Usually a bike engine runs with 4 stroke petrol engine it runs with a burning spark hence engine is always hot. It is provided with a coolent but some among them are extra powerful bikes like Ducati it can supply coolent in its workng process itself hence we can ride it for 5 hrs continously and comfortably .some bikes ranging for 50k in the market has normal engine provided hemce it becomes very hot for its continously usage of 2 hrs hence we must give a break for such bikes .
They work with engine oils and lubricants inside this is a complex mechanism.
There are 3 types of engine oils they are mineral oil which is extracted from petroleum base, semi synthetic engine oil that is a mixture of petroleum base and man made, and full synthetic oil that is made of chemical compounds and donot contain any petroleum base .
In my observation I felt that full synthetic oils have very good performance comparing to mineral oil but is quite expensive.
Engine is directly proportional to power it uses fuel to convert it into potential energy.
For every bike when purchased it is provided with a booklet mentioning all the details of your bike it is also given with a grade of oil that is suitable for your bike .W in this way it is given where ## represents the number like 10, 15, 20 to 60.
For example:-
For Pulsar 150ccdtsi it is good to use 20W50 graded engine oil .
Some bike engines like bajaj engine has no longer life after traveling for 60000 km it gives trouble exerting black and white smoke and provides noice .
To avoid such problems we must take it for servicing after travelling for 1500 to 2000 km all parts such as chain, chain spoket, bosh, especially engine must be serviced.
My suggestion is to take your bike for servicing once a month .
In my observation besides servicing I found honda bikes to be the best in over all performance.
Thanking you .
Awaiting for your comments and suggestions.
