!~ Falak Tak Chal Sath Mere ~!
May 02, 2008 05:27 PM7646 Views

The whole problem can be stated quite simply by asking, 'Is there a meaning to music?' My answer would be, 'Yes.' And 'Can you state in so many words what the meaning is?' My answer to that would be, 'No’. *

OK, don’t be confused. I simply want to say that the music of this movie is just brilliant. Don’t go by my words which I have written for all songs as the meaning of music cannot be expressed in words. You need to feel it.

I decided to write this review because of one song which takes you in the world of clouds and stars. Few lines of this song are simply awesome.

Suraj ko huyi hai hararat, raaton ko kare shararat

Bheita hai khidki pe teri

Haaannnn

Is baat pe chand bhi bigda, kathra kathra woh pighla

Bhar aaya aankho mein meri

Toh suraj bhuja doon, tujhe mein saja doon

Savera ho tujh se hi kal

Hooo…oo.

After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music. This song really does that. Your heart will be overflowing with the feeling of love while listening this song. Other songs are just stylish but they have got a very good music. It’s innovative and brilliant. I have tried to give 2-3 lines of description for each song.

  1. Falak Tak Chal Sath Mere: ** It is a song which takes you in the world of clouds, moon and stars. Warmth of love is greater than sun the beauty of togetherness is better than moon.  When you love someone, all your saved-up wishes start coming out. You can start visualizing all your dreams in front of your eyes. Talk reaches beyond skies, a person glows more than the sun, all games begin in clouds, moon looks less charming in night, and there comes a story which gives heavenly feeling. If it all happens to you, you are in love. If you are in love you must listen this. If you are not in love but still want to feel the romance do listen it.

Falak  tak chal sath mere, falak tak chal sath chal.. 2

Ye baadal ki chaadar,

ye taaro ke aanchal me chhup jaaye hum pal to pal..

2. White White Face Dekhke:  It’s a stylish Hinglish song, which is rocking because of its music. It’s an innovative music and if you like something “hatke” then you would definitely like it. The choice of Sukhwinder and Sunidhi Chauhan is well suited for this.

White white face dheke dil woh beating fast sasura

Jaan se maare reeee eehhheeee

3. Tashan Mein:  This is the title song of this movie and it’s well qualified for that. Music and lyrics has its own Tashan. It says “apni to baat magar niraali hai” and I must say this song is surely “niraala”. All lovers of Vishal-Shekhar’s music are going to love this.

Heeyyyy..

Tali bajawe naache gaawe

Rab howe sarik jeene ke jasan mein - 2

Apni tho baat margar kuch nirali hai

Apne toh khoon mein ishq ki lali hai

Hoi apna jeena tho…jeenaaa…

Tashan mein tashan mein

Tashan mein tashan mein – 8

  1. Dil haara Re: **This falls in the category of love songs but as per the Tashan of this movie this is a love song in a different estyle. It pretends to show feelings but in a rocking style. Music has given more priority than lyrics here. Not all but few people may like this style.

Oh banke aawara mein kisme lene pauhanch gaya hu

Koi tho rokho, kho jao re

Masti ka mara mein kya bolu yeh kise kahu mein

Dil ka paigara ho jao re

Dil haara re

Dil haara haara dil haara haara mein haara

  1. Chhaliya Chhaliya: **Sunidhi Chauhan must have enjoyed while singing this song. It expresses the outer expressions of a smart girl. I said outer expression as it really conveys everything which you could except in a first impression. Some good music adds value to normal but expressive https://lyrics.

Nasheela nasheela tera naina

Cho raile humra chaina

Ab humre dil mein rehna

Aaa

Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.Fill your cup of silence with the music of Tashan and believe me it will give you some real “nasha”...

Tashan - Music Review
Apr 24, 2008 09:56 PM3498 Views

One of the strong points of Yashraj Films is their music. Along with the plot and star cast, Yashraj also works hard in selecting the right music directors and singers. Their music never falls below the expectation of the audience and their every album always has some uniqueness in the lyrics and music. It remains on the chartbusters for a long time and leaves a deep impression in one’s mind.

Tashan is already in the news for his powerhouse of star cast and unpredictable plots. The promo is playing on different channels but its music is still to become one’s favorite. To frame music of Tashan, Yashraj had selected the most sought after and talented music director duo Vishal-Shekhar. They had already proved their versatility and capability of scoring good music in their recent work, Heyy Babyy and Om Shanti Om. Here is the gist of the songs.

Dil Haara –This song has been crooned by Sukhwinder Singh. And as usual, he had given a sufi touch in it. It stars with a slow and low pitch but gained momentum by the end. Lyrics have been written by Piyush Mishra and the song is picturised on Saif Ali Khan. It is an unusual love song with a mixture of folk and rock track, unlike soft romantic number. The song is average to listen and can attract few to hear repeatedly.

