The yellow chilli good restaurant
Nov 10, 2016 11:30 AM 3256 Views

Once it happened me to go to this restaurant to have the dinning over there. I visited this restaurant with my freinds. The ambience was very good and the music was very nice and the restaurant had a decent apperance to look. We entered the restaurant and simply grab our chairs at the tables. We ordered for the kababs and chicken tikas and a special biryani which were very tasty and we all loved a lot and enjoyed with my friends. The fod was very taste and lovable. We can visit this place to have a lovely food and enjoy. The speed of service is very good and the restaurant food deserves your money as the items shows a great value to them.

Good Place To Have Food
Apr 30, 2014 07:21 PM 10077 Views

Had been there with my friend last weekend-

Ambience: Amazing! Everything was set around so well. The music is great.

But It was very crowded when I went. Its better to reserve before you go there.

Service: Well served. The waiters are interactive and listen to you. Certain food items take a little longer to be brought on to the table.

Food: Definitely one of the best places in terms of food especially North Indian. Delicious starters and your tummy will be filled just with starters. The main course is as good as starters and the deserts are good too.

I didn't find any negative point abt this restaurant. Can try this place once.

Wonderful Experience at Pune Outlet
Apr 09, 2014 03:30 PM 9812 Views

Had been to Pune to attend a business meeting last week and was surprised to find a Yellow Chilli restaurant here. I frequent their outlet at Thane and was tempted to try out their outlet at Pune. It was a wonderful experience, the food was as delicious as usual and the service too was quite good and polite.

We had ordered for a Kebab platter and the kebabs were really melt-in-mouth. Then came the Bhuna gosht. Mutton butter masala was well cooked, tender and gravy was just out of the world. Accompanied by kulcha

I must say, that the level of quality and service was at par with the Thane outlet.

Enjoyed Dinner

If you want real North Indian food in Pune then you should check it out! It has average pricing and good food. It has ok ambience, its not bad. There is a wide variety of both veg and non veg dishes.

Non platter we ordered had fish tikka, tandoori chicken, chicken steek & mutton steek 2 pcs each. It was cooked for perfection. The dum biryani is also rather nice. Service I found to be decent. But the quantity of food in the main course was amazing quantity.

Prices are reasonable for the food you get. Overall we had nice experience.

Good place to visit for that spicy non-veg food. I visited this place along with my friends.

The bhuna gosht and tawa chicken was good. The non-veg platter is also pretty good. The main course is pretty decent.

Overall, its a nice place.I suggest you to try Gulab jamun and jalebis at the end. Its the best I ever had.

The staff is very friendly and I loved the decor inside. Would love to wish to come back here with my friends or family soon.

Our family dine out place.
Jan 24, 2014 02:25 PM 9958 Views

I have visited Pune on several occasions, the same restaurant in fact as my parents have settled here. A couple of times initially the service was really bad, but I did like the kind of variety here.

Recently, it feels like they have had a makeover completely. The staff have turned amazingly courteous.

Food is better than ever and the restaurant is now our family dine out place every Saturday. I love retails n restros that take in feedback

And happy that Yellow Chilli did change to make the experience better.

Great place for family dinners

This is one of those must visit restaurant chains with some really innovative food. The service is quite prompt. We liked the interactions with the waiters. Made us feel quite comfortable.

The taste of the food is quite remarkable. Different from any other restaurant or cuisine we have come across. It’s a great place for family dinners, especially if you want to take a break from cooking and still eat something that feels healthy and delicious.

Truly great!

One Word- "Pathetic"
May 12, 2013 11:43 PM 2547 Views

I was welcome with lot's of awards at the door.  Including mouthshut and bu_rrp. well I can safely say they are just for the food and not for the overall experience called 'restaurant'. Food was spicy ( as in spicy, according to Pune standards) ... so no complaints about it.

But then everything else was so pathetic that I do not want to visit there again. It gives a bitter after mouth taste of the complete experience.

It took over 100 minutes to finish my dinner which included only 2 course menu. Usually I do not take more than 30 minute even with slow service. The service was snail pace (please suggest any other analogy, if you can define slower than this) and loss of menu items( whatever we said was unavailable) made this experience forgettable and hence decided never to visit there again ...(promise, I won't go there again).

So much for the name of Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor. Thank you.

The staff / Manager/ Owner need to benchmark the service department to complement the food they serve. I can foresee this restaurants in 'Closed' list already.

Visit Date : 12 May 13 ... reservation time 8:15 PM , reservation name missing :)

Specially for Sanjeev to read

Utterly disappointing..... I am surprised that a restaurant which has the name of Sanjeev Kapoor could do something like this..... The waiter tells us something else....... The bloody Manager knows that.... and the owner or whoever that guy was says that my waiters are right.... and the guests / customers have lied.... then when he is explained, he says "it can be a misunderstanding na"....

