Please be very cautious with this branch as they strongly push you to buy the phone which they will get good commission. I faced a very bad experience in this branch. Staff are not courteous, and talk with bad manners in the phone.

If you face any problem in the phone. then they will show you a different face and you get irritated and felt why you buy this phone from this branch

Very good Sales people, and not customer care oriented. sell the defective phone and got escaped after a year. the just cross their hands and say cooly. sir. warranty period is over so you have to pay. though they know very well that the phone is a manufacturing defect.

Why I am telling this I am being treated so badly though they are not manufacturers but their responsibility is over once the sale is over.

Never ever go with Univercell. I have made an online shopping for Xperia worth 23K.

They have delivered a product in which the seal has broken and the packet also was totally damaged.

When I wrote a mail, they said that when they sent it was sealed, it might happened from the courier team.

(But it cant believe and it will not happen so.)

And told that if any problem in the phone in future please contact sony service center. What a responsibility!

We don't have other go since we have paid the whole amount online. Luckily its working now. But god only knows whether this has a defective one or a second quality one. Since I received phone in open condition

I have bought one Mobile. Made the payment but they have replied that Stock exhausted. But the same mobile they are selling on their site at a higher price. Very bad trade practice. Stay away from them. I have not received the refund also. God knows what will happen to my money. You can try their customer care number. You will never be able to reach them.

I have bought mobile phones from univercell for more than 6 years. They have a good collection of models. I have also asked the staff to demonstrate certain features of a mobile model I have chosen and they obliged.

The prices are also good. Generally they provide good offers during Aadi sale and New year. When we ask for certain specific features, the staff provide us with alternative brands so that we can select the one we are comfortable with.

Recently we were even offered a friendly EMI option based on the Credit card we used.

Bought a Samsung battery power pack for Rs. 4000 whereas on Flipkart they are giving it at 3300. They charged me Rs 700 extra. My mistake, didn't research it online and ended up paying more. Never buy from Univercell. They charge very high. I know, there are some costs associated with maintaining a physical shop, compared to online shop, but pricing won't be too difference per product. Just started using the product, hope it works fine.

First point-

Till billing they will act as if they are your slaves, once billing is done then they will behave differently

before billing they will promise everything and after billing they will act as if you are bugging them.

They promised me theft insurance free. During billing they didn't put that which, I too didn't check. I went exactly after 4 days. They didn't agree that they told me to put insurance and now even if I pay 250 rs they don't give theft insurance.

Seriously. I pray to God to get that cr*p store to shut down immediately.

Univercell showroom tell lies, that they will give offers but they cheat a lot. Please don't believe whatever they say. I got 2 mobiles from this showroom but 1 got repaired in 6 months and another 1, just in 1 month.

So dont ever believe Univercell showroom but they talk as they were our friend, its just a polish to buy their products.

I had purchased a mobile set from Vijayanagar, Bangalore store.

They had given an insurance policy stating that it covers theft risk also. Unfortunately my mobile was stolen and I applied for insurance amount from the company with all document including police complaint to their Chennai office.

The insurance office rejected the offer promptly. but no information was given. I was told about it only when I inquired about it. The staff at the insurance were rude and not caring for our anxiety.

I think this insurance policy is bogus and they just use it to push their product.

Regarding the service of UniverCell, the less said the better.

Last year on 22/Apr/2013 I purchased Rage Mobile in UNIVERCELL which is situated in my town (Gadag, Karnataka) which costs 2050 Rs. But till today even once I have not seen that mobile switched on.

When I purchased that mobile, that day only it was not working, so I had given it in UNIVERCELL. But till today I have not got that mobile back. Now UNIVERCELL people are saying that the RAGE company has been closed and if you want we will repay your half money back. And we cannot do anything to sort it out.

Then I called Rage Head Office in Delhi. They told me that company is doing well and I checked it with my mobile IMEI number IN RAGE service center. The UNIVERCELL people said that they have not got this mobile for repair. So I'm not at all understanding what to do for it.

So please do not buy anything in UNIVERCELL. They will not provide you a good service.

I don't understand, how come every other electronic gadget which stops working has a motherboard problem?

I bought a HTC One V from Univercell showroom a year hand half back for 19000/-. Now, it has stopped working completely. No light displayed, unable to start.

I took it to the Velachery show room and they say it has a motherboard problem which would need 8000/- to repair. Note: Current price of  HTC One V comes is 11000/-

Come on, we are engineers and have studied electronics very well. Don't fool your customer. You will only reap short benefits but suffer very badly in the long run.

Please take my word for it , never go to univercell for buying mobiles, most of them are mobiles with defects that too never buy the mobile from the online store, worst experience.first of all i bought a mobile (nokia c203)from them 1 year back.after two months i faced a problem with my mobile, so i gave it to them for service, they said that it would take 10 days , after 10 days they said that my mobile was burnt due to an accident that occurred at their service centre , and so i was made to wait for more than 3 months until i got a refund, which is not a full refund but it was a 60% discount voucher on another mobile of the same range of price(can you believe it !only 60 % for no fault of mine)as iam a fool i still accepted that discount instead of filing a case on them, and i bought a micromax a25 smarty from them(along with insurance).

