Today I watch kabir singh movie . movie is not interested not a proper story .this movie is waste of money. sahid kapur role play in this movie. movie is end in short duration of time. but I vould no expect that sahid kapur role play in this type of story . song of this movie is so boring. one thing I feel so angry that this film is not real story but it is imaginary story. not any motive in this movie when I watch this movie I feel so boring. my 230 rupees are waste . I want to say please not watch this movie if you watch this movie. your money also waste in watching kabir singh.

This movie is totally worth your time and money. If you want to experience and learn lessons from the horrifying situation of a drug addict region and prevent our present & future being, you probably should not miss it.

Most importantly, it reveals a willingness to go over to the dark side and show what drugs can do. They can ruin. They can kill. They can wish you were not alive.

Shahid Kapoor has done exceptionally well. Well, Alia was also not that far away.! Diljit's soulful song and acting was just another feather to the cap. In a nutshell, an absolute watch

This movie I think had made some of the persons to not get addicted with this bloddy things. This type of movies should be made which tells the present condition of that single place. Udta punjab is very real story.shahid kapoor is my favourite actor and now udta punjab is my list of favourites.i am from punjab and I watch around of my city there are 6 deaths last two year and reason is over dose of drugs.this movie story like real punjab . but some scene is wrong like using bad language but its entertain me . Daljit dosanjh role also too good his acting is very real and good work on his debut in bollywood film industry.Kareena kapoor role is very decent .She's acting skill unbeleaveble and her role in this film is a nurse and she done too good her job.Its not a family movie but its teenagers movie and adult.you did not watch this movie with your parents although you watched this with your friends.story are awesome and script was totaly outstanding like very cool.Udta punjab like real story on punjab.i suggest for this movie to those people this movie totaly awesome .you should watch this movie and I bet u will entertain and feel good . so thank you.

I really enjoyed how the film was put together. The script was really solid. The way that this was handled where you see these characters travel where they start is completely different from where they end up. I think Shahid Kapoor's acting was really top notch. I enjoyed him thoroughly.

Alia Bhatt's acting was also awesome. She was the perfect actress for this particular role. The is amazing nd the story is really believable.

This is one of my favourite movies.shahid is my best actor and its performance in the movie is really very awesome and the alia performance is realling standable. the more about this movie is my favourate diljit dosanjh and his song ik kudi which is always on my playlist and I listen it everyday . as I have a great taste in music,this movie's music director works very good in the audio .the main thing is this movie is on drug abuse which is a better part of our youth to learn from it

A very very Important Topic is described to its limits in this film. Udta punjab is a must watch movie as the film shows how the young generation is influenced in Drugs and sex. The director Abhishek chaubey had casted a perfect actors and actresses for Udta Punjab. A crime drama is decorated such a way that you will flow with the film till end. Yes it is uncomfortable to watch the reality of todays world but it mixes the dark humor to a tale about the dirty drug and political nexus. It has a positive antidrug message with it which will help the young generation a lot. Shahid kapoor the lead Actor had acted to his best characterising the rockstar life. And alia bhatt and kareena done their best supporting roles. You should watch atleast once what is reality today.

Plot: Tejinder Tommy Singh ( Shahid Kapoor) , also known as Gabru among his fans, is a 26-year old Punjabi musician who lives a luxurious lifestyle assisted by his successful music career. Together with ostentatious crew that is led by Tayaji ( Satish Kaushik) and cousin Jassi ( Suhail Nayyar) , he indulges in uncontrolled consumption of cocaine. Tommy, is popular for his adrenaline-pumping songs that both were written with the help of and are about intoxication. Though, Tommy has no qualms about his songs glorifying violence and drug-addiction. However, his frequent bouts of drug-snorting cost him his contract and lands him in jail. In prison, he meets two of his die-hard fans who remark how Tommy's lifestyle had 'inspired' theirs. Realizing that his songs have adversely and negatively affected teenagers, Tommy decides to change his ways upon release. A few days later, Tommy engages in an altercation with Tayaji and accidentally shoots him, injuring his ear. This causes Tayaji to send Tommy and his crew to a farmhouse so that he can prepare for an upcoming concert.

Working on a farm is an unnamed Bihari migrant ( Alia Bhatt) , frequently called Bauria by a co-worker in the fields, whose dreams of playing national level hockey for the country were shattered so she came to Punjab to work as a labourer. Bauria works as a farmworker for a local landlord who uses agriculture as a front for drug peddling. One night, while roaming around in the farm, she finds a packet. Upon tearing open its contents and tasting it, she realizes that it is some kind of drug, and hence, resolves to sell it. Her search for a potential buyer lands her in great trouble as she is chased and captured by a gang of drug peddlers. They forcibly keep Bauria at their place where she is sexually and physically abused, given drugs and prostituted to several men including police officers from the local police force. Some weeks later, Bauria manages to escape from the house.

In this neighboring town also lives Preet Sahni ( Kareena Kapoor) , a doctor and activist who runs a rehabilitation center. Sartaj Singh ( Diljit Dosanjh) is a class-two policeman attached to the town's station who knows about the smuggling of drugs his seniors are allowing on a large scale. But when it affects his family, his brother, Balli ( Prabhjyot Singh) , overdoses on Chaand ( a locally-made drug) and is brought to Preet's clinic, he realizes the grave situation. She educates Sartaj about the drug problem and partly accuses him for his brother's state. Together, they decide to find the root cause of the problem.

