Sony DAV DZ340K

I bought this product just because it had good sound quality and I thought it would suite my needs but after an hour of purchasing it I discovered:-

1. it doesnt support HD movies and Hd videos via USB.

   
   




2. it is not possible to connect its speakers to a laptop directly you might need some sort of cord.

   
   




3. Its DVD player is also not much good.

   
   

If you want good sound quality then it would suite you but overall I will not recommend to purchase this product .  Philips offers better product in much less price.

I hate this product. The sound is great but if u r a HD guy then don't buy it they have written it support 1080p & mp4. But now they are saying its does not support hd video it scale the dvd video to 1080p WTF.

For them 720p means 720*480 what a waste...don't know what to do with this junk..

1. well obviously before buying a product v compare with various other brands here also I compared and results were clear what I did is went to CROMA retail store there were many systems for demo I compared with PHILIPS (rs.15k) and SONY (16.5k) price was 1.5k higher apparently but y people choose sony is because the SUB_WOOFER has got MEGA DIFFERENCE.

   
   




2. sony at all times beats philips THE BOOM efect in simple sense BASS effect was immensly impressive in SONY one could feel it while standing in front where as PHILIPS had weaker wooker weaker bass effect.

   
   




3. in other words when u go for home theatre system compare and feel the difference and buy it and m sure most of us will go for SONY because it gives PREMIUM sound and even at the highest volume it gives out IMPRESSIVE effects of sound.

Excellent in its category/ budget with satelite speakers..

I compared the following models and decided on sony dav-dz340k. Sound quality top amongst all (even from its bluray model).

Only thing, it lacks karaoke recording

With 3d-bluray player:

Samsung ht-e4500k (1000w=??) 20990/18000

Sony bdv-e290 (1000w=125x4+250+250) 19990/ 17500

Lg bh7220 (1100w=180x5+200) 24990/18000

With only dvd player:

Sony dav-dz340k (1000w=167x5+165) 16990/15000

Lg ht 924sf (1200w=175x5+325) 16990/ 12800

Philips hts5530(1000w=??) 15990/14250

The prices were in jan-13 while i enquired
