Sanju Baba MBBS
Jul 18, 2005 05:57 AM 4152 Views

Sanju MBBS stands for Sanju---Marvellous, Brilliant, Best, and Sensational! Sanju Baba has had his share of problems when it comes to personal life. Parental demise, wife's demise, what not! If that sounds less, he has spent a hell lot of time in jail. But look at what he's done for the public in return...a bunch of entertainment that only he can provide. Simply put, Sanju Baba is one of a kind!

When he rose to fame with an outstanding negative role in Khalnayak, he prove he can overshadow Madhuri's dancing prowess and Jackie Shroff's Jaggu man image singlehandedly. Unfortunately he ended up in jail and a lot other actors got the opportunity to take over until 1998...the year he made his comeback. Sanju's comeback was heavily anticipated with movies like Daud but as soon as they bombed, people thought he has lost his touch. Hell no they were wrong! It took time for him to come into his groove but he came back and how! His Vaastav was anticipated as another dud, but it turned out to be a run for the money for makers of Satya and China Gate (two famous gangster movies). Sanjay Dutt was back with a BANG! He proved that by winning the best actor award that year! Aamir Khan's Sarfarosh act also had a run for its money as he failed to take all away from Sanjay in 1999 movie awards!

People still thought Baba was more of a typecast gangster type guy and his performance was good only because he gave it realistically by learning such things about life in jail. He had to fight the odds and how did he! He did a romantic role in Chal Mere Bhai to a helluva perfection! The actual hero Sallu Bhai was forced to try his best to match Dutt's steps! People were only encouraged to be his fans by this one! His gangster label was starting to come off and Sanju the actor was in the works. Movies like Pitaah (serious role), Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (action), Kurukshetra (thriller), and Baaghi (dynamic) might've gone unnoticed at the BO but Dutt demonstrated his versitality in all sorts of roles, except one, COMEDY!

He had to prove that he has the laughing pill in his bag of performances all the time! Despite heavy doubts on his ability, he gave a Haseena Maan Jaayegi, where he matched comedy king Govinda step to step. He added another masterful show stealing performance in 2002's Hum Kisise Kum Nahin where his comic skills lead those of AB sr., Ajay Devgan, and Aishwarya Rai. Dutt showed he was big time IN when he was the only one to overshadow a rising Hrithik Roshan in ''Mission Kashmir''! Then he added Jodi No.1 to his list of comedies with Govinda, and it became another hit giving him a 2 on 2 with Govinda! Then he came in the beginning of 2003 to give Ek aur Ek Gyarah, again with Govinda, making it an average success too (success trilogy between the two)!, despite all negative criticism of the movie. This time he established that Sanju the actor was far made and Sanju the star too was born well before time. Sanju's starpower continued to hammer his critics when his heavily criticised Hathyar released to packed houses just because it was labeled Vaastav II. Hathyar recovered investment just because it had SANJAY DUTT! What added to the guy's BIG list of hits was Kaante, a movie in which he was a huge winner along with Mahesh Manjrekar---both had awesome roles and dialogues that blew the houses apart! Then people waited all year to see Dutt.

Many of his detractors might've thought that the guy would come back and use only his starpower in a dud of a movie. But a big BIG NOOO for that! Why? We all know what happened right before the end of the year 2003. People already thought Kal Ho Naa Ho, Koi Mil Gaya, Tere Naam, these would be the only contenders for big awards. How wrong, just coz Dutt was out 10 months they ruled him out. He reminded them what awards are all about. Munnabhai MBBS, arguably Dutt and his movie crew's biggest triumph, saw the world shake with applause as it made its entry into all major award shows and also swept some like best supporting, best comedian, and best director! Dutt's starpower enabled us to also notice brilliant talents like Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, and Rajkumar Hirani, who with a lower lead star could've gone unnoticed! 2004 opened with Plan (rumored like Kaante part II) bombing the BO, just because Dutt had a lesser role. His casters new his fans need to see more of him so every Dutt movie HAS to be a DUTT movie.Period...no Rohit Roy, Bikram Saluja or any lesser actor could walk away with a bigger role.

