Viveks WORST ever service., Its my 3rd worst

I am really frustrated with viveks and experiencing the worst service.


Purchased Hitachi AC from viveks OMR on 18th April. It was promised after 24 hours from delivery installation will be done.


Delivery happened on 21 april by really irritating delivery persons in lungi as dress that too by 10PM.


I was waiting for installation, got frustrated and called viveks on 24th April,  he answered like how will I know if it got delivered, only you customer should say, atlast promised tomorrow installation will be over.  I called thricr from morning(25th April) he responded  it will be done on Monday.


Is a customer fool jus for trusting Viveks again and again

What ever Home consumer product we wanna buy, we directly land up at the Vivek, T.Nagar.  We have purchased over a dozen of product from Vivek like - 3 ACs(2 Split and 1 window), Owen, 2 Washing machines, grinder, mixie, Induction stove, gycer and so on.


We have purchase products from about 4 Viveks showrooms in Chennai -


1) Viveks, T Nagar.


2) Viveks, Adyar,


3) Viveks Nanganallur and


4) Viveks Tambaram.


The T Nagar Viveks is the best in sense of luck, inquiry, service, customer support, pricing until Delivery. They are good in the After sales service too and respond little quicker.


The Tambaram Viveks is also good and we have been lucky. we god the induction stove from Tambaram and its been 2 yrs and still working great!  But dont visit there often because they have limited range of products and their parking is a hectic.


But the other two - Adyar and Nanganallur are very worst and is very unlucky to us. The products purchased from there fail and even their custormer service and support is way worst. They Advertise for outdated products and mesmerize to buy.


The Good -


1) Large Range of variety at the the stores especially at T nagar.


2) Customers are given warm welcome by the guiders.


3) The inquiry and Sales process is very good and smooth.  They give us every detail we want.


4) the delivery is also good. They deliver on the day we expect.


5) the pricing is too nominal and basing.


6) Viveks sell all home appliances including electronic goods like TV and phones!


7) Good After sales response and inquiry.


The Bad -


1) The after sale Feedback support is very irritating. We ordered a AC and the feedback team called us even b4 the AC delivery asking for the AC rating.  I told her "how can I rate the product, even b4 receiving it".


2) The Showroom support guys are not that informative and they some dont answer wat we ask.


3) most of the advisers advise about the product which they like and sell more. But they dont look into our hearts!


Verdict - This is a one store wer u can find many home appliances in huge range!  But their showroom suport need improvement.  They r not that helpful.

Viveks HomeServe - no commitment at all

I have called Viveks Homeserve for Sony LED tv issue and they came next day(31/3/14) to collect the tv.  But after that there were no call or update from them for one week. So I started calling their customer service daily from 6/4/14,  and they also inform that concerned department will call me.  but no calls from them and so no updates about tv.


After 2 weeks and finally they agreed to give manager's number.  but no difference,  he too repeats the same dialogue everyday, that the tv will be delivered today.  so it seems they were not serious about commitment to clients,  just they expect them to wait in vain.

My Worst experience buying a product from Viveks

I purchased a Crompton 20L Aircooler from Viveks Selaiyur Show room. Staff were nice demoing the products and everything. After I purchased the product they said it will be delivered to my home next day itself. But it didn't happen at all.


I have to mention about their customer care here. When I call them everyday about the delivery they always says that we'll update you same day about the delivery, but they never does that. Anything they say is to cool you down and hold your escalation further.


Also it's a not a toll free number, it will cost you fortune if you call it from ur mobile. Its been a week I'm still waiting on my product to be delivered. I humble request to ppl read this feedback is showrooms are still having mentality that ppl dont have any alternate but online retailers are doing better job than them. Unfortunately for me Aircoolers are sold out during this year summer season.


Wrong info about the products

We just purchased the mixer grinder (Morphy Richards) from Vivek's and the person from Vivek's had given wrong product description. (He had told few features to be present in the product which in real are not available.)


Please check the products and their features from the respective company websites before buying.


Shameful that Vivek's would want to sell a product based on false descriptions and features to allure the customers.

Viveks cheater in home appliance selling

Four years back I was transferred to Chennai from Cochin. Climate of these two are extremely different.Unbearable hotness in Chennai during summer was nightmare for us. We decided to go in for AC to cope up with this problem.