Dil Dance Maare –It is a peppy number crooned by Sukhwinder Singh, Udit Narayan and Sunidhi Chauhan. The song consists of Hindi and English mixture. It is too complicated and generally consist of hotchpotch of sentences like'White White Face Dekhe, Dilwa Beating Fast, Sasura Chance Maare Re; O Very Happy In My Heart, Dil Dance Maare Re' etc. It is very confusing and basically meant to spread fun and only fun. It is picturized on Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. It is a total masti number. Listening to the song, people will just laugh and make them to groove as the song plays.

Falak Tak –It is a perfect romantic number crooned by Udit Narayan and Mahalaxmi Iyer. The song is soothing to the ear and can be regarded as one of the best song of the album. It is a soft romantic number that sounds melodious. Kausar Munir has written the lyric and it is the only soft number in Tashan.

Chhaliya– This song has been sung by Sunidhi chauhan and Piyush Mishra. Lyric has been zeroed by Anvita Dutt. It is a perfect blend of western and Indian track. It starts with a slow pitch but gradually catches the fast rhythm. It can be regarded as an average hearing.

Tashan Mein – It is the title track of the movie and so lots of effort has been put by the music director. Piyush Mishra and Vishal knit the https://lyrics. It tells the journey and struggle of the four main characters. It depicts their intension and aim.

'Pooja Ka Tashan', 'Jimmy Ka Tashan', 'Bachchan Pande Ka Tashan' and'Bhaiyyaji Ka Tashan'. These are the four versions of Tashan of the four characters of the film. Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Kumar and Anil Kapoor in their own way narrate what Tashan really means to them individually.

On the whole, Tashan is a complete album suitable for all ocassions. So, go buy a copy today!

The Tashan of The Vishal and The Shekhar
Apr 17, 2008 04:43 PM3210 Views

Okay, so who thought that the Bhojpuri songs could end up being the most stylish songs of the year?

Well, think again. The Yash Raj Philms have made impossible, the Possible. yes, The Dil Dance Maareis the most happening song of the time. The people are just going the crazy over this song. it is a very mast and phantastic songva. It tells you the mood of the film very beautiphully.

The other song, Dil Haara Re, which has The Saif Ali Khan and The Kareena Kapoor is also a very memorable song. The theme music of this song, which was also used in the picture hall ka trailer, is vhery appealing. also, the words like Tabadtod Naach loon are a vhery refreshing change phrom the usual Hindi philm song.

The Challiya song, in which The Kareena Kapoor is looking the gorgeous is a vhery dhaansoo song which has made everyone ghayal. Her the new look is vhery lovely.

The Falak Tak Chal song is a romantic song that reminds you of other Yash Raj songs like Chup Chup Ke phrom BnB, Bol Na Halke Halke phrom JBJ ex sectra. It is the vhery peacephul song of the album. Apna Akki Bhaiyya and Kareena ka jodi will look cool.

The Tashan Mein song also helps you to set the mood phor this philm. it is a road action philm and the song is perphect phor it.

And now some of the technical things about the song. Phirst of all. The Vishal and The Shekhar's music phor this film is vhery hatke phrom what the public has been hearing. So, they deserve the Hats Off phor it. And secondly, as The Gulzar Saab and The Javed Saab have been saying that the Hindi songs don't use too many of the words and repeat the words like the Pyaar ex sectra. This album goes beyond those of the clichés and give us some new and phersh words.

Some of the people can pheel that the songs are the meaningless and bulshit. But to those of my phriends I would like to say that the point of the song in the philm is to tell the story in the style of the philm. So just like in the Umrao Jaan, you cannot have the "Zara Zara Touch Me", similarly in the Tashan, you cannot have the "Mohe Panghat Pe Nandlal Ched Gayo Re". You have got to have some Hip songs.

'Tashan' Means Style. and this album is vhery stylish. I would call it, the most stylish album in the very long time.

Hats off to The YRF, The Vishal and The Shekhar, The Vijay Krishna Acharya, The Piyush Mishra, The Anvita Dutt Guptan, & The Kausar Munir phor this album.

Oh My! This is funny, cute and stupid.

The Music is very well given.else the naked lyrics are.well read the lyrics and decide for yourself!

I want to watch the movie to see how well the lyrics go with the picturisation along with the situation of the song.Waiting to watch it all on the Big Screen!

For now, Vishal-Shekhar.Fantastic work on the music-score!

Lyrics: Piyush Mishra, Vishal Dadlani, Anvita Dutt Guptan & Kausar Munir.Must I dare say." Too many cooks spoil the broth."{only this song lyrics}.where in the world is our beautiful language going? Hindi and Urdu are sweet languages that fill our hearts with joy and push us to tears with just the https://lyrics.excluding the music.Children listen to this and what can one imagine it to be doing to those innocent minds.

White white face.Racism, why cant it just be some other thing?

You might ask me if'tera gora gora mukhda' will not make the same effect.but'gora' might not be understood by all, but'white' is something that everyone across the globe will understand. Its just a matter of how its being comprehended across the masses.