Dutt then did some other decent movies in 2004 until making the REAL impact yet again in apparently the REAL Kaante part II, Musafir! He rocked the show as BILLA and his dance steps rocked with the same magnitude. Songs like Ishq Samundar, M Bole to, and Saaki Saaki established him as the male KING of item numbers too. So versatile that at the same end his decent guy romantic performance as GIRISH in Parineeta has been appreciated like crazy! The movie has also turned out to be another big Sanjay Dutt success. His fan following has got unstoppable and oh well, you can see in 2005 how DUS has opened to packed houses. Sanju Baba is again one of the prominent reasons! So keep it up Sanjay, more is awaited, especially in Munnabhai meets Mahatma Gandhi!

Overall, Dutt is truly a 5 star actor, a top class material and a lot of Moutshut readers have doubted him for personal reasons. All I want to tell them is that this guy had about a decade less to prove his talent than many others of his generation. Yet anyday he can look more stylish, more hulky, and more dynamic than not only people of his own gen. (Sunil Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff) but also some of the newer generation (Shahid Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham)! So watch out people, make way for Sanju Baba to rock your socks off!

Sanjay's father SUNIL DUTT IS NO M0RE
May 25, 2005 02:08 PM 4058 Views

I heard the news that SUNIL DUTT is no more today (25th May 2005). I wanted to write something about the great actor. As his name was not available in the movie personalities I have used his Son's frame to focus on his father, Sorry SANJAY, I will come to you later.

Sunil Dutt was born on 6th June 1929 in Khurd village, which is now in Pakistan. After partition they migrated to India and settled in Haryana. He cam to Mumbai and joined The Jai Hind College, he worked part time also to meet his needs. By stroke of luck he got associated with the British advertising agency Keymers which bought him links with various film personalities.

After graduating Dutt starred in his first film Railway platform, It was Ek Hi Raasta produced by B.R.Chopra which really bought Sunil Dutt into lime light, But it was Mother India produced by Mehboob Khan which really bought laurels to Suil Dutt it also resulted in his marriage with Nargis. Sunil Dutt reigned supreme in the sixties and Seventies his starrers included many classics like Waqt ,Humraaj ,Milan ,Meherbaan etc., He had also acted in the movie Yaadein which had only one character in the film. Sunil Dutt was also involved production of films, he produced Reshama aur Shera. In spite of many young stars thronging the film industry Sunil Dutt kept going in films like Zaakhmee, Jaani Dushman etc., His films with Nutan Sujata ,Milan stand out for there original and path breaking plots of that era.

When he discovered that his beloved wife Nargis is suffering from cancer he started losing his interest in films and began taking care of her. When Nargis died in 1981 Sunil Ditt was a shattered man but the thing that kept him going was his to will to fight the dreaded disease which killed Nargis. He established Nargis Dutt Foundation which is helping many hospitals in battling the disease. He was totally involved in many social activities which resulted him becoming a successful politician. He was a Member of Parliament after getting elected to Lok Sabha from Mumbai on Congress Ticket.

He joined his beloved wife on the morning of 25th May 2005, but his journey to the eternal place has created a void here which can never be filled

May his soul rest in peace

The Underrated Genius
May 16, 2005 01:46 PM 2890 Views

Some years ago ….I remember…it was the concluding day of one tough exam season. In the evening, I was very happy that at least for some days the ‘TV remote control’ would be mine!!!

That night I watched a movie titled “Gumrah”. Sreedevi and Sanjay Dutt were the lead actors. After that movie, my opinion about Dutt was completely changed!

I discovered that I had been prejudiced.

Who is the best actor of Hindi cinema? If you ask this to a Keralite, most probably the answer will be ‘Aamir Khan’ or ‘Anil Kapoor’. I have mentioned this fact in my review on ‘the 5-best actors of Hindi cinema’. I too was no different. Earlier I have watched movies like ‘Rockey’, ‘Khal Nayak’ and ‘Sajan’ starring ‘Sanjay Dutt’. I hated him first because of the news about his drug addiction (In the 1980s), and then by those about the underworld links and that arrest. But now he is my favorite Hindi actor!