After 2 months, my cell phone was stolen and i went to claim my insurance money and the gave a phone number for me to contact , and that insurance guy was a very arrogant fellow he did not even bother to answer my questions correctly and as a matter of fact i never got any insurance.

And without knowing all these details, it seems that my cousin ordered the same brand of mobile online through univercell online store and he had made the same grave mistake that i made.the required model of mobile was in stock and it was ordered on 28-06-2013 and after two days of ordering the mobile it seems that he has got a message saying that the mobile will be delivered on 05-07-2013

(actually the mobile must be delivered within 7 days) which was the seventh day but the stipulated day has passed and he still did not get the mobile, hence he surfed the internet and found out 4 online inquiry numbers and all the four were switched off or not reachable, so he contacted the showroom to asked about the status of his purchase and just because their company got the money before hand itself , their employees after knowing this detail , started to use abusive language to my cousin and when my cousin shouted back at them and asked them any other contact number for online purchase they gave the number which is 100 and said that my cousin should continue the matter with the police.

They don`t have respect for the customers after they have lost their money. Such arrogant employees

Bad reception to customer. They don't hear your likes & simply push whatever available. Offers are big cheating & don't ever go for any offer. All they have is waste models. Always in hurry to sell any model without hearing what we want. Over intelligent salesmen.

Insurance is a waste of Rs. 300 . Don't ever opt for it.

Absolutely horrendous service, I should have first seen these reviews, then wud not have done the mistake of going to Univercell.  The service is HORRENDOUS, these people need to be taught BASIC customer service.  Some of the points:

-Employees were busy surfing or playing with the demo phones,

• they are in a hurry to make the bill and sell off the product

• In between answering our questions, manager is busy taking calls and we are made to wait till the manager finishes his'call', then he goes off to attend some other customer.

An yr ago I went to one these stores in Chennai with my brother and mom to inquire about the cost and specs of some of the phones. To be frank, I would have asked some of the phone which were released within just 6 months to 1 yr and the answer from them was "We don't have, we don't have". If they don't have many number of phones, then y r they running the shop for? Shut down and run away. Idiotic store.

For an instance. Check their website and put a search for mobiles costing between 20000 and 30000, u will get at least 100 phone in the search result, in which at least 80 phone will be out of stock. And if we call or go there and ask, they simple say "Sorry the phone doesn't come".

If the phone doesn't come anymore, then y its put up in the website..! Also the cost of the phone are pretty costly. 4 yrs ago, I bought a N70 music and it costed me 11000   including the head set. When I inquired the Univercell, they said, N70 cost 12K just for the phone(Without heat set). Cheaters.

Again 3 months ago I visited their Pheonix mall showroom to inquire about the Nokia Lumia 1020, They quoted the pricing as Rs.53000. So I left and thought to buy the phone sometime later. So I again visited the store 3 week back and inquired about the same lumia 1020. And surprisingly they quoted the price as Rs.42700!  I was very happy and shocked for hearing such a price down. So I decided the buy the phone very next week.

So an week back I thought to visited their main univercell showroom located at Alwarpet, to check the price is correct and buy from them!  So I went there with my mom and brother.

So I entered the showroom and here is the conversation at univercell Alwarpet -

Univercell(welcome lady) - "Welcome sir, wat wud u like to see."

Me - "Lumia 1020."

Univercell Lady - "There u go sir."

She transferred to an idiot)

Idiot - "Yes sir, wat do u want to know.(That was the only "Sir" I heard)"

Me - "Can I have an Lumia 1020 handset to check hands-on."

Idiot - "No, we dont have one on stock."

Me - "Ok, wats the price of 1020?"

(he went to the information counter, got info and replied)

Idiot - " Its 47700."

Me - "Wat the hell. how come the Pheonix mall showroom is selling for 42.7K and u r for 47.7K(5K difference)!  I inquired them this a week ago.! "

Idiot(foolish reply) - " Look, u r rit. but the price has risen in a week. a week ago it was Rs, 42700 and now it is 47700. "

Me - "thank you and I will inquire from Pheonix univercell again"

Idiot - Ok sure, walk away please(Seri Ponga, Poi kelunga)

(I guess, he thout, I was just there for inquiry and dont have money, becoz the way I was simply dressed. But as I walked out and go into my Elantra Sedan, those two idiots too wer walking out and they just starred at me in guilty!)

So I went back to Pheonix mall and asked the Univercell showroon guy there again like -

Me - "Hey hi, do u remember me!"

Univercell guy - "Yes sir I remember u. Lumia 1020 rit!"

Me - "Yes, I am here to buy that now. Rs.43000 Rit!"

Univercell - "Rit sir. Wait for a moment, I will check for the stock".

(So he checked for the stock and pricing ofcourse! And replied)

Univercell - "Sorry sir, The stock is no there for any color and the price is Rs.47300!"