We had choice of Hitachi and O general. We went to Adyar Viveks for exploring rate of these two brands. But representative of viveks started convincing me to buy Panasonic. After repeated request for showing my choice they were go on convincing me to settle in Panasonic.


Finally I bagged Panasonic AC with high expectation. After installation upon switched on AC no cool air. Technician checked outer unit and found no Gas. They prepared to fill gas but I denied and made them call their manager. After long violent argument with him  manager promised me to replace it with new one. I was tediously tracking my request for replacement by making many calls.


Finally new one was fixed.but it delivered average performance for a year and went out of order with leakage problem. Now I am desperately looking for guy to fix it. Later I learned that my model AC was obsolete.  When Panasonic ceased production of this model I was forced to purchase by Viveks for stock clearance So everything right from service to product everything is worst.Don't have any deal with Viveks.They are number one Cheater. I took their AMC they did two useless dry service but didn't do wet service as written in AMC contract in that period.

Viveks Home Service - Worst Ever Service!

Even though I am a Platinum member they treat members badly. Most unhappy with the air-conditioning installation services.


I gave them three air-conditioners to install. The installation was faulty and most importantly - BADLY FINISHED and the managers don't want to own up and take responsibility - they unashamedly ask you to re-pay for the same work that they screwed up. BAD SERVICE AND NO ETHICS make up Vivek Home Serve.

Vivek Home Service is a unique concept which I was very excited to be a part of platinum customer, I took one year membership for repair and service of all home appliance including plumber, carpenter and electrician.


I have registered a complain for samsung AC not working and there is water leakage from the indoor unit .It has been more than 2 months and till now no body has come to service the same. They only boast about maintaining maintain service standards which apparently is failed.


They dont even give senior official's number to escalate the problem.Always promise to send somebody across but no body turns up.Really annoying.i have even demanded to cancel my membership and refund my money back.


Hopeless service! Don't go for them even if its free.

Poor quality of Installation & Service for new AC

I had bought two new ACs(Voltas 1.5 T) from Viveks AC Bazar, Chennai this summer.   The delivery came on time.


However the installation team was very irresponsible in sticking to their time commitment and after much delay and follow up, got the ACs installed.   Their quality of work was very poor.  Pipes fixed externally looked very shabby  and our apartment association complained about it.   Then the problem started, when water was leaking inside the room and ice chips were falling out of the split AC. On reporting the matter to customer service,  their technician came and admitted that it is installation error by their contractors who did the job.  The contractors also did not bother to give a job completion document.


It was even more humiliating when the customer service person said that  the contractors are not responsible and gave some excuse on the situation and that I need to bear the charges for re-fixing.    It is the responsibility of the installing team to assess the condition decide best method to fix the ACs.  However it appeared they did a poor job and not willing to rectify at their cost.   It is almost two months and the issue is still not resolved. It is absolutely disappointing that a company of this repute has very poor quality  contract staff for installation and service, who have no commitment  and  slack response to customer service even while installing new units.


I will think twice before buying any high value products from Viveks in future have decided to buy additional  ACs for my project from another shop.

This is Amit Kadam and I have purchased below items from Viveks OMR Kadanchavadi branch


1) Samsung Washing Machine


2) Sharp AC 1.1 ton

Vivek's website ad states, they offer Sharp AC but that offer was denied by Viveks OMR shop and though I bought the above items, they have agreed to deliver on 10 June 2014 between 6-8 PM. None of Viveks customer care informed us about delivery and inturn we need to call viveks personnel for delivery time. The products purchased not delivered on 10th June 2014  and we have not got any call from Vivek to inform about the same. Again I enquired and they told Stock was not available and it can be delivered next day 11th Jne 5 PM IST.They dont have any stock and they simply lieing to customer . I have waited till 7:30 PM next day and wondered why the product is not delivered and called back to Vivek personnel and he refused to deliver on 11th June and not responding to call nows. Viveks' is cheating with customers


Also staff can not speak in English and its difficult to communicate with these guys.Please stay from Viveks shop, had horrible experience with them.

Don't Buy AC from Viveks and Co, Chennai

I bought Samsung AC on 14 April 2014 and long wait its installation have been done on 18 Apr 2014 from Vivek's Tambaram.


Now My AC is not working properly, I have registered the service call after 2 days of struggle since on customer number no body was responding. Today Vivek's service person called me in the afternoon and told me that he will come today evening (no proper appointment before) and he came and told the issue was Gas Leakage due to improper installation of AC.


