Shaadi No.1 Songs Movie Reviews

Jitne Channel TV Ke, Utne Nakhre Biwi Ke
Oct 22, 2005 10:55 PM2298 Views

I have been anxiously awaiting this album. First of all because it's a David Dhawan film. Secondly it is said that Anu has brought some loud music, and I love loud music. Lyrics are by Sameer.

Chand Ko Tod Doonga - Abhijeet, Anuradha Sriram.

This is a good start of the album. The music is loud just as promised. Along with some creative https://lyrics. You don't hear much Abhijeet songs anymore, but when he comes around, he leaves his mark. Anuradha is perfect as the female voices.

Jitne Channel TV Ke - Sonu Nigam, Krishna.

Absolutely the best song in the album. Sonu has gone all out in this song. Along with rocking music, and funny lyrics, the song works.

God Promise Dil Dola - Rahul Valdya, Shreya Ghosal

This song is full dose of lots of Anu's older songs. Tumse Milke from Main Hoon Na.and there's also another song I can't quite figure out. Anyways Rahul impressed along with Shreya they sing this song well.

Hello Madam, I'm Your Adam-Rahul Valdya, Prajakta Shukre

The Indian Idols impress. For one of their first playback songs you would think they're professionals.

Dil Nahin Toda Karte-Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan

This is an average song. The beat not as rocking and lyric's not as impressive. Shaan does well though. So does Sunidhi.

Ayashi Ayashi-Shaan, DJ Aqeel, Sanjeev

Music: DJ Aqeel-Sanjeev Lyrics:Shabbir Ahmed

This is supposed to be the title song. Well the beat is rocking. Sounds a lot like a remix but it's not. This one will be played in clubs a lot. Shaan impresses. He goes all out for this one. Aqeel and Sanjeev impress with both their music and vocals.

All in all this soundtrack has some rocking/hilarious numbers like Jitne Channel TV Ke,also Hello Madam. Don't expect to like this soundtrack to be a fan of music (unless you like loud music), this is just a sit back and relax album

9/10

Mass-ala Music by Malik!
Sep 22, 2005 10:49 PM7965 Views

With the glossary of lyrics featuring ‘God, Adam, Remote Control, MTV, Biwi, Love Ka Season, Reason, Channel, Dil Bola’, please don’t expect staying power tunes. Have some fun, relax and go the gym! This album is not meant for too serious people or music lovers. David Dhawan selected peppy and mass-oriented tunes. Ever heard of laughing therapy? Please buy this album if you know someone or it's you, who needs such a treatment because this one will do perfectly. Anu Malik and Sameer are around while DJ Aqueel supports in a 'djing' way.

Chand Ko Tod Doonga

Abhijeet, Anuradha Sriram

David Dhawan should realise that Govinda is no more ruling and gone are these days with Coolie No.1’s music. Well this one is oriented to the masses but it is mediocre! There is no need to wait for the melody. Abhijeet and Anuradha engage in the singing but the tune doesn’t support them. Even the music arrangements are loud and messy. It’s good to listen to this one while eating ice-cream.

Supposedly a rehash of Biwi No.1’s ’Chunari Chunari’ by Abhijeet and Anuradha Sriram but it is a disappointment.

God Promise, Dil Dola

Rahul Vaidya, Shreya Ghoshal

God Promise what? It was said that Anu Malik knows the pulse of Bollywood and let me confirm that! It has all the needed techno beats, melody, pop sounds and masala music to appeal to the masses! A stupid title turned out into a listenable track. Indian Idol’s Rahul Vaidya impresses here. Malik ensures proper punch and plays agilely with the guitar sounds in the antra. One thing is sure that it is an in and out Anu Malik tune! Super-hit!

Rehash: The prelude musical beats are direct lifts from Badaal’s ‘Yaar Mera Yaara’ and Main Hoon Na’s ‘Tumse Milke Dil’. They are spread throughout the piece. It is also a mix of ‘No Entry’ songs.