(I got shocked about pricing again and asked him)

Me - "47300? wat the hell.  That day u told like 43k!"

Univercell idiot - " No sir, I told the pricing of Lumia 1520 "

I didt say I word, and walked off.

So Wat is univercell, is as follows -

1) Very Rude staff. I wud hav visited the store atleast more than 10 times and for all those 10 times the Staff wer very rude. Especially The Alwarpet Showroom.

2) The attenders/showroom guys dont keep updated info. they give the pricing randomly wat comes from their mouth. Wat ever they I never true.

3) They deal every single customer with the looks. A Rich customer or beautiful women, They r treated with at the most care. And all other customer who show simplicity, they deal differently.

I saw this discrimination myself.   Here how it is -

Why do u think the Pheonix mall Univercell remembers me and respects me!  Here is the reason.  A Yr ago I visited the same store, to inquire about Nokia pure view 808 and Galaxy S4. I walked in in simple clothing(including my mom and bro who wer too simply dressed).  NO ONE, even came close to me to respond. No one.  So I was roaming here and there to view different phone availability and finally called an attender who was chatting with another and asked him. And he said, I dont know about Pure view, Galaxy costs around 45k.

Then when I entered ther showroom 3 months back(Just I said b4), I walked in with my Canon 60D semi pro DSLR hung on my shoulder.   U know, almost all guys over there, just started looking at me, and two idiots ran to me and asked "yes sir, wat wud u like to know".  Even wen I was inquiring about the stock to them, the beautiful store manager(a lady) walked to me and suggested me to buy Lumia 1520!.

This is the current world with univercell.

4) They dont keep all phone(currently available in market) in Stock.

Now I have decided to buy the Lumia

Beware.  Dont go for univercell.  They Cheaters.  Inquire a lot before u go there. Otherwise the those idiots will make u fool.

This review is about https://univercell.in website, the experience while purchasing products on it and their customer service. I wanted to purchase Micromax A116 Canvas HD mobile phone on https://univercell.in website as it was available only on 2 websites(the other one was https://infibeam.com. Univercell was offereing the mobile at 13, 999 and infibeam at 14, 500). This particular model is in a huge demand and I was pretty much excited about buying it.

On March 30, 2013 (Saturday) at around 2pm in the afternoon I opened the https://univercell.in website and put a buy order for Micromax A116 canvas HD mobile phone. In the payment page I entered my ICICI bank credit card details for the full payment. Once I entered the details along with my visa secure code and pressed confirm, the website hanged for around 5 minutes. But within few seconds of pressing the 'confirm' I got an SMS on my mobile from ICICI bank saying that I have been charged Rs.13999.

After around 5 minutes, the https://univercell.in website came back and I was shocked to see that the transaction has failed. And the reason given was decline from the Bank. I even got an e-mail from univercell.in that the purchase was made, but the status was shown as rejected as below:

I immediately tried to call the Univercell customer care no:  044 - 42912345, but after some IVR information it always kept saying "the station you are calling is not available". I kept on trying the same number multiple times, but in vain. Then I found the support number(Tel :+91-8056012234

Email : support@univercell.in) in the mail that I had received from them. I even tried to call that number, but the number was never reachable. I mailed them about the issue.

I was under the impression that since the order is rejected, the vendor (Univercell) will not go for claiming the amount on my credit card from the ICICI bank. On 1st April 2013(Monday) when I checked my icici credit card statement online,  to my horror  they had gone ahead and claimed that amount on March 31 2013(that was Sunday, but still they claimed that amount but did not care to respond to my e-mail).

I immediately called the ICICI customer care and had to raise the dispute against univercell. Even today, I am not able to reach their customer care number. It was a big blunder buying something on https://univercell.in website. Univercell. These are some rogue people and should be put behind the bars for cheating innocent citizens.

I am crossing my fingers and waiting for the refund of the payment that I have made. Pray for me guys to get out of this horrible mess called as UNIVERCELL.

I am prabhakaran, I had brought a new mobile in univercell mobile shop in besant nagar. When I visit showroom they said mobile price Rs -1850/- and charged me same amount, then only I came to know that mobile price only Rs -1400/- and MPR also Rs-1709/- only.

Then I directly visited showroom and asked them what are the charges included, but still I am not get valid details. Infect there is no one know the charges details. They gave me  Univercell Tax invoice copy ( Hand writing copy) that invoice  no value added tax details and no terms and conditions.

They cheated me.

Worst experience twice, day before yesterday(30th Jan 2013) I purchased one Samsung galaxy y mobile. I was happy, but next day same shop universal rep called me to bring in the mobile because of IEMI number mismatch. After that I got weird answers from them then I got replacement. scrathcard: she went inside the shop and putted the scrath card. I am little worried that they changed the battery. When I raised my voice another rep called me (his name is Kiran) and he told that he call police that I am harassing lady employee.

This happened in Mahalaxmi layout universal shop (Bangalore). Guys if you want to purchase new mobile with ambition pls do not purchase in any of the Universal shops. They don't serve customers rather they cheat and loot customers. Shame on them.
