Cheat people with defective and damaged items

Don’t buy any product from indiatimes shopping, because they send damaged item and also they don’t hear your complaint. I have conveyed my experience to all my friends and relatives alerting them not to buy any products from indiatimes shopping. I bought one 6 in 1 photoframe whose order id is 3002032938.


The photoframe was delivered on 1.3.2013. Some of the glasses along with one frame of the 6 in 1 photoframe was broken. I mailed them repeatedly along with snapshot of the damaged product and also spoke with their customer service via phone. My case id is 713382. Every time the response is the concerned team is looking into the matter. How long does it take to probe into the matter? They are simply cheating people with defective products.

Since last 3-4 months, I am in touch with Indiatimes Shopping.  During this period I purchased low value items like pen drives, books etc.  That experience was very excellent.  Hence recently, I ordered Toshiba 32" LED TV on 16th February vide Order ID 3002006975.


The estimated delivery period was 14 days.  On 17th Feb. I read the BUCK-WAAS reviews and had doubt about the delivery.  Without reacting to the reviews, I decided to wait & see the response to my order (it requires much more patience after reading such negative reviews).  On 20th Feb the position of my order was "Item has been dispatched and will receive within 2-3 days".


Unexpectedly, the item is delivered on 22nd Feb. which was well packed and new brand item.  Very nice  shopping experience with Indiatimes Shopping.

Right from customer service (or the lack of it) to the delayed/no deliveries, something or the other is messed up about this site. They should just shutdown.


Times Internet just does not have the capability of providing a good and customer friendly online experience. The times group  should just stick to selling new newspapers and magazines.

Partial Delivery, Zero Customer Support

I ordered a LG Optimus 4X HD on Indiatimes on 31st Jan, 2013 via Order No. 3001958544, it was delivered on 8th Feb, 2013. When I opened and checked everything was fine except one thing. The box had a sticker that said a LG Clip Case and Stylus was free with the product but it was not delivered.


I sent mail to them the same day and got a call for the details and a case was opened (Case ID: 677015). It mentioned resolution date as 28th Feb, 2013. Once it was registered I patiently waited till yesterday (28th Feb, 2013). Now, today (1st March, 2013) I still see the case under process. Had a chat with customer service and they are not ready to commit any date for resolution even after so many days. All they say is that they have sent a mail to concerned department and will get back to me soon. Pathetic service. Already took 18days and still no update or status for the case.


Only their prices are low which lure unsuspected, innocent people like us, then there is no service to back us up if something goes wrong. Not recommended at all.

I had ordered a Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile phone from IndiaTimes shopping website. Before ordering, I had checked out this website as well as a couple of others. While I was initially disheartened with the preponderance of negative reviews, I would like potential customers to understand a few things about ordering online:




  1. The online store tends to have an ease of ordering that is generally not present when going to a brick-and-mortar store.




  2. Several times, there are discounts available that really make shopping from online sites not just a breeze or a walk in the park but also financially rewarding.




  3. Just as with any other store in the street, this online store will do its best to ensure a fair and consistently good shopping experience for its average customer.




  4. Just as with any other store in the street, this online store has its own share of problem transactions. While several of the reasons for these problems may be out of its control, there are definitely some that are within its control.




  5. After reading some of the responses to user complaints on this site, I bought into their argument that they are taking steps to address them sincerely enough.






My own experience:




  1. After ordering from their online store, I received an immediate email confirming the order.




  2. Within a couple of days I received another email informing me that the item ordered is ready to be shipped.




  3. A day later, another email informed me that the item was shipped with DELHIVERY and the delivery confirmation number.




  4. I received the item exactly 3 days after it was shipped, as I was informed in the original shipping intimation.






My recommendation:




  1. Go ahead and place an order with this online store with the confidence that your experience will be good.




  2. If, God forbid, you do have a negative experience, contact Customer Service with the understanding that they are there to help you and that the person the phone call is not personally responsible for any problem with your order :)

They do have a customer support but they always lie and promises made are never kept. They never bother to connect to the next escalation level. In fact, they do not have any escalation matrix defined. I received a manufacturer defect product. This is not Indiatimes’s fault.


Agreed but could they have not acted maturely to my grievance to avoid the mental harassment that I had for almost a month? They indeed could but they definitively did not. Very unprofessional service.

I ordered Xperia SL(white) on 21 feb From India times shopping, after ordering I cross checked the review feedback of that website, i was stunned for a moment looking at all the Negative feedbacks .The next day I called customer care asked about my order is it confirmed or not?, he said it is confirmed but from our end it will be shipped by 2nd march & expected delivery is 7 march. One thing I want to know is that when there is stock of that phone why they do delay in delivering? they take almost 15 days.I'm bit worried and concerned about it now .