No other Hindi actor of today can match his skill and range. Some people say, “He is the ultimate gangster and nothing else”. But believe me that is not his mistake. He is typecast by the film makers. Even in those roles you can see him acting so accurately. Once Priyadarshan said about Mohan Lal that he never acts but behaves as the character in front of the camera! One can say the same about Sanjay Dutt. If you have any doubt, watch the scenes of ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ in which he shares the screen with Boman Irani or those of ‘Khoobsurat’ in which he forces himself to conceal his love for Urmila. He is effortless as Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor or Akshaye Khanna. But Akshay Kumar turns a bit artificial in places, Anil Kapoor lacks aggression and not imposing as Dutt and Akshaye Khanna is not able to conceal his introversion. Dutt is natural as Mohan Lal. In multi star films like Musafir, Kante, Deewar, Mission Kashmir etc., he surpassed all the others.

You cannot forget his character even when you can’t remember the plot of the film.

My favourite films

1.Vaastav.

The story is very similar to that of the Malayalam films ‘Abhimanyu’ and ‘Aryan’ starring Mohan Lal. The happy go lucky fellow ends up as a most wanted gangster and gets trapped by the police. Sanjay Dutt expressed the ecstasy and agony of being a gangster … touching, unforgettable.

2.Munnabhai MBBS

What a timing in acting! Should be followed by actors like Suniel Shetty who lacks it very much. Thanks to Raj Kumar Hirani for replacing SRK by Sanjay Dutt.

And so we got one ‘Munnabhai’ instead of a ‘Munni bahan’ !!!

3.Khoobsurat

This film is similar to Munnabhai in certain aspects. I meant the ‘tareeka’ in which he ‘Sab ko dheek karta hai’. It was one of those rare feel good films.

4. Musafir

“Kya entry hai hero!!!”

For me ,his character “Billa” is mightier than ‘Mogambo’, 'Gabbar Singh', 'Shaakal', 'Bilal' and 'Jageera' (*).

Sanjay Dutt is just “KIDILAN”in this film. (in Malayalam!... means 'terrific') .

5. Kante /Gumrah/ Khal Nayak/ Deewar/ Mission Kashmir/Daud

I am confused… I expect ‘Parineeta’ will solve it.

So please…….

do not be prejudiced as once I had been. Watch his films. Compare his acting skills with that of others. Feel the way he lifts a film into a higher level.

[And to those who hates because of his personal affairs.........

For admiring artists or writers, there is no need to follow their personal life. Otherwise who can admire the great Arthur Shopenhower?]

Anyway I am very happy that gradually Hindi cinema is becoming more sensible than that of the 1980s and 90s and I hope that film makers will give great roles to well-exploit Sanjay’s talents.

(*) Famous villain characters in Hindi movies Mr.India,Sholay,Shaan,Mission Kashmir & China Gate.(In the order)

The Real LORD

Sanju baba is a unique, matchless actor. The unique selections of roles makes him the real hero. Not only in acting sanjay dutt has dominated other actors in STYLE.He was rated as stylish actor on earth. And in his latest ventures like MUSAFIR,SHABD.He has proved that he is a actor who is like water he can get into any shape that his director wants him to.

In real life also Sanjay dutt has inspired me, he got into illegeal possession of several ak-47 weapons and was imprisoned . But in 1991 and showed everyone that he is the real lord and gave three hits Daag the fire, haseena man jayegi and vaastav in which he got an best actor award for.

He the came up one of the most stylish of bollywood KAANTE.sanjay dutt, amitabh , sunil shetty, mahesh , kumar gaurav and lucky ali were in it.kaante created records and appealed to Masses. His look was loved by all teens. After that he came up with MUNNABHAI MBBS his performance was awesome and was loved by everyone.

In 2004 he came with his home production movie MUSAFIR which also had Anil uncle,Sameera reddy etc.The movie did outstanding business everywhere. The dialouges told by sanjay dutt will be remembered for ever. His performance was superb. He redefined style in shabd where in came in suit and surprised everyone.Though movie didn't worked but he was good in his role.

