This is about Sanjeevani Food & Beverages(M.K.T.) with their Godown address given as Teeka House, at Malad(W). I'm not sure if they have any other business place.
They are the worst suppliers for mineral water in my experience.
I had been purchasing O2 rise mineral water for our office from over a year. But as I had to shift to another location in, our regular water supplier suggested another supplier - Sanjeevani Food & Beverages(MKT) located at Malad West.
Owing to my field of work which involves client visits, etc. my work timings are not fixed and I have to the office is occasionally closed for part of the day. Hence, I have always booked the water jars a day in advance so that the supplier can deliver the same the next morning and there is no inconvenience to them also. On previous occasions, there has been delay in delivering the same, but this time they have gone too far.
On the evening of 3rd October I booked the water jars as usual and was told by the lady staff that it would arrive the next morning.
When I called to remind them in the morning(which I have had to do many times in the past), the same lady said that it will be delivered in some time and their delivery vehicle is on the way. I had to call for the 2nd time after more about an hour, and then she said that their vehicle has broken down somewhere near our office but the water jars will be delivered in some time. This same story was repeated to me each time I called. I again called to say that we have closed the office for some time but left the empty jars outside so that they can replace the same.
Upon returning at about 4.30 pm, the empty jars were still lying outside. I again called the supplier when the same lady checked said that the delivery vehicle had broken down in another area & not ours, hence they could not supply the water.
The company's website says'The Company is directly supplying Packaged Drinking Water to big corporate offices and industries. The Company have large distribution network in all over the India. With its large marketing team and distribution channel network its capture 20% of market area. Only 1 broken down truck & they are helpless! Or is it that they differentiate between'small' &'big' customers?
Anyway, till then I had somehow managed control my anger. I reprimanded her for the unprofessional behavior. She immediately passed on the phone to her male colleague who spoke arrogantly saying that the water will be delivered the next morning ie on 5th Oct. I asked for a return of my deposit as I could not wait the entire day in my office just for them to come when they please, I am also a business person just as he is! He replied that would deliver the water and also refund my deposit!
The next morning(5th October) I again called their office and the lady said that the delivery van has left & the water will be delivered to us in some time. As I only wanted my deposit back, I did not speak with her & waited for the delivery boys to come so that I could claim my deposit back.
At 1.30 pm my colleague called their office to sort out the matter, but the male staff answered the phone, said that we have been lying that we were in office the whole day yesterday, which I had never claimed! When told to check with the lady staff about being informed that the office would be closed for a few hours, he immediately retracted his earlier claim and said that we were lying about the empty jars being kept outside when the office was closed! Need I say who the liar is?
Furthermore, he refused to listen to anything that my colleague had to say, but went on ranting about how I had spoken to him the earlier evening'Jaise usne humko khareed liya hai' - these were his words! Finally, he said that they will not supply water to us anymore. Seeing such lack of business etiquette and not able to tolerate the insensible ranting and blaming, my colleague said ok, we also did not want to continue & disconnected the phone.
Over and above this, the lady gave us false assurance this morning about the water being delivered the same day! Why did she say this if they had no intention of doing so!
Never once did any of offer an apology. On the contrary, they behaved as if they were the aggrieved party.
So much hassle for just bottled water! This is how they run their business! Forget about'Customer is king', going by their attitude & indifference, they think customer are fools and are to be kicked around!
Upon enquiring for another packaged water supplier from my peers and business associates, I was surprised to know that I am not the only one aggrieved by their arrogance and lack of understanding of customer requirements! One can easily see the consequences gross customer dissatisfaction!
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
