Swiss Kabas is one of those small local restaurants which I generated a taste for ever since I went there quite a few years back. I fell in love with the place the first time I went there.
Initially it was a place on Thippasandra main road, where they had approximately 6 tables for us to sit on and enjoy our food.
Even though the place is small and not very well kept, the food and the taste kept me and my friends going back again and again. We were in love with their Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Noodles as they used to put pieces of Chicken Kabab as the chicken pieces in the rice and noodles, which got me all worked up. It was initially at Rs 35 for one plate but over the years it has become 50 rupees. Still cheap enough in comparison to any other place. The food to my taste has become really spicy so I need to constantly be gulping down water.
My experience there has always been pleasant though initially I was afraid of the hygiene element but eventually I turned a blind eye to it. The quantity they give you is enough to fill any person up. The owner of the place is also always present there to help out with the place, and is one of the friendliest and most polite person I have met.
The place has been having rent issues for quite some time and therefore had 3 different places where they were serving from. The current place they serve is somewhere on the inside of Thippasandra where he does not have any more seating arrangements. Either you take a plate, stand, sit outside only and eat, or just take the food parcelled. I was quite disappointed with the new place as its uncomfortable to sit on the pavement and eat, but then again we have no other better alternative than coming to Swiss Kabab for some decent and good food.
All in all, I wish this person the very best as he wishes to open more branches, and I hope he gets a more bigger place than the one he currently has.
