Seventeen Degrees Hotel, Dhanbad

Hotel Seventeen Degrees is a 3 star rated hotel in the city of Dhanbad and among the very few star rated hotels that this place possesses.

Located in Sri Ram Mall, Ashok Nagar, the Seventeen Degrees boasts of an elite services to its guests at an affordable price.

Recently I had booked a room in this hotel for my boss owing to an important business meeting, but the opinions my boss had regarding this hotel wasn't favourable at all.Few reasons why this hotel is not worth the price it shares and the Hotel Skylark, opposite of the Ozone Plaza, Bank More is a better alternative to this hotel are:

1.) Poor Maintenance and Lack of a better infrastructure - Being a resident of Dhanbad for the last 20 years, I had passed by this hotel and everytime it went un-noticed. The hotel is located in the Sri Ram Mall and is hardly the 3-star kind you would expect. The building is moderate in comparison to a hotel of this stature and is equivalent to any 2-star rated hotel. Moreover, the only relevance of a hotel named Seventeen Degrees existing in the region is a very tiny plastic boarding which is pretty cheap by all standards. Besides, the hotel is not well maintained and lacks a proper lustre and appearance from external point of view. The paints and decors are shabby and poorly kept.

2.) Expensive yet not Satisfactory - A night spent in the Seventeen Degrees costs around Rs. 5000. This is very high owing to the city and the Hotel Skylark which provides better services than this hotel and is a 3-star rated hotel as well, has a booking for only Rs.4000 per night. Even though Seventeen Degrees costs a fortune, the services are not satisfactory. My boss often complained about the hotel being too noisy and messy. Surprisingly, the room service bell was under maintenance during my boss' stay which really annoyed him. Other than this, one of the most irritating complaints regarding the hotel is its lack of staff. Often there are a very few staffs in the hotel which makes in a for a huge rush in crowded hours.

3.) Food is average - When the decoration isn't something worth looking at, only one thing can solve all the problems - a good and delicious food. I had a dinner with my boss here and trust me, Cucoon is a far better choice when it comes to food in this region. The prices are same and taste is far better than what I had in here. The starter menu which mainly consisted of Chicken snackers and french fries were good. Then comes the main course. It wasn't something remarkable. Just an average cook in an expensive avatar. So was the dessert. Overall, the food presentation is good and food quality is average. They can do far better than this.

Recommendation - Ask me if you should book a room in this hotel and I would say no. One, because it is expensive and you won't be pleased if you have visited better hotels. Second, it is just a 3-star named hotel, there is nothing so 3-star special about it. And finally, Hotel Skylark is a far better choice for a comfortable stay. So skip it if you can. And never book a room in this hotel for your boss, you might lose your job.

Seventeen degrees hotel is one of the fine and well maintained. that too very  nicely built hotel I have seen in the place.with nice gentry and good polite staff.

Well it is situated in  the main city. which can be easily reached by road. saying about  the ambience of the hotel. the look and the interiors of the hotel is worth having a look.the decor is beautiful and the atmosphere there is pleasant. About the rooms.

They are spacious. well organised with good and clean bathrooms. and bed covers.assuring you remain comfortable in all aspects. And the snacks and meals served there is. delicious and mouth watering. makes you eat more and more.Overall you will be completely satisfied spending your money there.getting the full value of it.