Sanjay dutt is an actor who is not so successful as shahrukh or amitabh but he has matchless style and talent of doing different roles.Whenever history of 20th century will be written Sanjay dutt will surely come as one of greatest actor and one of the stylish personality ever this world has experienced.

M bole to master mein master

Yes the one and only Sanjay Dutt aka Sanjubaba. He was born on july 29 1959. He's getting old yeah yeah, so what. The son of the two legendary actors, he need no introduction to introduce himself.

He stepped in the movies in 1981. His debut was rocky, but way before rocky he came in a movie called reshma aur shera as a child for about 5 minutes, which starred sunil dutt and vinod khanna. Well rocky didn't do that well at the box office, but it marked as sanjay dutt as the star son of sunil dutt. He was 22 years old when came in the movies. His mom passed away the year he got into the movies. He went into drugs right in 1983, which he stayed in jail for also. People thought of him as a nonactor. He was signed in for a lot movies like, Johny I love you, bekaraar, zameen aasman, mera haque, mera faisla, do dilon ki daastan, mera haque, which all went unnoticed at the box office. He also starred in a movie called mein awara hoon, that was his first movie which he did a very good job at.

Then in 1986 he starred in a movie called naam, which was produced by rajendra kumar and directed by mahesh bhatt. Rajendra kumar made naam for his son kumar gaurav, but it was sanjay dutt who stole the show with his powerful performance. He proved that he was here to stay for a long time. He liked doing gangster roles, because thats what fit his character.

After Naam there were was Saajan which did really good at the box office, dutt was nominated for best actor. In 1993 subhash ghai wanted to sign anil kapoor for khalnayak, because anil gave him 3 superhit movies, karma, ram lakhan and meri jung, but anil was to busy to work in khalnayak. So sanjay dutt was signed in, khalnayak did very good business and was a superhit at the box office. Khalnayak is considered the 3rd best movie in india, if you don't believe me read india west or go to any bollywood website.

Sanjay dutt's personal life was excabrate by drug problems and worsened after the deather of his wife rhea from cancer. He was arrested two times once under TADA then for having illegeal possession of several ak-47 weapons and was imprisoned while the case continued.

He was realeased from jail in 1997, did the movies mahanta, daud, and kartoos which were also flopped. Then the year 1999 came that was the dutt year. He had three consecutive hits in row, Daag the fire, haseena man jayegi and vaastav in which he got an best actor award for. He beat actor's like aamir khan, ajay devgan, manoj bajpai and salman khan for the best actor troph and also got the best scene of the year award for ending of vaastav.

Khoobsurat did pretty good business in 1999 also. Then he got lot of offers for movies, he kurukshetra in 2000 which was a hit movie and his performance was hatke. He was signed by vidhu vinod chopra for mission kashmir was a superhit and he gave a one heck of a performance. He worked in a very realistic movie called pitaah, which didn't good at the box office.

The movie had a different story and he acted very well. Then in 2002 second part of vaastav came called haathyar, face to face with reality which also bombed at the box office, but it's said by the critics that sanjay dutt's best performance is hathyar. He did a couple of movies with govinda which worked at the box office, haseena man jayegi, jodi number one and ek aur ek gayarah.

In 2002 a really big movie came with a huge starcast, sanjay dutt, amitabh bachnan, sunil shetty, mnahesh manrekar, kumar gaurav and lucky ali, the movie was called kaante. which did pretty good business and sanjay dutt;s performance was appreciated by the critics, the theatres were housefull in punjab. In year 2004 another movie came directed by sanjay gupta called musafir, which sanjay dutt played a villain in called billa bhai, which is still doing great business in india. He came back big time with a movie called munna bhai and got a comedian award.

Sanjay dutt had lost lot of his movies because of his jail problems, he was asked by yash chopra to portray the role of shahrukh khan in darr, he was too busy with movie khalnayak, he was in movie pyar kiya tu darna kya instead of arbaaz khan but at the time of the shooting he was in jail had jail problems, Sanjay dutt was in movie tridev he was signed in first as the role of naseruddin shah, but due to his durg problems he was thrown out.

