I bought bajaj pulsar in march this year. This is a BS4 bike. This is the beat bike I have ever dreamed of according to my budget. Average is pretty good around 42-44. Really good pick up fast sporty look keeps it different from the other bikes a normal person can afford. I will suggest the buyers to go with bajaj pulsar 180.

A Review On The Bajaj Avenger 220cc DTSi
Jul 01, 2016 08:40 AM 8751 Views

Bajaj Avenger 220cc DTSI or the name I've given my Avenger “The Azure Stallion” truly justifies its label line “Feels like God”, it's seriously a divine cruiser. Even the advertisement for that Bajaj Avenger 220cc DTSI transmits shivers down your spine. It gives an immediate feeling of freedom and gist of letting go all of the troubles and pressures of existence.

I have personally seen the advertisement Xellion times or maybe more. It has grown and groomed since its inception on the highway. It has reframed its name in addition to its engine, from Eliminator to Avenger as well as from 180cc to 200cc to finally the current a 220cc engine. If you prefer Cruising, Power, Speed, Pleasure, Interest, Style, Confidence, Comfort then the Bajaj Avenger is the kind of Bike. The USP of the bike is its ease and comfort of riding.

Just to provide you with a example, I never had ridden a bike before during my life. All of a sudden I acquired this irking bone in my personal body for biking and using on highways for miles as well as miles. After going through a few of the bikes my instincts froze about the Bajaj Avenger 220cc DTSi. I walked into the showroom and presented a machine I never knew how to deal with.

I don’t know was this me riding the bike or even the bike giving me the ride. Whatever it was I cruised it in the showroom in Chandigarh directly in order to Gurgaon covering a distance associated with 290 kilometers. Now this explains everything, a person who doesn’t understand how to even ride a bike brought home a fresh Avenger, this justifies my statement concerning the USP of the bike.

The riding posture from the bike makes you feel just like a king on his throne. Its bucket seat for the rider has dual foam density; it’s just like a bean bag on wheels. Better still is the seat for the actual pillion rider. Its got the best dimensions with a perfect back again rest.

Now technically the bike has a 4 Stroke, single canister, DTS-i, air cooled with essential oil cooler. Its piston gives the displacement of 219. 89 to become accurate. It pumps out the maximum power(ps@rpm) of 19. 03@8400 such as a maximum torque(Nm @ rpm) associated with 17. 5@7000. All this gives peak riding pleasure on the road. Trust me having completed 10000 kms on my 115 days aged Avenger, truly speaks about the addicting pleasure it gives while riding it about the long straight black tar. “It’s Born To become Wild”. The Avenger can take you to definitely speeds upto 130 kilometers each hour but that’s like really worrying out your engine. As its a significant racket when at that pace. Riding at 110 kilometers each hour is smooth, it glides only at that speed or literally cruises in between 100kmph and 110kmph, and it’s usually the most popular.

Talking about its confidence the Avenger comes with no kickstart, the electric start never has failed during my bike even in the coldest from the regions like the khardungla move, world’s highest motorable road whilst snowing. It has got the DC ignition system. It really starts easily because of low start RPM as well as the cold startability is flawless. It's powered with a battery associated with 12V, 9Ah. The head lamp is powered at 60/55W along with a horn of 12 V, thirty W, they could have powered the horn a bit more. Its suspension is telescopic within the front and Hydraulic in the trunk, superbly smooth on the roughest from the terrains. The bike brakes are something which they can work upon. 260mm dia Disk brakes are installed within the front which is perfect no problem, but the rear is a drum brake having a 130mm dia, not good sufficient. I personally could have obtained smashed into something wasn’t for that maneuverability of the bike. The rear brakes might have been disk brakes as braking from 130kmph to 0kmph may take ages to stop the bicycle.

It is equipped unidirectional pipe tyres- 90/90 x 17” within the front

and 13/90 x 15” within the rear. Its rear wheel base is 1475 mm and it has a ground clearance of 169mm really low though but gives an incredible feeling. All this gives this a kerb weight of 154. 5 kilos.

The Avenger carries upon it an extremely high style quotient, the chrome plating provides flamboyant silver look with a beautifully sculpted tank for any special retro feel and which low-slung cruiser look really can make the style statement and makes all of the heads turn to you. On the Tank there's a low battery indicator, a high beam indicator and indication for that indicators. Also a good looking fuel gauge and all of this is set on a chromed toned form. I give it the 9 on 10 in it's styling. One mark deducted as a few of the welding joints are not carried out neatly.

All good things come in a cost, same is the situation here if you're worried about the mileage of the bike, and you might not really digest the ride. Riding at nominal speeds gives you typically 35kmpl in city and 40kmpl on the road. Even though the digital double spark ignition technology gives good power and great pick up and negligible emissions, improving fuel efficiency to some great extent Personally I in no way ride at nominal speeds hence when I told you I ride in between 100kph and 110kmph, and only at that speed the mileage will drop right down to 30 kmpl. It has a fuel container capacity of 14 liters and may easily take you 400 kilometers on the full tank. The reserve tank includes a capacity of 2 liters, hence provides you with a comfortable warning for the actual refueling.

