This review would be based only on facts with evidence. I have been playing squash for over 30 years and have played competitively too.
I had purchased 2 Wilson Hyper Hammer Lite squash racquets from Sportsjam in quick sucession.
Both racquets have cracked in the same place. This happened while playing and racquets did not strike the wall, i.e. the racquet was in my hand while playing and it cracked. This is a very rare occurrence for me given that I have been playing for a very long time. A racquet usually breaks when there is a hit on the wall area of the court.
Most players hit the wall and racquets crack since squash is a such a sport. However, the pics of both racquets have been uploaded to prove that this was not the case.
If you see the crack, it is NOT on the head of the racquet, but on the fork area of the racquet. If one strikes the wall, the crack will appear there(head area). It is very difficult to get a crack above the fork area by striking the wall.
The head area(top part of the racquet) is completely intact in shape. You can see it in detail. If there was the hit/strike there with the wall, the racquet shape would have changed.
Also, another important thing is that BOTH racquets cracked in the same place!
I initially called up customer care and they said to provide videos, pictures and a detailed mail. I provided all of this taking a lot of time. They said they will talk to the company etc etc. No revert comes from them(screenshot of the email exchange is attached).
There are 5 emails sent, but there is NOT even 1 email revert to even acknowledge the problem. This lacks sincerity.
My biggest issues are as follows:
The racquet has a defect for sure. Whether the stock is old or defective, am not sure of which.
The customer care is unresponsive. You have to call them everytime, and you get unsatisfactory answers. I even asked them to provide a response in writing. They did not. I have mailed them 5 times(screenshot given). There is not even an acknowledgement.
All inferences above are provided with supporting facts.
