Late buses -

Sambhaji nagar shivneri - boarding time 9:00am leaves at 9:45.

People with no tickets get into bus at ahmednagar, conductor allows them to get into bus later asks them to get off as he suspects some onln bookings available - 30mins wasted in this nonsense.

ACs non functional

Arrogance - Rude bus driver and conductor.

Never keep change. Always promise to return the balance and never return. Balance upto 5 rs is never returned to passenger even after promising. They don't want to keep online payments. Imagine how much extra money they are keeping of the passengers. Ticket cost is never constant. Bus is untidy. Private buses are far better. This would be my last travelling by shivneri.

Best way to pay high and get bad treatment. Too high ticket, arrogant conductors. Rs 610 from goregaon to pune, while you will get sleeper private bust between 300-400. Third class service, almost empty, expensive but still conductors treating you as if you are traveling free. Perfect example of a government service. Conductor was asking exact cash for odd ticket 610, I asked conductor if I can pay online. He arrogantly said, what's problem ? to travel with this bus you must bring exact cash, "everyone does that". I said, it may not be always possible, it would have been better to have online payment, he arrogantly kept repeating, "everyone does that" ( everyone comes with exact cash, for travelling with this bus).

One passanger asked approximate time to reach, he kept arrogantly repeating "I can't say, 5 hours is scheduled time"

Mobile charger was not working on many seats. Even when I changed seat and connected charger it was very slow, not enough power.

Only 8-9 people were travelling in this bus.This service is just wastage of public money, both ways travellers as well as taxpayers. This service is just to support arrogant, inefficient employees and corrupt politicians and officers.

If can't operated well, this service should be closed, rather than cheating people

Been travelling from Pune to Mumbai and back by Shivneri since 2012.

Over the years their service has really dropped in quality.

AC don't work. The buses are really slow

I mean really, a 6pm bus from Swargate and at 8pm we are still at Wakad.. don't take these buses after 4pm. They'll get stuck in traffic but even on the express way they are slow.

We are priorly booked the seats but we didn't get seats and buses are very late

The worst to travel ! I am travelling in it for 6 years now but it's never clean. They charge alot and there's no cleanliness at all

So I am a resident of Pune and I am currently located in Mumbai so I keep travelling now and then to Pune and forth. Shivneri so far has been the worst experience. So bad that I am writing a review inside the bus itself. These people waste endless hours of people. It's been 4 hours it started from borivali and I've reached khargar yet. The issue isn't traffic only but it is stopping at every stop in particular like literally to have every single seat filled. I've been through sleeper busses they charge 350 and these people ask for 525 or so. I missed my work and it caused me heavy loss. And never trust these people never drops you on time. Lastly then don't have stops in Mumbai for one to use washroom like none and if you by any chance ask them and step down while passengers are coming in they will rush the bus . You be back or don't todays experience.

I often travel on shivneri. On board experience is fine. But the halt it takes for coffee etc is really bad experience. Wonder why it doesn't halt at decent joints.

I was booked on the 10 am Shivneri bus from Swargate to Borivali.I waited and waited but the bus didn't come. The enquiry counter fellow was least helpful and feigned ignorance. Many other Shivneri buses for Dadar and Thane were leaving, but for this bus. Finally after waiting for 2 hours when the bus came there was huge commotion since the passengers of 3 buses had to be accommodated. This has happened several times with me.

My earnest advice is to go by private buses only.

Worst Service

I am traveling from Thane to Stargate today but AC is not working properly.

All passengers are facing hassle and also seat button for to and fro movement is also not working.

AC is not working at all but rate is taken by 520 only.

Today i am travelling by Neeta travels Pune to mumbai. They have given us a bus with AC service not functioning. They cheated us... while travelling on express highway we all came to know about. They have done drama if repairing...all stuff and Ac was not at all repaired and travel time delayed. Neeta travel cheat the travellers. Its worst experinced i have faced with them.

I take this bus service every time I go to Pune. But lately the prices have been increasing and their service quality plummeting.

