After sales service
Sep 23, 2019 11:51 PM5119 Views (via Mobile)

Have sent many emails and tried many calls and fortunately someone answered and they told me AMC is no longer available in Turkey and there is no care after sales is being provided. They also added that they cannot get assistance nor service from AMC HQ (Which is where you guys located imho). In order to sum up, there is no existence of AMC in Turkey now which i have been informed as. When me and my mom purchased your products we had never been told that lifetime warranty and care someday will be terminated for good. As a long time customer of AMC i feel really disappointed and victimized because lack of attention to my region.

I need your urgent assistance and care; we have been told that AMC is cookware for life i guess not?! I have been told if anything happens Hq factory will handle anything we need. So pls act as told or i will post abt this subject publicly.

Thanx

Must know your cook and bakeware before buying
Oct 07, 2017 09:03 PM8397 Views (via Android App)

When we talk about cookware then there are many cooking equipments which we use but the best among them are electronically operated cookware and bakeware. This is because electronically operated cookware and bakeware makes our work easier then anything else .

So before buying we should know about our need for the bakeware and cookware snd according to the need we should select the size because there are several size available in the market for bakeware and cookware . Now when we know about the size we need then choose the reputated brands and then after that select the brand which has more reputations in that particular bakeware and cookware and select the best among the different selected items.

We also must check the service type provided by the brands and if we get home service then that must be chosen first because it will be tention free for us if there is any kind of breakdown .

Now after buying the cookware and bakeware we must check the manual before using and know the function before using it, there is different type of functions to cook different dishes so one must know the function . And if you follow the instructions given by the manufacturer then the cookware or bakeware will last long.

Cheated by Wonderchef and Sanjeev Kapoor's Name
Jan 03, 2017 04:13 PM9656 Views

Hi

I had bought this item in good faith (on 5/5/2016 with 2 years warranty) since it is associated with Sanjeev Kapoor but now it seems that after paying a heavy premium over similar products in market which are available at much cheaper rates I have got ripped off in the name of Sanjeev Kapoor, as company is not ready to provide replacement or any kind of service. Worst they don't have any service center but they just ask to send images on their email and then they just reject stating you have misused the product. This product's coating has turned black which was not supposed to do as it is ceramic coating and outer paint has chipped off. Tawa, Wok and Pan all turned black and outer paint gone. worst product.

I had used it as per warranty terms & Conditions with low to moderate flame and not high Flames as claimed. Also we had bought 2 of the same products 1 is being used in Hyderabad with my sister and she claims that the product she received is of better quality than what I had received actually she bought this for me after using it for 6 months her's is 6 month older than me but is in good condition. I suppose that as with all Indian companies once their product starts to sell they start reducing the quality, which is obvious in this case and claimed by my sister as she has seen this product and has acknowledged that product I received is of lower quality.

I would therefore appeal to everyone considering buying wonderchef products by seeing Sanjeev Kapoor's show or are attracted to his name believing that products would be of good quality then believe me these products are of bad quality and waste of money. So brothers and sisters please avoid sanjeev kapoor's wonderchef products.

Buy Cookware and Bakeware from Reputed Brands
Jun 13, 2015 10:41 AM35994 Views

Cooking is our daily need, so choice of Cook ware and Bake ware is very important .

If we buy cookware and bake ware of good quality then its a boon, it would make our work easier and if we have purchased something of low quality then it would be a real headache in maintaining those things.

So I always suggest to buy cookware and Bake ware from reputed brands which are of good quality.

For example Indian market is flooded with Pressure cookers from various brands, many of them are local brands which make cheap quality of Pressure cookers, one should never buy those as we regularly read news on bursting pressure cookers of cheap quality.

So spend little more but buy good quality cookware.

When one is using any new cookware or bake ware it is very important to read its user manual first, so to get a clear idea about the product and to know about its cleaning and maintenance.

Like if  we are using Ovens or OTG or Microwave oven we should know what kind of utensils can be used in that particular Bakeware. We cannot use the same thing in all.