What an ass? Sanjeev or anybody else, if u reading this, then you better do something about your staff.... Loved your food.... And, believe me I wnted to recommend it to atleast 100 of my friends & colleagues..... and m not exaggerating... But, if your staff keeps claiming that the guests/customers are lying, even one of them.... then God help your restaurant....

Earlier, I was suprised that why was the restaurant so empty, inspite of good food, a good package & offc ocurse the name of sanjeev kapoor..... But, now I know......

OK

12Next Hemant OK From few days I was hearing about this place..owned by one of the the best chef of India, Sanjeev Kapoor.

Finally yesterday we decided to visit this place. We were there for Lunce. ....More From few days I was hearing about this place..owned by one of the the best chef of India, Sanjeev Kapoor. Finally yesterday we decided to visit this place. We were there for Lunce. Location : - Firstly it was situated at inner part of KP.You can see the name of the hotel , its just opposite Post 91.You have ample parking space which is good.

Ambiance: - When we readched there, hall was already occupied so we decided to seat outside. It has a decent decore, music was little loud. Now main part Food : - It was a buffet, which is good..in SOUP we have only one option Dal Dhaniya Shorba which is really good.

For STARTERS we have one veg which is Kabab and one non-veg which is Chicken 65.Both were not so good. For chicken 65 we felt it has some extra hint of garlic & Jeera. Kababs were potato and I guess corn ..but I m not sure. In SALADS we have assorted salad, plain salad, sprouts salad, papads among all these sprouts salad was nice, little spicey.

Live chat counter was there , my wife enjoyed that coz I don't like chat , but as per her it was not up to the mark ( I m not sure, she compared it with chat thela :) ) For main course I am quite surprised, as we don't have many options, fish curry and chicken was good. For veg people , there were 3 subjis , dal tadaka .palak paneer, methi tawa. Methi tawa was ok . For rice, they had pulav and murg biryani. Both were ok.

Last but not the least, for DESERTS, they had 4 options, chocolate ice cream, shahi tukada-this was nice, gulab jamun and fruits. Per head cost was around 400 including Tax.

Overall I can say it was OK, may be I was expecting more from name of Sanjeev Kapoor.

Terrible experience for Sanjeev Kapoor banner

Not worth the moolah spent! just not worth it !

I used to be a great fan of Sanjeev kapoor TV shows, and the class that he maintained. With this expectation, I went to the restaurant and that too only for the name, it was a whopping 500 + Taxes ( close to 560 )The spread was very limited and the taste................................

I can make better food ( I have started cooking barely a month back )the main course was sad, none of them would make you feel good about the place, taste or the money spent. and guess what ( there were only 2 desserts...........one extremely sweet and the other was almost like he forgot to add sugar :-(I was totally disheartened!

Good, but not for often visit
Dec 22, 2009 02:59 PM 5062 Views

Some days back, on a Fri afternoon, we had visited this restaurant.  We had not booked in advance, but were able to get the tables of our choice. The ambience is good, not impressive though. The hotel has a ground floor and a first floor. The first floor was closed and only the ground floor was open to the public. As a whole the space is small compared to other similar hotels like BBQ-Nation etc.

Now the food -

We were served 2 starters, one the harabara kabab, and another something similar to chicken  tikka(minus the spices).  The waiters were very slow and served only a couple of tikkas whenever we asked them. They were behaving as though they were serving from their own pockets.  The chicken starter was good. The harabara kabas were like stones.

Another interesting part of the restaurant is a live chat corner. We didnt take any chats as we have them regularly. One item I liked from that chat corner is the egg raitha. There was only one type of soup, tomato shorba. It was very sour in taste. We didnt like it.

The food was normal.  Not spicy, less salt.  The worst were the rotis. Even a dog could not have eaten those rotis. They were very small in size( half of your palm size). We asked for 2 rotis and the waiter took good half an hour to get them.  Never thought of asking more rotis. The biryani was good . The dal was superb and dal with steam rice was like heaven.

In desert, there were gulab jamoons and icecream. The gulab jamoons were soft and good.

Over all an OK restaurant, but not for revisit. Price was 275+ taxes per person .

We also serve vegetarian insects salad
Nov 02, 2009 12:14 PM 4694 Views

Vegetarian salad was served with ant toppings (Insect found in the salad)... Very sad, but true...

After bringing this to the notice of manager, he did not even bother to say sorry...just picked up the plate and gone...and acted like nothing happened. No courtesy...

Food quality was a big shock with mutton smelling like fish. Chicken greavy which was better amongst the menu also tasted nothing else than smashed tomato. Vegetarian starter was 'Hara bhara kabab' for which we could only rename it to 'Hara bhara kharaab'. Chicken Biryani was made from kindof rationing rice, very ordinary quality.

Dessert: Gulab jamun was good. Strawberry ice cream which later tasted like cough syrup was still a better combo with gulab jamun. Rasgullas were powdery to taste.

We enjoyed the Ambience/Decor, but the motive was to have lunch so ambience could not cover-up for bad food.It was not a good experience on Friday afternoon (30 Oct, 2009). Not recommended to start a weekend mood.