Sanjay dutt was in the movie called Moksh which came out in 2001, the movie was planned to made in 1997, but he was jail at that time also. Arjun rampal was pinned in 2000 instead of him. Sanjay dutt was suppose to be the star of the movie duplicate which had two shahrukh khan were first two sanjay dutt,s but was thrown out cause of his prison problem.

Sanjay dutt was the first choice by Yash Chopra to be in the movie dil to pagal hai, but that time the movie was called choodiyan, but due to the legal problem he was unable to do the film. Sanjay dutt was also in the movie Border instead of Jackie Shroff.

Sanjay dutt was also in the movie Chahat, but shahrukh khan was roped in by mahesh bhatt, because sanjay dutt had given mahesh bhatt two hit movies naam and sadak so why wouldn't the guy take him in his third movie. Sanjay dutt was also in the movie trimurti directed by subhash ghai, but at that time he was in jail also so anil kapoor was signed in.

He also starred in the movie Dhai akshar prem ke directed by raj kanwar, but was replaced abhishek, He was also in the movie hera pheri instead of sunil shettty at that time the movie was called raftaar, Subash ghai had planned his 1981 movie hero with sanjay dutt, because at time his mom was passed way nargis so he didn't do that movie.

His cancelled movies

Zameen= with madhuri dixit, vinod khanna, rajnikant the movie was cancelled for some reason.

Dus- with salman raveena and shilpa shetty it was cancelled because the director mukul anand had died.

Nayak- it was cancelled because sanjay dutt was arrested at that time and the movie was directed by ram gopal varma.

killer, jungle, darpok, Anthony, maseeha, mera joota hai japani, khaleefe, ajanta, birju, biwi I love u, yakeen all were canncelled to his drug problems and his arrest with the police.

Sadak part 2, was also a shot for a few days, but was stopped because of his jail.

His forthcoming movies

Sarhad paar with tabu

Nehle pe dehla with safi ali khan

Tango charlie with sunil shetty and ajay devgan and bobby deol

Virudh with amitabh

Just punjabi

Life ho to aisi with shahid kapoor

Munna bhai llb

Sanjay gupta's zinda and ayodha

Ranveer directed by raj kumar santoshi sanju plays villain while amitabh and abhishek plays main actor.

Ramogpal varma most expensive film in india called ek with sanjay dutt, akshay kumar sunil shetty.

Sanju, the ''Product Review''
Dec 30, 2004 11:50 AM 3005 Views

Product Review: Sanjay Dutt

MS lists the film stars as products. So if they want a product review, they get a product review.

The following review is intended to be a humorous and witty review on one of the contemporary great actors: Sanjay Dutt. No offence meant, knowingly or unknowingly.

Product Name:Sanjay Dutt

Scientific Alias:Sanju

Product Origin:

This product has originated from supreme quality products called Nargis and Sunil Dutt, who have been rated amongst the best ever witnessed.

Physical Appearance:

This product is used as the symbol of masculinity. That means, extremely good physic and build up, makes him look macho and at times ladies find him irresistible.

Tracking the Evolution:

First came to market in 25 years ago, as a symbol of youth power. The first package was in form of Rocky. It was very well accepted in the market and the subsequent packaging were inspired from this one.

What followed were a series of similar packagings (otherwise called movies), which slowly got repetitive and the market started rejecting these. Then came a situation that this product was on its way out of the market.

Then came a mega success with Naam, which ensured that he stays well grounded and firm footed without having to exit. Late eighties saw him coming mostly in action and romantic packagings.

The early nineties saw an unprecedented demand for him and all the new versions were hugely successful. Sajan in particular own him much accolades. However, this time was also full of controversies for this product as illegal components were found with it. What followed was the product being taken off from the market to a secluded place by the authorities.

He made his second comeback with Khalnayak. It was a brand new packaging and brand new image. Since then, the manufacturers (directors, script writers etc.) have tried and tested him in various packages and forms, many of them have been successful. Finally with Khalnayak, Mission Kashmir, Vaastav, Munna Bhai MBBS etc, this product is out of being called stereotype.

Various Forms:

Angry Young Man:This was his early day packaging and did a good job out of Rocky, Vidhata, Naam etc.

Action:Extremely good in this packaging as most of his packages show. To name a few, Vaatav, Khalnayak, Mission Kashmir etc have made him win hearts.