In a microwave oven only Microwave safe utensils can be used .In an OTG or simple oven we can not use plastic utensils, it would melt, So know your Bake ware then use it.

Beware of AMC Cookware Agents !!
May 31, 2015 07:47 PM41254 Views

I live in Bangalore, and bought AMC cookware'Galaxy' Set 3 months back.I have not much regrets about the set other than the only point being that its way too expensive. Exorbitantly priced. One should learn how to use these cookware which would take time. You cannot cook Dal, channa, rajma, pulses(or anything that need pressure cook).

Beware of the agents who approach you promising wonders. Its not all that possible what they say. More over I was sold the product by the agent named Aruna., who resides in Kammanhalli area and her sales is not limited to the neighborhood areas though . This lady is accompanied by another senior lady named Saroja, who is also an AMC agent. These duos promise what is not possible, they are mere frauds. They can go any extent promising impossible deals/discount and later cheat on you.

Not just that, when my product was delivered, part of the cookware(egg pouch maker) was not part of the package, which these ladies said will deliver separately. A day later this lady Aruna delivered this egg pouch(at my home when I was away in office) which was old, used with lots of scratches, which looked like scrap!  Wooh! I pay fortune to get old/used utensils?!?  When I called this lady, she took back the set and delivered the new set next day! Woohhhhhffffff! Beware of these ladies.!

Don't buy a Branded product from frauds!

AMC coockware Fake reviews
May 12, 2013 01:06 PM24836 Views

After reading the reviews about AMC cookware found something fishy. All the "very useful" 5 star reviews writers have user names somewhat similar.. tina08, sona11, asha77, chikku43, jojo98 written around same time .. few days difference. I am not sure if the product is good or not but the really have doubt about the reviews .. seems fake to me.

So think about it before reaching to  any conclusion.

Overly priced product
Feb 25, 2013 12:52 PM24861 Views

You should be careful about the positive reviews of the product. That can be consultants themselves writing it. Many have only one review in their name.

Telling you the truth, this product is no better than a good American or European cookware. But the price is probably twice that of an equivalent product.

You can cut on oil, hence makes food healthier
Dec 17, 2010 05:18 PM28461 Views

I purchased AMC cookware 3 months back. I must say that we are extremely happy that we invested in this product. Initially I had some difficulties but now I am comfortable using it. I do all my cooking in AMC now. Last sunday I baked a cake in this cookware, it came out really soft and spongy and my kids & husband really loved it.

They have a Nutrition expert who conducts a cookery class in their office which is very informative and helpful. I highly recommend this cookware to anyone who is planning to buy a new cookware for their kitchen as it is good value for money.

Bogus product

NUTRITIOUS FOOD MINUS FAT AND OIL
Dec 20, 2009 08:36 PM30982 Views

Hi, I purchased AMC Cookware as a gift for my wife because she likes cooking a lot. The first recipe she tried  preparing was chocolate cake and believe me it did not come good at all. finally we tried  consulting  with the sales women who had come and she directed us to the branch in mumbai(Andheri).

The branch people were very helpful and suggested us to attend cookery classes that are conducted at the branch. We have attended four cookery classes and these classes were the best  solution to our problem. This was our experience 3 years back we are satisfied with the product and the investment made I say it as investment. We are yet to try their new products and hope they are as good as the ones we already have.

Healthy and delicious food cooked in less time
Dec 18, 2009 05:52 PM26362 Views

I received an AMC set with some cookery class gift vouchers as a wedding gift. When I checked online, I came to know about this company and the specialty of the cookware. I later contacted the branch close by to my place with the cookery coupons and attended the classes.  I was quiet happy with the vessels but had problems cooking food like rajma, rice & mutton as it took a lot of time to cook.

