Scammers! Worst company ever – A Total Fraud!

Square Yards is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They took my interview while I was in India and convinced me to relocate to the UAE at my own expense for flight and visa, promising multiple benefits that turned out to be complete lies.

Here’s how they scammed me:

Promised that travel expenses would be covered by the company – LIE!

Promised to provide a visa within 15 days – LIE!

Told me it would be a 5-day workweek – ANOTHER LIE!

My initial joining date was at the end of the month, but they pressured me to join early in the middle of the month. After joining, I found out that it was a 6-day workweek, and I had to cover all travel expenses myself. Despite working for an entire month at my own expense, at the last moment, the manager told me to renew my visa on my own because they needed "more time" to process the company visa.

They played with my time, money, and trust – TOTAL SCAMMERS! If you’re from India and considering joining Square Yards, DON'T DO IT. Once you reach the UAE, they will manipulate you as per their convenience. Stay away from this scam of a company!

Yesterday I did visited Sowparnika Whitefield reality along with my family. They did explain about the property well. When I started asking about price and its breakup, reality started revealing.

1.Comparing the prices with near by hopefarm, where this property is 16km away

3. No proper break up...like land cost, approvals, construction etc.

   
   




4. Very limited options to choose, claims remaining are sold.

Square yard persons are more dominant and arrogant than the builder. This behavior questions me, this project is merely based on the advertisement? Not on the good name and previous expertise?

I had an extremely disappointing experience with SquareYards regarding my pre-booking refund. At the time of booking, I was assured of an instant refund if I decided to cancel. However, once I canceled, the company kept delaying my refund request for over a week, only to later ask for additional documents that were never mentioned before.

To make matters worse, I was suddenly informed that the refund would take 30-45 days—a stark contrast to the instant refund promise made earlier. This kind of misleading practice is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.

Despite providing all the requested documents, my refund is still not processed. SquareYards’ lack of transparency and customer service inefficiency is frustrating. I urge others to be cautious while dealing with this company. False commitments and unnecessary delays should not be tolerated!

My experience with Square Yards has been extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to caution potential customers. I interacted with Nirmal(field executive) and Managalam Kumar(Manager) who operate within the Pune(Hinjewadi, Wakad) territory, and encountered several false commitments and unethical practices.

False Commitment on Negotiation Assistance: Initially, Square Yards executives promised that they would assist in negotiating with developers to secure a better price. However, during actual negotiation discussions, these executives remained completely silent(two instances). Despite my attempts to prompt them, they were not respected by the developer's sales executives and ultimately gave up every time. Their lack of involvement made it evident that their earlier promises were merely to lure me into their services.

Misleading Cashback Offers: One of the most frustrating aspects was their commitment to provide cashback from Square Yards after finalizing the deal with the developer. Initially, Nirmal verbally committed to a cashback of ₹50, 000. The deal was about to be cancelled during the negotiations, so his manager, Mangalam Kumar, increased the promise to ₹1, 00, 000, provided I paid the booking amount to the developer. However, when I requested them to put this commitment in writing(email), Nirmal turned his words saying waiting for approval from his seniors and Kumar repeatedly assured me that an email would be sent within 2 minutes, which never happened even after a week. Eventually, both Nirmal and Kumar stopped contacting me altogether. They were clearly prioritizing their commission from the developer over their false commitments to me.

Unethical Behavior and Lack of Accountability: The behavior of Square Yards executives demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices. Their primary focus seemed to be on securing their commission from the developer rather than honoring their commitments to me as a customer. This deceitful behavior not only caused me significant inconvenience but also eroded my trust in their services.

Conclusion: Based on my experience, I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when dealing with Square Yards. Their executives appear to be willing to say anything to close a deal, only to abandon their promises once the transaction is underway. The lack of accountability and transparency in their operations is deeply concerning.

I hope my review helps others avoid the frustration and disappointment I encountered.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally bring to your attention the persistent issue regarding the refund amount owed to Mr. Rinkesh Shah for the properties he has booked through your company. Despite multiple assurances and commitments from your representatives, he has yet to receive the promised refunds, nor has he been provided with any explanation for the delay.

He had booked the following flats through Squareyards:

Flat No. 302 in Dosti Zion.

Flat Nos. 71 and 72 (Jodi Flats) in Kalpataru Vivant.

Flat No. 301 in Dosti Zion, booked by Mr. Siddharth Yadav through you.

As per our earlier communications, he was assured that he would receive the following amounts as a refund:

Rs. 50, 000/- for Flat No. 301, Dosti Zion

Rs. 50, 000/- for Flat No. 302, Dosti Zion

Rs. 1, 50, 000/- for Flat No. 71, Kalpataru Vivant

Rs. 1, 50, 000/- for Flat No. 72, Kalpataru Vivant

These refunds were promised to be processed upon the completion of 10% payment for each flat and the registration of the respective properties. However, despite making the required payments and the registration process being completed, the refund amount has not been credited to his account within the stipulated 45-day period, as promised by your representative, Mr. Naved.

