bought this machine in 2004.  We had two other machines before this one.  the frist one was a


top loader and the second one was a fully automatic front loader.  Though this machine has not given any problem to us, the whole thing started after we took a AMC for two years in 2008.


The AMC covers only vital parts like the mother board of electronic circutitary, motor and things that are "Critical" to the working of the machine and not like cover lid, agitator etc.  However, one thing is certaain.  You need to follow-up with the service personnel couple of times before they attend.  The will atttend at their own sweet time and not consider whether anyone will be home at that point of time.  they can not give exact time of arrival and therefore, you may loose a full day waiting for them like it happened the other Saturday for us.  After arrival, they would give products like "ScaleGon" @Rs 135  per pack to be used every month and that too 6 months' requirement.  They do not sell single pieces.


Though the scali ng to the extent in our machine was after prolonged use for more than 5 yrs, they do not have the self-suggested courtesy to use one pack while servicing the machine.  This is the first time in 2 yrs of our AMC, we have called them.  That  too, as the AMC is coming to a close and they need to renew it, we had to use all our perusasion skills to make them come at the time we are at home!


Well, Whirlpool has to sit-up.  In fact, this attitude of theirs has made me change my Whirlpool Refrigerator to another brand whose service is far superior to the one being provided by Whirlpool by miles.

Complaint:  First day, it started dancing.Service Guy: Asked us to buy a stand as the flloor is not even


After 6 months: Stopped remembering where it left after a power outageService: The electronic board has to be changed


After 1 Year:  Stopped washingService: Water is not pure. u need to clean the m/c with 100ml of crystal provided by them


Every year the game repeated.


After 5 Years: Machine does not work, when it comes to'spin' modeService: I have cleaned. it should work properly from here onwards


5 YEARS 2 DAYS: Only normal mode is workingService: Requires a deeper cleaning


Now: Nothing works.Service: We will bring chemicals and clean it, max: you have to give HARPIC! [Boom! better call it as upsell rather than cross-sell. Atleast harpic works:) ]


BTW: None of the service charge is less than Rs. 900/-