Pls any one tell me why do they delay so much in delivery the product and will it be geniune one?

Going through the reviews on mouthshut.com, it looks as if all online shopping sites are fraud and offer very bad service. But I disagree. I think the reason being - only people with bad experience care to write the reviews. Happy customers don't care once they get their due. So let me share my good experience and urge all others to share all experiences - Good as well as bad. Then only we will get clear picture about any company.


I ordered an AC on 21st Feb ; with 19% discount . And I was expecting it after 15-20 days. But to my uter surprise , it was delivered after just 2 days, ie 24th Feb. And in undamaged condition. What more can one ask.

I have ordered a Xperia SL (White) on Feb 21 13.  When I ordered, the expected delivery date I was given was march 4th. After reading so many negative feedback I am really concerned whether my order will be delivered on time. So I contacted the customer support online chat to get update on my order on 23rd Feb.As I was expecting based on the so many negative feedback, now I am told that the expected shipping date my order is 2nd march and expected delivery date is 7th March.


When asked why is take so long to ship the product which is in stock and why the expected delivery date is postponed to 7th march I was getting the same response from the customer service: "I would like to inform you that the expected delivery date is march 7th".


I really hoping my product is delivered on time and hope that the product is genuine original Xperia SL!!!

Please dont ever buy any product at indiatimes shopping. They display something else on their website and deliver something else to their customers. I had ordered for this product which clearly says car USB charger:

However, The actual product that I got was a simple wall charger(single unit). I called up customer care and I was told that the issue has been recognised and that I would get a product replacement in the next 48 hrs. However, nothing happened. I called up repeatedly, but every time the customer care guy promised me a 24hr deadline. Nothing has happened so far. Its been more than 45 days now. I then checked mouthshut, consumer forums etc. and found loads of complaints against indiatimes shopping. I would advise people not to ever again shop at Indiatimes shopping. There are loads of other trustworthy shopping websites, go for them, but never again Indiatimes shopping.

I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my valentine 2 days in advance on 12-Feb but they did not deliver it in west Delhi. I could not do anything much to get any response from them. I'm still chasing through emails, phone calls, web chats but have no reply from them. On line chat does not work at all and eventually they are not ready to refund the money as well for this non delivery. This is 100% customer dissatisfaction.


Please please please do not order anything from indiatimes shopping :-(

Indiatimes Shopping - Dispatched secondhand grill

I purchased an expensive Westinghouse Contact grill at their site two months ago in Dec'12. Not only did they dispatch a 2nd hand piece (yes second hand !!) the grill was damaged too with all the nobs completely broken beyond repair. I contacted them the same day of delivery and sent the damaged pics of the grill as requested. Since then they have been assuring me of reverse pick-up and then refund. Neither do they pick up the product nor are they refunding my Rs.7000/- .


I've escalated to all possible levels, however no refund yet. They claim the product has to reach them and only then could they refund my money !! And they dont bother to pickup the stuff !!! I had a similar experience where they kept almost 25K of my money for a months time and cancelled an LED TV order saying they don't have stock. Their strategy seems to be putting up enticing "sale" and making gullible customers make purchase and keep their money interest free for extended period and then after numerous follow-ups "refund" the money ! Good and devious strategy to raise interest fee money from unsuspecting customers !

Please don't buy any thing from this site they are cheater, I have brought a coffee maker and I got a defective pies. When I  asked them to replace it, the call center guy tells me that within 2 day we will arrange reverse pick-up. But it did not happen and after continuous calling to the customer support the arrange revere pick-up after 10 days and then then give a deadline to reshipment of same product by 8 of Feb but now 18 Feb and I am still did not get the product, each time when I call then they repet same thing within 24 hr we will resolve this issue I am not sure that when this 24 hr will complete its more then 24 day,

I purchased Panasonic TV from indiatimes and model I chose and paid for was put back for delivery 2 times, then I was told it was problem to get because it was end of line stock.cutting long story short I was kept upto date each time and then was offered upgrade to better model for same price, I live in Goa and TV came from Delhi via jet airways, well packed and in perfect order.


Please remember indiatimes must be dealing with thousands of customers each day and they are selling for other retailers, so sometimes or even most times delivery is out of their hands and most people usually only write when there is a problem and all the satisfied customer don't, Hope all customers with problems get them sorted, but my experience has so far been a very good one and are now in process of ordering a tablet through them, Good luck everyone.