It is deeply concerning that, despite numerous follow-up calls and emails with your team, he has not received any refund nor any further clarification or resolution to this matter. The repeated assurances of immediate payment have proven to be unsubstantiated, and the lack of any action from your side reflects poorly on your company’s professionalism and customer service standards.

The delay in processing this refund and the failure to adhere to your commitments have caused considerable inconvenience and frustration. Therefore, I request the following:

Immediate payment of Rs. 4, 00, 000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Only), which includes the refund of the amounts mentioned above.

An interest of 12% per annum on the overdue amount, given the significant delay in processing the refund beyond the promised timeline.

I kindly request that you confirm the payment to Mr. Rinkesh Shah and interest details in writing within 7 days of receiving this letter/mail. If he does not receive the full refund, along with interest, within this time frame, he will be compelled to escalate this matter through other legal and consumer channels, which may include filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Forum and pursuing legal action.

I trust that you will treat this matter with the seriousness and urgency it deserves. I look forward to your prompt resolution of this issue and an official confirmation of the refund within the given time frame.

Square Yards showed me multiple options, all of which were in line with my preferences and budget. Because of the vast variety, I was able to get the best property.

I had given token amount of Rs.20000 to Square yards. It is a fraud company. They said we have refund policy of about 72 hours only.

But they started design work only after one week.

I didn't like their design approach and started losing trust in them. Whatever I asked for they kept saying it is impossible, Ho ho nahi sakta.

After that I asked for refund and they are not refunding my money. They said you have to avail services worth Rs 1.5 lakhs minimum only then you can utilise that money.

I asked them to give me an item worth 20k. But they are not ready. Even their Pan India escalation manager is unprofessional. There is no sense going ahead with this company.

THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETE SCAM ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE AVOID AT ALL COST,

I wish I can give Zero Star to Interior Company by Square Yards. My experience with Interior company has been nothing short of a nightmare from start they have been disorganised, unprofessional & completely unreliable. They are very good in taking token amount of 25, 000 but than they disappear like ghost. They want to extract as much money as possible on the basis of an email. When we asked them to show us the contract before we transfer 4 lacs advance out of total Billing of 8 lacs approx, they refused to show.. General Manager was extremely rude and unfriendly. Due to her behaviour, we started losing trust on interior company. They don’t have any proper set up like Design Cafe or Livespace. They are terrible in communication, and highly unprofessional as there are no logical processes in place.

We asked them to do a smaller work of upto 1 lakh to give them one last chance to gain our trust before we could mentally agree on 8 lacs project with them.

Initially they agreed and then kept on delaying. We kept chasing them on WhatsApp group with no response for many days.

When we asked to refund our initial advance of 25000, they refused, saying it’s not refundable as per policy.. Neither anyone informed us, nor any service was provided. On what basis, they can keep customer’s money.

Never ever pay a single penny in advance even if your considering going with them do yourself a favour & run the other way you’ll be saving yourself a ton of stress, time & money. I wish I can name them but it will impact their career.

Ita a fake company, their sales ppl will first give you hopes to provide you a dream home whoch is ready to move in within your budget and then they will take you to under construction sites or the completed tower where there are no units in your budget and they will waste your time and money and kill your expectations.

I can't suggest Square Yards enough! Their experienced team helped me guide the often overwhelming globe of real estate with comfort. They took the time to comprehend my preferences and provided options that were spot on. I am delighted with my new home!

There is no professionalism people from the organisation agrees while dealing the project once it is done employee leaves the organisation and we customer suffers.

Another pupils take over the project and starts to bring something new and taken extra money and not refunding back.

Highly not recommended company, will never going to suggest this company to anyone.

Since starting of work there has been lack of communication within interior company team, and this has always resulted in a decline in the quality of work, as a result i have lost confidence in their teams ability to complete my project to my satisfaction. As my family is already experiencing mental distress, anguish, annoyance, loss of reputation and social discredit for the situations created by company's work culture. Now It's been more than 7 months interior company started work with 30/11/23 as date of completion and work is still in progress besides deficiency in company's service interior company has maintain intimidate behaviour by not getting work completed nor descope

We had a Very sad experience with this company. They have used low standard material for Modular kitchen and for trims used on the wall ( that's all we got done from them). Things discussed during design where not considered. They take complete payment even before modular kitchen cabinets are delivered, they say that is their policy.( No chance left for u to change anything)

Even after escalating with senior management, no action were taken.

Save your hard earned money and hire some other interior company or its better u do it on your own coz you will get no constructive input from them. You can yourself do better than them for sure.

I downloaded a mobile app called Square Connect by Square Yards, and subscribed to it for property posting and other services. However, my company has been closed for the past 10 months, yet I continue to receive frequent calls from them asking the same questions every day. Despite blocking numerous numbers, the calls persist. I've repeatedly informed the Square Connect team about my business closure, but they continue to inquire why. They disregard my requests and persist in calling me daily with the same queries. This situation feels like harassment, as they are not communicating respectfully. I urge the MouthShut helpline to intervene and instruct them to cease calling me.