However, about a year later I received a call from a new product demonstration and it turned out to be an additional lid for the existing vessel.  I was a little taken aback by the cost and felt it was quite expensive. However, I was impressed with speed of cooking & the fact that it could cook stuff like rajma, mutton etc within a matter of minutes. I felt it would be useful so I decided to go ahead & buy the lid. The vessel which I had earlier was also repolished and given to me at a nominal charge. This secquick lid has made my life easier, I now have calmer mornings as I finish all my cooking faster and am relatively hassle free when I reach office.

Tasty food with low fat
Dec 16, 2009 03:44 PM24696 Views

I am a vegetarian.  I love the food cooked in AMC vessels. I have purchased the units about 8 months back. I was not very comfortable initially. I was thinking it’s not value for money because I was not happy with the method of using the vessel. I would receive calls from the company to attend cookery classes which I was not able to attend.

People at home were insisting me attend the class so that I could start using the cookware. Finally I went to attend a free cookery class conducted in Malleshwaram branch and realized that I was not using the vessels in the right method. I was given the option of attending specialized classes at a nominal fee so that I can be comfortable in cooking which I did, and today I am very happy purchasing the vessel and my every day cooking is in AMC vessels. The money that I have spent on the purchase is paying back by giving my family tasty and healthy food.

AMC Cookware- Its Healthy,Its Tasty
Dec 11, 2009 06:24 PM25760 Views

I bought AMC Cookware almost 6 months back. Its really a nice product. We have cut down on our oil consumption by half. The food is very tasty.I also baked a cake using AMC and came out soft and tasty.

My husband has high colestrol and by using AMC I am able to cut down his oil intake, he appreciate the taste as well.I have by now tried a lot of recipes in AMC both Veg and non Veg liked by my family and it all came out very well minus the calore and plus the taste.

You need to be buying a set which is apt for your family and I now realize that I need more since I got only two pots in the set I bought. We couldnt afford to buy more.I think may be they could sell it a bit more cheep as so many cannot afford them.If you decide to buy then its well worth the investment over a longer period of time.

I have heard that omletts and dosas dont come out well in the thavas they sell from one of my friend hence be careful.I dont know weather its her way of using but make sure you are sure on the usage of the thava.

AMC Cookware
Nov 01, 2008 02:36 AM29544 Views

We bought an AMC basic set (with a 24cm roaster) in May 2008 after attending a cooking demonstration. In fact we were considering buying a microwave oven. When I was told that u could cook as well as bake and steam in this unit I decided to go for it. Anyway I wasn't convinced about the safety of microwave ovens with regard to the radiation.

We started using the cookware immediately. As part of the package we were entitled to 2 free cooking classes conducted by AMC.

My wife and I now enjoy cooking with this cookware. This cookware is excellent for making pulao(oil used is about 20% of what was used earlier), cooking chicken dishes, steaming vegetable(gets ready quickly and retains natural flavour), baking puddings and cakes(Excellent! We have practically stopped buying cakes from out).  All this cooking and baking is done with the gas on SIM.

There are a couple of disadvantages though. Removing stains is a little time consuming. Tough meats are best done in a pressure cooker.

As regard the service, the AMC staff in Goa are very helpful.

Quite useful for vegetarians too
Mar 22, 2007 10:48 AM28623 Views

I am a vegetarian and used AMC cookware for the same.  It is quite useful for making Dosas and Pizzas (good for reheating pizza and also for making the pizza with readymade pizza base).  The technique has to be right for making the dosas or else, it can be a pain - the same problem that one faces with any iron tava.  IF the pan is not preheated enough it might give problems.  It is only the experience which will  teach you how to get it right.

Though I am not sure about the lentils like chic peas and rajma - how do they cook?  Have not tried but shall seriously peruse it. You can always go to their office in Indiranagar and get information.

They keep organising talks and cookery classes which one can go. The handle of my skillet was damaged and it was repaired and polished as if new without any questions asked.  The warranty is lifetime and as we are in Bangalore, we have the advantage to get the stuff fast as their factory is inPeenya. In the end, it is entirely up to us to make good use of a product.  It is true not only to AMC but any other product.

