Smells bad

I bought the bodyshop ginger shampoo. It costed me almost 1000 rs for a small bottle pack. The packaging was nice and user friendly. I used the shampoo and I just did not like the smell especially after wash. The shampoo has a very strong ginger smell and dosent fade away easily.

It even leaves your hair dry and fringy. I do not recommend this product. I simply waisted all my money.

Ginger Sparkle Body Butter

Never one to resist a good sale, I got involved in the post-Christmas Body Shop sale action and ended up with a few ginger products. One of these was the Ginger Sparkle body butter.

I love ginger – the taste, the smell, everything. It has often been associated with the festive season, but it is good all year round. This body butter comes in a brown slightly shimmery tub with a cute picture of a gingerbread man on the lid – very Christmassy.

Inside, the body butter is a very pale brown in colour, and it is quite thick. It has a lovely sweet ginger smell. To use it, I scoop some out of the tub and apply it to my skin after a bath or shower. It sinks in well and, though it is thick, it doesn’t leave a greasy layer on my skin. Having said that, it is a bit thick to use in the morning before I head to work, so I tend to use it after my evening bath or post-exercise shower. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all.

The body butter makes my skin smell really good, even up to the next day. It has a gorgeous ginger scent that reminds me a bit of Christmas, though it didn’t stop me using it in the summer! Despite the name, I didn’t notice that the body butter made my skin sparkle – this is probably a good thing though as shimmer isn’t always practical!

If this comes back next Christmas, I would like to repurchase – it’s great.