Appearing before his audience in the concert, instead of singing, Tommy starts preaching. Infuriated by his speech about how one should lead his/her life, his fans try to admonish him, and start throwing bottles at him. Tommy gets angry and urinates in front of the crowd. Making a run out of the concert to save himself from the crowd's angst, Tommy goes and hides inside a dilapidated structure. There he meets Bauria and together they start sharing their stories. However, the next day, Bauria is recaptured by the same gang who had kept her imprisoned. Tommy sets out to find her after realising his true feelings for her.

Preet has been working in Punjab actively with drug abuse survivors and their families. She runs her own clinic in the area where she operates a residential rehab center. With help from a reformed Sartaj who discovers that his own brother is hooked to a locally-made drug, manages to find that the antagonist behind the drug problem in Punjab is an elderly man called Vikrant who has flourished with the support of MP Maninder Brar. Sartaj and Preeti go to extreme measures to collect evidence against the Parliamentarian and put together a report to be sent to the state's Election Commission to thwart Brar's campaign for another term in power. Sartaj develops feelings for her and asks her out which she reciprocates willingly.

The background music was composed by Benedict Taylor & Naren Chandavarkar. The music rights are acquired by Zee Music Company.

The first song Chitta Ve was released on 4 May 2016.wo more Singles Da Da Dasse and Ik Kudi were released before the Release of Final soundtrack. The Complete Soundtrack consisting of 7 songs was released on 18 May 2016.

A must watch crime drama directed by Abhishek Chaubey which is hard hitting and uncomfortable to watch, and mixes dark humor to a tale about the dirty drug and political nexus in Punjab.

The movie is a wakeup call, an important film and a mighty impressive one at that, carrying a loud antidrug message.

Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor done their best.

Benedict Taylor's BGM was amazing and Rajeev Ravi's cinematography is at top notch.

I am feeling proud that someone thought to make this kind of movie, which seriously shows what punjab is now. I am not feeling proud for what punjab is, but sure m proud of the team who decides to show it present identity and also the team who suffers from censor board's decisions and Hon'ble High Court decisions and now fighting with the unstoppable pirecy. Feeling very shameful for this person who pirated the copy before release shame on you man. You spoil the whole hard work of this team. But I watched this in theater and seriously different movie and awesome script. I wish it may be inspirational for the addicted of Punjab and other states. The movie is based on drug abuse and it is first of its kind in bollywood.Definately a must watch movie for youth.Although a lot of abusive language has been used in movie but is present only as per script demand.All actors have performed very well but shahid kapoor acting is marvellous.Alia bhatt have also done a great job.Songs are just a compliment to the awesome story of the movie.Ik kuddi is the best song.Cinematography is awesome.More movies like the need to be made.

Watched the movie just for time pass, like I was not too eager to watch the movie at first, but the movie is good a must watch movie.

the movie shows the adverse effects of drugs on the peoples of punjab, and also on a famous singer which is played by shahid kapoor.

like the way the movie goes on, daljeet he police man realises the situation when his own brother becomes addicted to the drugs and starts fighting. alia bhat gets trapped in the web trying to make some money, between all these conditions love between the couples happen, the turning point in the movie was the killin of kareena.

so over all a must watch movie.

First of all I want to let you know why did I watch this movie?

Well because I personally feels, this time shahid kapoor has done a great job and alia bhatt too even they both can easily make a love story but they did such kind of movie so this is a great things happened in bollywood.

This movie is basically based on the youth of punjab who are badly glued to the drugs, this film is just showing how people of punjab deals in drugs.

while shahid kapoor is playing a cool rockstar gabru and alia bhatt as a village girl who needs money and all .

Ths movie has gone through many difficulties before relasing because of their content, central board of film certificate demanded 80 cuts in the movie and they are wanted to delete the word Punjab from the entire movie but all the movie makers like anurag kayshap, mahesh bhatt and mukesh bhatt they protest against such demand by the CBFC.

After that all the movie makers and cast of udta punjab has filled a suit against CBFC in high court, and eventually high court declared that movie shall be released on the date fixed by the movie makers without any single cut, and high court also confirmed that CBFC has only the power to give certification not to censored the movie.

and finally I watched the movie that was awesome .this is my 1st review apologies if said anything wrong .

What a movie? A different type of movie  I ever seen.Within its two-and-a-half hours running time, the film takes swift turns from one emotion to another;

Sahid kapoor acting was really mind blowing and his madness was stupendous fantastic.

So much entertaining movie.

I had seen this movie because I Lu sahid acting.

I don't want to describe all those things I feel because I want that u have to enjoy and feel the feelings of the movie.

In movie their is shown that most of punjab is facing the problem of drug additcte. It was not only the problem of punjab but was problem of india.

I watch this film because in this film my favourite actor shahid kapoor and my favourite actress Alia bhat is doing work.

the casting is very bad as various wrong wrong words are used in this film as I feel ashamed when I saw this film. The film is on drug addiction but the way to explain it is very wrong as various wrong words are used to explain and the role of Alia bhat is also too bad,

the shahid kapoor role is also very bad as the addicted boy which spoils the whole new generation. Its not the family picture and not to be seen under 18 . but there is no such ristrictions like that. so worst with wrong words but the story is GOOD only.

No the moviewas not able me to stick the screen as whole movie is full of wrong words from which I felt very ashemed. and saw here and there to escape.