Hope this feedback helps!

AMC Cookware - Beware of after-sales service!
Dec 24, 2006 11:42 PM102759 Views

There is a costly choice for your cooking needs - it's called as the 'AMC Cookware' (German technology) and is made of 'surgical grade steel'.

Costs: It costs about Rs 34000/- - 35000/- for a standard set of 3-4 cooking vessels! Quite a lot for a set of cooking vessels, you'd say. Ofcourse, there are benefits that come your way when you pay such money; you end up making healthier food and it also saves some cooking gas over a period of time (My estimate says that it'll take about 8-10 years to get your money back on the vessels, while the salesman says that it takes 5 years).

Let me come to the 'value for money' point straight-away...

Advantages of the Cookware:

  1. Gives you healthier food (fresher food).

  2. Reduced cooking time (not on all dishes, but if you're a good cook, with experience you'll learn how it saves time) -- don't take the salesman' or the demonstrators' word though! For basic daily cooking, it does save time -- no doubt about that.

  3. It saves on cooking GAS -- not as much as the salesman says (I'm using it and it saves me about 10-15% a cylinder, on average).

  4. More useful for non-vegetarians (for cooking non-veg dishes).

Dis-advantages of the Cookware (and the dealers in Bangalore!):

  1. Cannot cook all dishes -- e.g., dosas, pizzas don't turn up well at all (give the fact that I'm quite a good cook) -- and the salesman promises that it does confidently! For vegetarians, deep thinking is neccessary. So, be careful and don't rush through your decision to buy it (take 2-3 weeks to decide after doing your homework thoroughly). The sales folks  in Bangalore for AMC are quite pushy and can be uncomfortable.

  2. After sales-service is below average -- the representatives at the AMC office in Bangalore are not the friendliest (be prepared for strong snubs) and customer-service is not 'first' on their agenda.

  3. You need to be an expert cook (not just average) and should very precisely know the quantity aspects of cooking food (you should know things such as the exact amount of heat that needs to be controlled to cook food 'just right' etc...).

  4. The AMC maketing team will show-case their better products (the cost effective ones) only in the end and show you their 'basic' products 'only' at first. So, beware...

Other tips:

  1. Compare it with a microware and ask detailed questions to convince yourself that it's the right choice and that YOU will find it useful.

  2. Go for 3-4 demos (they will give it to you before the deal is done, because it costs a fortune in INDIA; after that, there is no visit at all). Be completely sure that it can cook all Indian dishes (particularly if you're a vegetarian).

  3. They don't have a buy-back policy. So, be absolutely sure of the terms of warranty.

Hope that helps. Im summary, probe deep, get all your questions answered,  don't make a quick decision just because the sales guy is rushing you through it and do your homework!

Pots! Pans! Oh My!
Jun 05, 2003 10:34 AM44885 Views

I was once a young cook, a long time ago, starting out on my own, a new bride I was. And I new about cooking about as much as my next store neighbor’s cat did! Oh I had learned to cook some things while at home, my mother is the most wonderful cook in the world. I learned how to cook grits(coming from the south this is a necessity, plus I like them); anyway, I also learned to fix fried eggs, rice, gravy, and several types of meat and potatoes, along with other various food items.(Of course to this day I can’t tell you what some of them were.) With age one learns to cook better all the time. I figure I have not been doing to bad of a job, all the family are still breathing.

At my bridal shower many moons ago I was given a set of Club Aluminum pots, which my mother swears by. They were good pots, and I certainly don’t deny that. But my mother now has both my sisters and my sets. I discovered there was something out there better for me. Some people love the Club, however, I do suggest that you turn the heat down when using them though for food will stick quickly in them.

And how to break my mothers heart by using one of those traders! Oh well, I got over that one in a big hurry. I was on a mission for a new set of cookware! I discovered that there were pots and bake ware and other devises that had this wonderful silver coating all on the insides of them.(I think it is Teflon). And it doesn’t stick! At least not to easy. Of course turning the heat down is a good thing to remember.