Also he told me that he will come tomorrow around 12 p.m. I do not how people who doesn't even know about Gas leakage issue have came and installed  the AC. Did Vivek's follow any process for service?


Service are not at all calling and fixing appointments and is there any process on how to make appointments with Customers? Customer Service Guys are not all responding properly for any queries?


Overall Don't buy ACs or any other products from these guys.

AC Purchase Installation and Problem Within a Week

I purchased a 1 tonne Blue Star AC from Vivek's, T Nagar, after a waiting period of two weeks I could not receive the AC.


It took another two weeks to install the AC in the room. from the next day water started oozes/sprinkled from the AC. We reported to the the main office, a technician attended and replied that he has communicated it to the main office.


I request everyone not to go to Vivek's. You will lose your money, patience, product quality, time and so on.

Last year I purchased AC from VIVEK'S and after 1 year I put AMC. Yesterday I received call from VIVEK'S for general service. Up to their service person attend my AC, it was working fine with good cooling. But after finished the general service, that VIVEK technician told gas leakage is there in AC so tomorrow(22.04.2014) they will come and collect the Compressor unit and fill the gas with free of cost.


That technician's name is V.VIGNESH (Mob: 9344058169). But today I received a call from VIVEKS service centre, Mylapore. They told VIVEKS will charge Rs.2, 475/- for gas filling. I complained up to Manager, but no proper response.


So kindly avoid shopping from VIVEKS & don't put any AMC from it. It's totally waste of money & time. and it is my kind advice. Below I mentioned email id's & contact numbers that I was complained.

A C Bazaar (Vivek & Co Ltd, T Nagar Chennai). We booked three Hitachi 1.5 ton split ACs from this store on 13/4/2014 and were assured delivery by 14/04/2014 evening and free installation by 15/04/02014 positively. While the installation guy has started calling us from 15th, the ACs are yet to be delivered.


On contacting today, 17/04/2014 over phone, the store gave an irresponsible reply that there was no stock and hence the delay. Very poor customer service.

Verrrry poooor!  Took AC for gas filling, didn't get it back for 4 weeks. When they came and fixed back it was not working. Complained that board issue (note- board was fine, when they took the machine first time for repair). Took another 2 weeks for fixing the board. Again fixing did not work (as expected). Again some crap reason, now they fixed after 2 days again. But some features are not working like oscillation etc. When asked they say the part is eroded. What is surprising is that all parts were functioning very good when they dismantled it. How is that it stopped working?


I found on your site that you are associate values of Vivekananda with your organization which is very disheartening to know.

I bought this washing machine 2 months back. I have pain point on the following factors:




  1. In the Panasonic site, it was mentioned that this product has Soak option & Foam wash, but I don't see both in this model. Also, the sales person in  Tambaram-West facility told this machine has all the features as advertised.




  2. When I load 7 KG, the drum does not rotate fast with 66 L of water level, but rotates well with 55 L of water level. The service center folks who came for the demo also were not able to clarify me on this.






The Quality of both the Vivek's and Panasonic are @$#$#@$!

Home serve Vivek's you are worst serve

Vivek's started a service for One stop called Home serve in case of emergency on electrical, plumbing etc. But these guys never turn up for months after we pay the money.


It is like a charity to Vivek's and co. I think they can provide a receipt for 80 cc charity claim.


I am fool who signed it for 1 year and they came the first time to collect the money.

Update.


Wow! This is great, Viveks has responded to the complaint in a very affirmative manner. They have changed the compressor with nil charges covered within warranty period and delivered on 14.Jun.2013. Only paid for Gas refilling.


With this episode, I am completely satisfied by Viveks service. Thank god, if I had hired a local AC mechanic I would have spent at least Rs 1000 for labor charges itself. Thanks Viveks.

I have purchased Voltas Split 1Ton AC from T.Nagar, Chennai showroom. I did not have any problem until 1 yr. Anyways I opted for AMC Homeserve for this year from Sep 2012- Sep2013. There were very prompt in periodic servicing. But at the same time, there were cases were they send inexperienced people for servicing.


The last service was on March 2013, when the guys came and had serviced, while I was away at office, after which trouble arose. AC did not provide enough chill. I thought it is due to summer, but it became evident that it did not perform and only consume electricity.