Hello Madam, I’m Your Adam

Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre

A woman screaming, in whichever situation, sets the tone. Anu then makes a small alaap with his synthesized voice. But tell me, how can he compose something with these words? No substance at all but just singing by the Rahul Vaidya, sounding too too much like Sonu Nigam. The second interlude has a latin flavour to it which captured my attention for a few seconds but alas! Arrangements are typical David Dhawan's specifications for a mass-orientated song. Indian Idol finalist Prajakta Shukre does an okay job. Passable! Let’s sing together! So he goes ‘Hello Madam, I’m Your Adam’ and she goes ‘Hello Adam, I’m Your Madam’…

Supposedly a rehash of Haseena Maan Jayegi’s ‘What is your mobile number’ by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik.

Dil Nahin Toda Kar Te

Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan

Oh now we have a song properly composed! Thank God that Shaan comes to bring some musical dimension to this album. However, the 90’s guitar of Anu strikes again like in ‘Judwaa’. A conversation-type song with some fluidity till the end and which is quite enjoyable. Though the tune is pretty easy and cool, it is saved by the professional singing. A small observation again: Sameer got a typical song to compose and he can’t start a song without the word ‘dil’ and listen to ‘Wanna touch, wanna feel, say what you want’…

Rehash: The same guitar sound was used for Bachke Rehna Re Baba’s ‘Dil Churane Wale’ by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik and if listened deeply, it’s the same tune with minor adjustments.

Jitne Channel TV Ke, Utne Nakhre Biwi Ke

Sonu Nigam, Krishna

It seems like a REMIX but a total chaotic musical remix, more precisely. Sonu Nigam gets horrible lines to sing and Krishna does worst! Then there is this chorus; please! Catastrophic track! If composed for a situation, then it can click! Hilarious in some places with connection like ‘remote’ and 'biwi’!

Rehash: None because it is trash itself.

Aiyashi Aiyashi

Composed by DJs Aqueel-Sanjeev and sung by Shaan. Written by Shabbir Ahmed

Anu Saab was angry when he knew that they roped in DJ Aqueel for this song! Beats wise, it can work in clubs and may land in a few remix albums because the DJ has experience. Melody wise, it fails flat! This confirms that DJs’ mind work in remixing and not composing. This one is meant to rock and the words 'Aiyashi Aiyashi' might do the trick because the way they pronounced it, is catchy. Overall this one is short but peppy and fizzy!

The Dhawan-Bhagnani-Malik team delivered chartbusters and crazy music in the past but not here! They tried to rehash their old hits. Even the songs are funny and peppy; the beats are from 'Judwaa', the tunes from 'No Entry’ and ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’ and the singers from Indian Idol and from the mentioned albums mostly. Lyrics are funny but not hilariously used to set the mood. Title song is missing! Shaadi No.1: not a good musical start to this shaadi!

=> Love Story No. 1 <=
Sep 22, 2005 08:14 PM4642 Views

Hi friends,

Get ready for the love story of the year. After 1942 - A Love Story by Vidhu vinod Chopra, it’s time for 2005 - A Love Story by Aliasgar Poonawala. The effect of three happy-go-lucky guys gradually falling in the trap of what we call love is what the story is all about! A good producer, by the name Vashu Bhagnani, has made a film called ’’Shaadi No.1’’ to illustrate the happenings of their life in a chronological manner! Anu Malik, DJ Aqeel and Sanjeev, as music directors, help these unfortunate ones to vent out their feelings in better tunes. Wanna know what happens and how? Get going...

-------

Heard Chain Khuli Ki Main Khuli of ’’Masti’’ fame? Just like the three guys out there, we have the three ones out here [Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Sharman Joshi] who take life as it comes. Fully unaware of their duties and stuff like that, they are complete ayashs, singing Ayashi Ayashi right in the middle of the road, and hunting for girls whom they can make a fortune with. They are self-confident, and desire to make it big one day, with which they can confidently propose to the ones they still only dream of!

Shaan, DJ Aqeel and Sanjeev lend their vocals to the characters, though may not be respectively. A sure shot hit in the discs, it will appeal to th Gen-X crowds like anything. More so due to the identifiable situations these guys find themselves in!

