I traveled from Tirupathi to Hyderabad on Nov6th. in Trujet Seat number 9F.
To my bad luck my seat will not stay in upright position. passenger in the back requested change of seat, as you know in covid time the airplane is only half filled. Cabin crew said boarding is still going on please wait. I told the passenger in the back don't worry I will not lean back until you change. To my surprise the seat before me also in same condition. at this moment I was smiling thinking about my odds.
I requested cabin crew after boarding is completed mam can I change to the adjacent seat. she said no. I was thinking ok its just 1 hour flight lets adjust.
here comes the surprise, one of the passenger brought a cabin luggage which don't fit in overhead compartment. the same cabin crew, brought the bag and placed it in the empty seat next to me and assured the person owns the luggage its here and its fine. I said mam its not fine. it has 2 problems I am sitting next to a luggage around 16 kgs with out any support in a plane about to take off. also there is a reason in covid times why plane is half empty(social distancing).
she just ignored me, I waited and request her again saying mam could you please move it. she just ignored me again. this happened for couple of times. I asked her at least you could have buckled the seat belt on it.
there is a reason why smoking is not allowed in airplane right, same is true for bringing a bomb. it might hurt someone or potentially cause crash. placing 15-20 kgs bag with out any support is also equally dangerous, it might seriously injure some one.
after landing I asked the crew, mam why did you do that, she said it is not fitting in the overhead locker. I said if so why did you forced me to take responsibility to it. I think at this moment I am sure, she understood nothing.
I don't know where is the problem, is it in Trujet training or in our indian mind set of "lets adjust its just 1 hour". everything looks fine until that one bad incident, mistake of one crew member could potentially cost lives.