The govt. employees don't care for your urgency, as it is with all govt. offices. And surprisingly, one of them was trying to pilfer and save the newspaper that we were to get. Had to ask him to give us the newspaper. Also, the same person didn't give us an extra water bottle upon asking. So, overall a bad experience. Shivneri you cannot overlook travellers' comfort and safety just because you're well-known name and claim money out of us.

Reserved two seats from pune to mumbai. They cancelled the 8.00 am bus and thought of directly sending the 8.30 bus as scheduled. The passengers were not informed and had to wait for more than an hour. When the bus finally came there were seats barely available in the last row. The route had been changed which the conducted conveniently forgot to tell us. While returning the same day, we waited for 2 long hours this time as they cancelled the bus again. That’s very professional of them.

The ticket fair is way higher side I mean this is not value for the money.

Taking almost Four hours to reach destination.

Food mall halt is 20 to 25 minimum and this should be only 10 min max.

Never depart on time.

Last month I was suppose to go Mumbai. As soon as I reached pune station many private car agents started approaching but I straight went to MSRTC shivneri booking counter after being seated I was surprised to see only four seats occupied first I thought departure would be delayed as it was very low turn out for journey and supposed time to start was 1:00 pm, I enquired with driver who told bus will start BT 1:05pm and it actually did, where as private bus operators never make it on time even if they have few vacant seats, good service by MSRTC and also cooperative staff

I have used the Shivneri Bus Service(Mumbai/Pune/Mumbai) several times and am very happy to share that it is a very impressive service and more and more people should use it. I have stopped using private cars completely even while travelling with my 7 year old twin boys.

Positive:

1. Shivneri is an extremely safe and comfortable bus ride.

   
   




2. Seats, windows, curtains, footrests, belts, overhead luggage bins, 2 mobile charging points for each row etc. are all fairly well maintained.

   
   




3. I feel safer travelling in a big, steady bus like this than by private cars. Sharp bends, turns, bumpy roads etc. are hardly felt.

   
   




4. The drivers and conductors are well-behaved, friendly and helpful.

   
   




5. They even call pre-booked passengers to check/confirm where they are waiting. It has been my experience at least and I was always at my stop on time, yet they checked with me.

   
   




6. No stops besides what is recorded on the website. No random passengers picked up along the way which is the case with another travel company I used once.

   
   




7. Routes are very well planned, central and can serve maximum travellers.

   
   




8. By and large punctual though could do much better.

   
   




9. Food court stop is strictly 15 minutes or 5 minutes, whichever they announce.

   
   




10. Website works very well.

    
    




11. Pre-booking as well as on the spot booking is hassle-free.

    
    




12. Very well-trained drivers who never over-speed and are very careful on the road.

    
    




13. Costing for the safety of travel and comfort of AC, lights, luggage space, good seats that can also be reclined is very reasonable.

    
    

Suggestions for improvement:

1. Toll-free number is always busy and needs to be retried numerous times.

   
   




2. There is always a 15 to 30 minute delay in the bus reaching the boarding point. Eg. The bus that should reach Vanaz depot in Pune at 1.40pm has never come before 2pm/2.05pm. This is mostly attributed to traffic which is beyond the driver's control but is definitely an area of improvement.

   
   




3. There is no information on the bus number or the driver's/conductor's contact number which makes it difficult for passengers to check status.

   
   




4. Free GPS tracking should be made available.

   
   




5. Free wifi should be made available inside the bus while travelling.

   
   




6. A basic toilet needs to be set up in some part of the bus as this may be needed often by infants/toddlers or aged travellers.

   
   




7. Once online booking is confirmed, the boarding stop or nearest depot's phone number should be available to the passenger. The staff there should be well-informed about the bus's travel status.

   
   




8. There are no sign-boards or clear directions for the bus stop. Many times I have had to struggle to locate the Powai Talav bus stop. Some clear and bold arrows indicating these would be of great help.