I am not biased, but Javed Akhtarji, you ROCK!

Nevertheless, Fabulous work on the lyrics of Chhaliya and Dil Haara.

Feet tapping Music and one cant stop dancing for Chhaliya. I can hear myself singing the above mentioned two songs all the time! When you just want to dance and dance away.play this. Need to work-out.play it.I bet you cant stop losing calories!

Keep up the great work!

Vishal Shekhar not out of beats in Tashan as well
Apr 04, 2008 02:30 PM4274 Views

This is another hyped about YRF movie to hit the silver screen this

April 25. The promos aired are fun and filled with the glamor element.

The album art and covers are overflowing with “ishtyle”, the

color and typography go in sync with the whole package and help to

build the curiosity about the album itself. The recent promos with the

stars advocating about the movie itself is quite conventional and

overused “pharmoola”. The

music is orchestrated by the dynamic duo Vishal and Shekhar but

interestingly all the song have different lyricist. A package of Tashan

(which I found literally means a blend of style and attitude)

has 9 songs this collection has 5 songs no remixes and four dialog

intros of the four lead actors. Let’s scrutinize each of the songs one

after another.

The album kicks off with “Dil Haara” voiced by Mr. Darde Disco himself Sukhwinder Singh. The lyric for this track is penned by Piyush Mishra and he has done a formidable job, on the

music aspect it has got weight. The Arabic kind beats combined with the

groovy instrumentation makes this trace easy to like and shake a leg.

Next is “Pooja Ka Tashan”

where Kareena blabbering extra heavy god like dialog just spoils the

party environment created by the previous track. Subsequently “Chhaliya” crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan and Piyush Mishra has music that resembles “Na poocho” from cash

in the music department. Keeping the party feel alive this songs also

has the 4/4 beats to keep you moving. Lyrics by Anvita Dutt Guptan is

just average but Sunidhi has executed the song in a brilliant fashion.

Next tashan comes from Saif as “Jimmy Ka Tashan” the dialog is short and interesting . After that, next number is “Dil Dance Maare”

to which again Sukhwinder, Udit Narayan and Sunidhi have lent their

beautiful voices. The hinglish proper Bihari tone lyrics has been

written by Kaushal Munir. This track also has ample percussion with

dhol and everything. The synthetic sounds blended with conventional

instruments, is a plus about this song. Till now the disco environment

is till alive.

At track 6 Akshay perfectly recites “Bacchhan Pande Ka tashan” which depicts his quirky character in the movie. Consequently breaking the groovy atmosphere “Falak tak” with vocals of

Udit Narayan and Mahalaxmi Iyer is a signature Vishal Shekhar romantic

number. Easy on the tempo and use of conventional instruments with

lovely lyrics by Kaushal Munir makes this track stick to your head from

the first listen. Next Anil Kapoor utters “Bhaiyyaji Ka Tashan” which presents he is trying very hard to speak some gud English. Consequently the beats are back with “Tashan Mein”

which is crooned fantastically by one half of the Vishal Shekahr duo

Vishal & Saleem(I guess from the Saleem-Sulaiman duo, they have

collaborated in the past as well). Lyrics penned down by multitalented Vishal

and Piyush Mishra tries to escalate the curiosity about the characters

of the movie. The synthetics sounds and heavy beats still rule this

last song as well.

All in all, the movie seems to be “style over substance” and the music is “beats over melody”.

If you like dance tracks then this is a must buy for you as if might

know that Vishal Shekhar duo has given majority of dance tracks in

their previous ventures(Cash for instance). The music is not that good but goes with the overall look of the film and ok to listen for some times only.

I had requested about it in mouthpad but was not informed about it being added.

Tashan Music Rocks
Apr 04, 2008 12:15 PM2970 Views

I am not a big fan of Vishal-Shekar’s music. I have always felt that their music has been grossly overrated. Despite giving many hit numbers and showing their talent in few songs, I feel that something lacks in their music, the one that makes a listener to eagerly wait for the composer’s next soundtrack release. They are yet to establish a unique style of their own or at least I haven’t noticed any so far. Yet I feel that they have it in them, but no filmmaker has brought it out completely. I liked their ‘Jhankaar Beats’ very much but after that none of the soundtracks of Vishal-Shekar could be called complete. Though ‘Om Shanti Om’ was a big hit and had a variety of songs, I don’t think those songs would have become such a big hit if it were composed for a not so well marketed movie. BUT…

Vishal-Shekar hits bull’s eyes with ‘Tashan’. The soundtrack with an eclectic mix of wide variety of musical genres in all the songs is a sure shot winner and a rocker all the way. Ofcourse, it is heavy on rhythms, hooks and there is too much of fusion, but amidst all of that, the melody in intact and Vishal-Shekar has cleverly concentrated on the melody part which is packaged so well with clever arrangements and varied sounds. Only concern is that(or this could be a compliment too), the music sounds too SELish to me.
