I recently watched this show and I would say it is THE BEST show.

Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta Story is completely based on a real life incidents happened during the period of 1979 - 2001. It shows the scams and frauds that happened in Indian share Market, Banks and Indian money market and how all this happened?

In the show you will come to know how it all get started, how Harshad played his game, how he managed to manipulate everyone and how he created his fortune from zero. Who helped him in his plans?

Scam 1992 by Hansal Mehta, is one of the most ‘edu-taining’ web series in recent times. Valuable efforts have been taken in simplifying the banking terminologies for layman’s understanding.

The USP lies in the screenplay focusing majorly on content(the nitti-grities of the fraud & the system overall), and less dependence on cinematic liberty.

The dialogues by Vaibhav Vishal & Karan Vyas topped up with pop culture references from the nostalgic 90s, add to the retro flavor. From the role development perspective, every character is grey, and agenda driven like real world people, all credit to Hansal and Sumit Purohit.

Background score, and apt usage of 90s hindi film songs at relevant places are in sync with the narrative.

Performances wise, Pratik Gandhi literally mesmerizes you with his charismatic aura and strong screen presence. He is ably backed by Hemant Kher(as Ashwin Mehta), Shreya Dhanwanthary(Sucheta Dalal) and Anjali Barot(Jyoti Mehta).

Veterans Ananth Mahadevan, Satish Kaushik, Lalit Parimoo, Rajat Kapoor, Vivek Vaswani, K. K Raina, Nagesh Bhosale play their roles perfectly, adding immense value to the narrative.

Nikhil Dwivedi, Shadab Khan, Jaimini Pathak, Chirag Vohra, Rajesh Jais leave a strong impact through their parts.

Overall, SCAM 1992 is a thoroughly engaging & intriguing adaptation of the Basu – Dalal chronicle.

Definitely a must watch, esp. for those from banking, finance and economics background. Could easily be called as Hansal Mehta’s best works till date

It is a must watch. The director is Hansal Mehta who has done a great job. All the actors have performed nicely. The content is good. I have given 5 stars and it deserves it. There is not a single dull moment in the entire series. They have shown 80s and 90s in the exact same way. Kudos to the team and Sony Liv.