I called upon them on 23 May 2013. The service people(C.Ponseenraj, Prabakaran) came on 28th May 2013 and found that lock has been broken and immediately claimed that they had any role in it and just to be cautious forewarned of it. It was clear that the guys who came for last service had broken. Basically they did not know how to even lock.


Let's come to current story. They checked for at least 2 hrs, I should appreciate they were sincere. At last they told that there is leakage somewhere and had to be checked at workshop. They had collected AC on 3.Jun.2013. Since then I am calling them for almost two weeks now at least 15 calls to Call center and service center and only today 12.6.2013 they(Dinesh from Service center) mentioned compressor is leaking or not working properly. I do not know still how many days I have to wait. The problem is they do not give any target date of completion.


My two 1 yr old kids are already suffering from the summer and even after investing around 30k rs, we are not able to enjoy what we purchased.


The only reason why I opted for Vivek's is they offer there own service, unlike any other vendor were the OEM's provides the service. I had bad experience with OEM's. But it now seems Vivek's is also falling in the same trend.


Vivek's please provide an approximate target date while you collect the system. You cannot just have other's property for long periods. If that's the case, plese intimate that you have backlogs and provide option that you collect at a latter date. At least by that way, consumers will appreciate  your  genuineness

Additional Charge for 1 Ton Split Panasonic AC

I) I have purchased 1 Ton Panasonic Split AC  with all inclusive prices of Rs.24, 500/- for supply, installation & commissioning of the entire system.


ii) It was informed that additional charges shall only applicable if in case of external stand & copper pipes more than 4 m, which need to be paid at actual.


iii) To my surprise, I was informed during AC installation that external cabling between AC & stabilizer is not part of the AC and needs to be paid extra.


iv) This clearly indicates the openness that they have for customer's. Hence I've decided to do the installation on my own even by paying higher price.


Visitors are requested to do thorough validation before purchasing goods to avoid problem at later stage.


[RESOLVED] Viveks Service Center - Complaint

My problem has been resolved now, so I have changed the rating from 1 star to 4 stars. Thanks to Aarthi from Viveks customer service department, she was very sincere in resolving my problem and even though I did not post the job ID in the review below, she managed to track me down by looking into their service database using the technician's name which I had posted in the review. Aarthi I can't thank you enough, you did a great job. I also appreciate the fact that Viveks customer service reads through the complaints and reviews that customers post about them on the Internet and also tries to resolve them.


The new technicians who were assigned by Aarthi to come to my house did a great job in installing the new stabilizer. The names of the two technicians were Murugan and Anandaraj, I thank these two young technicians, they did a great job.


Thanks to MouthShut for letting me express my thoughts and reviews. Without MouthShut my problem would have never gotten resolved so quickly. MouthShut has given consumers tremendous power to express their views, reviews and complaints about products. I think MouthShut will improve consumer satisfaction.

I had a very bad experience with viveks service center and its technician. I called viveks service center to request for regular service for my window AC. The technician who came to the house cleaned all the dust in the AC and said that because of low voltage the cooling in the AC is very less, so he told me to change to double booster.


He told me to call him directly if I wanted to change to double booster. The next day I called him directly and said that I wanted to upgrade to double booster. He promptly came the next day with a Guardian double booster stabilizer and fixed it. The stablizer seemed to work fine when he fixed it, but soon after he left, the stabilizer stopped working. The stablizer is under warranty.


I called him the next day and told him that the stabilizer had stopped working, he said that he will come in the evening and look at it, but he never showed up in the evening and when I called him in the evening he did not pick up. The next morning I again called him, he promised me that he will come in the evening and fix it, but he never showed up and when I tried to call him in the evening he never picked up the call. I tried to repeatedly call him several times, but he never picked up my calls.


The 3rd day I called up Viveks service center directly and told the representative about the entire thing, the rep told me that I need to pay Rs.450 for them to come and look at it. I told the rep that I had warranty and asked why do I need to pay for a faulty stabilizer which is under warranty. The rep told me that she can't do anything and told me to contact Guardian dealers directly and gave me the number.


I had called up the Guardian dealer now and they are sending a technician tomorrow to get my stabilizer checked and if faulty it will be replaced.


Viveks is only good at milking money from customers and once they have sold the product they don't care about you. Because of them now we have to sleep without AC and you know how hot Chennai is.