I am now adding on 20/02/2013 that I have not only ordered the tablet which is in transit and due tomorrow but ordered a mobile phone on 16th Feb and received on 19th in Goa from Bangalore. I am sure I am not just a lucky person but that service can be very good from this shopping website.


I am a 100 percent genuine customer, only passing on my experience to you, anyway thanks again indiatimes keep up the good service and I will definitely keep shopping with you.

Cheats they are...Order for 14th Feb delivery was placed on 30th Jan. Still they did not process the order at all, but were shameful enough to process the payment. There is no means to escalate also. Seniors don't even attend the calls because they are not on floor.

I am going through hell while dealing with Indiatimes Shopping.I placed an order for Sony Vaio Laptop via Order # 3001985029 on 9th Feb 2013. I paid approx Rs.70, 000 for this product via credit card. Next Day, I received an email from their verification dept as they needed some documents from me as to verify my credit card which I provided them immediately.


SInce then, I have not received any further communication from them nor my order has been verified till date. I called their customer service dept but they seem to have no knowledge about my product, all they know is how to give standard replies. They informed me that they have received my payment also, I was informed by my bank that they have charged me a processing fees for converting this transaction of Rs.70, 000 in 6 emis.


Everything related to payment is done on time and Indiatimes has received the payment as confirmed by their customer service deptt, then WHY THE HELL do they not verify my order and deliver my product. Till today, my order status is stuck where it was a week ago. I have put in my hard earned money into this order. There are two things which I want Indiatimes to do: 1- They either verify my order and deliver my product or 2- They REFUND my Rs.70, 000 back.


I am getting nightmares because of the depression I am getting because of this experience, It might be a small amount for Indiatimes but for me its my hard earned money which they have already received. REFUND MY MONEY OR DELIVER MY PRODUCT. I have decided to wait for 2 more days and then I have decided to take legal action by going to the CONSUMER COURT and filing a case against this company.

I ordered a mobile phone for my mom about 2 weeks ago. Its expected delivery date was 14 Feb. I called customer service dept on 13th Feb and they registered a complaint. There has been no action on my complaint..


Expected delivery date has passed away and the product is not even shipped. They have poor logistics team and phony team customer service executives. I would suggest you to try other sites if you want the delivery of product in time.

So I bought flowers on 12th Feb and condition were clear that if we buy before 13th Feb 12 pm we will get delivery for sure on 14th and today is 14th and its 830 pm no delivery. Called customer care it/s the untrained customer care answer what I get is "by chance it will be deliver today " wow by chance. Is this how you treat your customer? I Want full refund of my money.

Ridiculous. I received item and look what I got. I ordered red carnations and received normal roses that to like 2-3 days old rose. And I saw a cake box it was smashed into half I asked what is that? he said sir wait .. I do not know what will happen to they guy who ordered a cake ..

WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE + PATHETIC DELIVERY

I bought LG Optimus L9 on 2nd February 2013. My order number is : 3001970019. Before purchasing the product I did visit mouthshut.com and read reviews. After looking into the reviews & response from Indiatimes, I felt may be few customers got some bad experience and it may not happen with me.


As the offer on Indiatimes was very attractive - Phone cost 18, 789 & discount offered 2, 818 - I was tempted in making the purchase. I bought it through my credit card.


However till date they have not even bothered to ship the product. Now I have to pay the credit card bill even though I have not got any product :(. I contacted the customer care and they merely said it will be shipped on 13th Feb. Now 13th Feb is over, now I dont understand which date they are going to fix. Look like they took the money and ran. Now I need to file a case and waste my time.


People please do not buy the product from Indiatimes. Do not get trapped by their discount offer. Pay 500 or thousand extra but buy it from a mobile store near your area


15/ 2/ 2013 - After so many complaints they have change the product status with unknown courier service "DELHIVERY" with a AWB NO. which is not traceble at all.  Even I tried to call this unheard courier company, but no body pick the call. Look like the "DELHIVERY" courier is also dummy like indiatimes shopping site.


18/2/2013- Today I can see on "DELHIVERY" website that my shipment reached Pune. Hopefully, I will get my product in good condition.


19/2/2013 (2:40 PM) - I am still waiting for my product. I do not understand how much time it takes for them to deliver it (their courier office is around 8 KM from my address). YOU CAN SHOP WITH INDIA TIMES ONLY IF YOU ARE READY FOR A MENTAL HARASSMENT & IF YOU ARE READY TO GET YOUR PRODUCT AFTER A MONTH TIME. The courier service not bother to pick the calls. Tried n number of times.