When my daughter got married she had the absolute nerve to ask me how I felt about Teflon coated pots and pans and cookware. I asked her what had she been smoking. I reminded her in who’s house she had been raised in. She just laughed and said “just kidding mama.” I felt rather relieved. Of course one of her many wedding gifts from her mama was a set of pots with Teflon coating.

Now days when I am seeking to buy any new bakeware, pots, pans or cookware, I look for the Teflon coated ones. For me they are the easiest. They clean up well too! I mostly just use warm soapy water. When the package tells you easy clean up, that is what it means, EASY CLEAN UP!

You need to check around though at the different stores to compare prices as well as items in a set. A good starter set to have is one with a variety of sizes and comes with a frying pan and lids. Your choice of colors are available now days.

I have also learned that no matter what kind or cookware or bakeware that you have; a good slow cooking method is always best. Because believe it or not food will stick in those silver coated things particularly if you leave the heat on high. This is really good for new cooks to learn. Turn the heat down low. Besides foods taste better cooked slowly. At least I think so.

Another thing I have discovered in cookware and bakeware is crystal. Now this is some expensive stuff, but good. I also have a set of those$1000.00 pots. They cook very well also. And believe it or not they clean up easily. But you have to remember to turn that heat down.

The most important thing to remember is to get something that you like. OR take back something that you don’t like and get what you do like. Items that are easily cleaned are wonderful and I suggest these types of cookware and bakeware.

Check around for the best prices. Don’t just buy the first set that you come to. I know how you young cooks are; you don’t want to look around, because you haven’t learned that lesson yet. I have one of you in my family, and I know how she thinks! And I do realize that not all new cooks thinks like my daughter and I praise you for trying to save a buck, but most of you do. You have to live and learn as you go.

Also look to see if the ones you have chosen has availability of individual items for sale. In the very near future you may decide that you need another pot of the same size you already have and instead of buying another set to just get that one pot, look to see if it is sold separately. Your set will match by doing this. Lids are always good to have. They are handy for many different things other than covering the pot. Such as fires, bugs and spiders. Just everyday stuff.

You should also know that if you decide to buy the Teflon coated stuff, (and there are many good ones out there, ) you would need to take care of them. Do not use utensils that will cause scratches. This is not good for your bake ware or cookware. Use the utensils better known as plastic. And some of those utensils come in that silver coated stuff now days. Stainless steel should go with stainless steel pots, pans, etc, and the plastic should go with the Teflon stuff. A cooking spray is good to have around as well.

You should also remember to turn the handles of the pots toward the inside of the stove and be sure you never leave anything unattended. If you have children follow this rule to a T. And do remember to use a dishcloth when touching hot items. So many of you young cooks forget that. Let me tell you it HURTS!(We older ones forgot that rule sometimes also.)

Just remember to take your time in deciding what kind of bakeware or cookware that you want. Check the facts for each brand, and check consumer reports as well. It is also good to read those pamphlets that come along with your new stuff, you know the one, THE WARRANTY AND INSTRUCTIONS ON USAGE. If they suggest for you to coat your new stuff with oil then do it. This will help the new cookware/bake ware to perform better and you will get a longer use from them.

Although Stainless Steel, iron, glass and aluminum are good items to have and I have them all now in my older age. I personally do prefer the Teflon coated ones. I strongly dislike the glass pots. We won’t go there.

There are different types of cookware/bakeware, all sorts of shapes and sizes and used for all sorts of reasons. Just use your best judgment. Don't be afraid to ask someone what they use, remember word of mouth goes a long way. And you may not like what someone else has, or you just might. That is yet to been seen for you. But get what you want.

Take care of what ever you decide to purchase and use common sense when cooking. Turn the heat down and turn the handles toward the inside of the stove. These are the most important.

I am sure that I have missed something, but I do hope that this review will help some of you along your way in your cooking adventures of life.

Good luck.

I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.

God Bless!