-------

They now find a gal for their own need now! But they are unaware of how to take the initiative. They do not get as of how do they begin their feelings. Once done, they’ll manage it. They’re sure about it! Suddenly one of them gets an SMS from a friend saying Chand Ko Tod Doonga, Suraj Ko Mod Doonga, Tu Ek Baar Jo Haan Keh De, Main Pehli Waali Chod Doonga. They decide to make a song out of it and sing it to their beloved. They excellently combine the old-SMS joke into a wonderful music piece, and come up with an excellent tune! They want something new in life, being fed up with the old routine stuff! The girls under question reciprocates in the same way, who is also ready to leave the pehla wala for their sake!

Abhijeet features in the fun-filled number, that will be a craze of the youngsters in the days to come! Anuradha Sriram sings for the females [Esha Deol, Ayesha Talkia, Soha Ali Khan - Rated as per Trusted Circle] and makes the song for a good listen, lest the love story ends before it has even begun!

-------

So far so good. The initial impression created by them didn’t melt into thin air. The gals were impressed, so they needed to keep up the tempo to make the gals feel that their first step wasn’t merely a fluke! So after that meeting, there came the time to introduce themselves to them. So they go on to say Hello madam, I am your Adam. They claim that God had sent the girls to the already-overpopulated Earth just for they guys, and the guys were created, just for them darling! The girls appreciate the effort of the guys, and they revert back in the same way, telling them in simple words that it wasn’t that hard for them to leave a mark at this stage! The guys promise to even talk to their fathers once they get the consent of all that matters!

Indian Idols Rahul Vaidya and Prajakta Shukre, get their promised break by Anu Malik in this one, and they make sure that neither of the group [guys, gals] are left unsatisfied after there is reason to come close in the love ka season. All have been lucky so far...

-------

As the secret-meetings and the minor formalities are over now, both the sides openly declare their love for each other by singing God Promise Dil Dola, and the guys admit that they fell head over their paragon the moment they saw them for the first time. The time was now ripe to clear all the things about each other, and live peacefully. The gradual transformation from the flirt to the supposedly-love is bought about by their statements. Love is spread all over... The days of happiness are looking forward to them. Their jawani was now impossible to spend without each other. All of them can see nothing but their partner.

Rahul Vaidya gets yet another number, while Shreya goshal does the honour for the playback for the actresses! The music arrangement is hip, and the beats are highly controlled! A good one to woo your sweetheart in a light manner.

Saurabdi saurabdi...

-------

The unfortunate days await them [guys]. The happiness they were experiencing after the acceptance of their gals was short-lived; it was a lull before the storm effect. They decide to get married! For what good reason, even they didn’t know. Probably they mistook marriage to be a child’s play! Anyhow, all were quite content on the D-day, but as the bad days were welcoming them, they realized their folly soon after marriage!

What did they realize? That Jitne Channel T.V. ke, Utne Nakhre Biwi Ke... T.V. Chale remote se, Biwi Chale Note Se They however, agree that given one has the money, a wife is a good thing to happen! One should never change biwis as the channel of the T.V. One has to take it, according to them, to make their B&W TV’s to colour ones by filling in some useful stuff! Some knowledgeful facts in the end: Never deceive the wives, as they, however demanding, will stand by you through the thick and thin of life!

Sonu Nigam and Krishna provide some fun-laden stuff to this joyful number. After Ek Kunwara Phir Gaya Maara from ’’Masti’’, this one’s gonna be the new song in the wedding of the town!

-------

Fast forward a few years. The initial hiccups were experienced by both sides in the first few months of their marriage, but they had now realized that life was all about compromising and adjusting. They now do believe in the theory that Dil Nahi Toda Karte, Saath Nahi choda Karte.. Zara Zara Si Baat Mein. They get the point that there was pain, all that needed was medicine. There do exist certain differences in their ideologies and all, but they more than make up for it with their nature. Their are zara zara problems in their lives, as in any other mortals, but they do pass out the phase with ease.

Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan lend able support to their rock-steady marriage! And they live happily ever after...

-------

And to know more about their happiness, and to feel yourself in the driver’s seat, do tighten your seat belts, raise the volume to the full level and burn the dance floor...