All said and done the best question is how much will it cost. I must say the Baja Avenger may be the cheapest cruiser in the Indian native market and I seriously as well as seriously say that it’s worth it and an excellent value for its cost. A fresh Avenger on road will set you back around 85000/-. Financing is also no problem as the Bajaj guys tend to be quick with their finance schemes and you will get a bike out from the showroom with 45% financing within about 3 hours.

Yamaha RX 100 (83")
Dec 10, 2011 12:59 PM 34133 Views

I have been a bike lover since school time, I own.

1 - YAMAHA-RX-100(83" MODEL)

2- BAJAJ PULSAR 150

3-BAJAJ AVENGER 180

4-YAMAHA FZS

5-KARIZMA ZMR

So I have experience in almost every segment but the joy I had riding my rx100, I don't think any other bike I own or any other bike in market or upcoming model's will give me that satisfaction but for long rides, I prefer avenger, I have travelled from bangalore to ahmedabad(around 1500 km)and not even single time it bothered me for any thing. I really love my bikes.

This bike is truly facinating.Stands on its true CALIBER for performance and comfort along with excellent milage.

The bike has an complete mixture of all the three qualities.

Definately not for

those who wants to burn the road(and so petrol as compliment).Gifted with large seat makes much space for two(and with your girl friend along then three).

Gives an max speed of 90 kmph along with mileage of around 67 kmpl.It is also having facinating looks and being an product of BAJAJ low on maintaince. On an all an extremlly recomandable bike for those who want an good stable bike that fits easy on pockets along with safety.

Apache rtr 160 fi
Nov 29, 2009 12:22 PM 39880 Views

I own an apache rtr i60 fi yellow colour bought it on Agust 7 2008 and I ve drive 18000+ kilometers on this bike.So I  have decided that this is the precise time for me to give my review

I was only considering two bike the apache and xtreame  I did not prefer pulsar as there are too many of them on road, and my friend already had a Unicorn the bike was a good bike in the executive category but for a college student I needed something more faster

I test drove both the bike bike the Apache and the Xteme

Apache the minute I sat on the bike and pushed the start button immediately my heart started roaring for this bike

I went in for the Apache and I am living, breathing.First to tell you there is no other bike which is sound engineered like this one, the pick up that it generates is superb I can easily touch 115km in it with absolutely no trouble. It gives me a decent mileage of 42 to 44 in the city and goes up to 48 on long rides

the only problem for the bike is its vibrations but its just ok manageable but apart from that

the pillion seat is not comfortable for your mother its a bit uncomfortable for them because its a small area and the height of the seat is high which wound make them feel uncomfortable

overall its a youth bike, specifically designed for them, it has a high flikability its handling is one of the best

the pros cons

vibrations

not good for tall guys because the bike is short

My top bikes
Oct 16, 2009 04:27 PM 39449 Views

Starting at the top the Yamaha FJ1200 a pleasure to ride about on.  It's lovely four cylinder engine is very smooth and reliable can fall over and not get damaged. 162mph came up on the speedo.

Second place on my list goes to the Yamaha XJ600 a 1992 model silver is the best colour for the bike. It has exciting performance from a bullet proof four cylinder engine. It is a comfortable bike can go 120. wear through brake pads and tyres very quickly. The front brake stopped working on mine as well. It can also be driven around the Isle of Man TT at an average of 100mph in the right hands.

Kawasaki Gpx750 R expensive to run and restricted to 100mph. Suzuki GSX750Es it accelerated to 135 up hill in half a mile or so and had excellent road handling. Mine did 18000 miles but was worn out as it needed new tyres brake pads etc the electrics are fragile as the alternator, rectifier etc can play up.

1. Boxer: Reliable than Splendor and comparable with original Hero Honda imported CD series. Bajaj's confident transistion from scooter to bike is attributed to Boxer, a realiable marvel from Kawasaki. People reposed faith in Bajaj brand due to the quality and reliability of Boxer.

2. Ambition135: Power or Economy at the twist of right hand, this bike had best Engine mechanicals based on CBZ and Karizma platform. A well maintained 5 year old Ambi can put present lot of brand new 125cc bikes to shame in fuel economy.

3. Caliber115: An awesome bike from Kawasaki/Bajaj, very reliable and very fuel efficient. Truely longtermer.

4. Suzuki Fiero: The best sprinter of yesteryears, could do mind blowing long endurance runs, very reliable and high quality bike from Suzuki.

5. CBZ: It was Hero Honda which brought in this mini performance bike after the death of 2S bike production, it was old P180 which competed with CBZ on street for supremacy not even P150. It is common to see 6-9 year old bikes zipping city streets even today. With TPFC, this bike was a bull on steroids.

6. Wind125: Last bike from Kawasaki-Bajaj tie-up, fantastic bike with Ktec engine, and high value for money. Bajaj decided to export this than selling locally.

7. Pulsar Classic: The engine of Pulsar classic was very good, the single spark bike is far more reliable than present day DTSi. Ergonomics is worst. But highly reliable engine and fuel efficient too. It was b'cos of the classic, Bajaj made some name and fame.

Every bike had it's own features and strength, every bike listed above was long term bike with good reliability and quality. If I were to choose THREE bikes out of the above marvels I would choose with difficulty the following,

*3. Caliber 115

  1. Ambition 135

  2. Suzuki Fiero*