Romantic:The product looks a bit ackward in this form as it is not his forte. Sajan has been probably the most notable package in this form. But still manageable.

Comedy:This is a new area that he first tested with another product who excels in this area. After the success of Haseena Man jayegi & Jodi No. 1, he tried out solo and had phenomenal success with Munna Bhai MBBS.

(Note: Again, I would like to repeat that it is written only in humour and not intended at hurting anyone?s emotions.)

The Henchman in Focus!
Nov 09, 2004 02:54 PM 5462 Views

It was the year 1994 Filmfare awards function. My (then) favorite actor Anil Kapoor was performing a tribute to his “friend”, Sanjay Dutt, who was cooling his heels in a TADA jail. I cringed. Read on…

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------

Sanjay Dutt – the “actor” who is just being himself in all his roles. The spoilt brat who was an ex (?) drug addict (he still looks one to me, though). The guy who had powerful links in the underworld and was caught red-handed with arms (and RDX?) in his house. The Narasimha Rao government (kudos to him) disregarding the fact that his father was a powerful Congress MP, initiated action by law and booked him under TADA. The powerful lobbying by the film industry which exonerated him without any trial and the pressure on the government to repeal TADA ensured that Sanjay could walk free.

Sunil Dutt – the powerful father. His mother, Nargis, was the original politician who through some social work managed to get close to the Gandhi family and became a Rajya Sabha MP nominated by the Congress. Very soon, the couple realized that it is highly beneficial to be close to the powers that be not only for funds (which are useful for projects like cancer hospital), but more importantly to bail out their wayward son whenever he got caught in the clutches of the law. So after her death, poor Sunil Dutt was forced to take up the baton and become a Congress MP. He now perpetuates his rule by pandering to the slum votes in his constituency and taking support of the blatantly Muslim-pandering Samajwadi party. With his recent promotion as Minister for sports (the pathetic performance at the Olympics and the doping scandals notwithstanding), we can be sure he will continue to be the MP as long as he lives and he will limp on from one election to the next.

Back to the thug: Whether it is out of any admiration (which looks doubtful, but then maybe he has some personal charm), or it is out of fear, Sanju baba enjoys tremendous (but inexplicable) goodwill among his colleagues in the film industry. Almost a holy-cow!

The recent expose' where he was caught red-handed speaking on a phone to a underworld don was aired all over the media. The conversation proved beyond doubt that he had extremely close links with them. Despite such blatant evidence, he walked scot free. Nobody’s even talking about it. When a similar thing happened to the BJP through Tehelka, the media made a big hue and cry about the expose, but they will dare not raise any voice against this powerful underworld henchman.

Professional Merits (ha ha) : After reading all the above, does it matter what his professional career has been. I think it does. Because many feel that a star’s exploits in personal life can be forgiven if he has been outstanding in his professional field. So let us debate that:

Take his choice of films. He started his career with his home production “Rocky”(1980) which was a flop despite great music by RD Burman. Subsequently his entire range of films through the 1980s was forgettable save an occasional “Naam” where he had an author-backed role. (Now this type of performance can be done by anybody). In the early 90s, films like “Khalnayak” and “Sadak” gave him success as a thug and anti-hero. With his proximity to the underworld, Sanjay decided to cash in on this success.

His performances have been, to put it kindly, quite sad. He’s been around for gawd, nearly 25 years now (sheesh)! Leave aside the horrible films, even the so-called acclaimed performances of his, if you study closely, are pretty much uniform. Whether it is Naam, Khalnayak, Sadak, Vaastav or Munnabhai. He was (unintentionally) laughable as the poet (ha ha) of Saajan. Now of late, he has niched into the specialized trademark acting of playing a “tapori” or an underworld don. In virtually film after film ever since, we can see the same character under different names. I’m sure no one else can do a better job than him, since he knows so many of these characters in real life.

His dialogue delivery is the worst thing – a slow drawl in a monotonous rambling tone. Hearing him mouthing a romantic passage makes me hold my sides in pain. His droopy eyes and hulk-style gait and experimenting with weird hairdos further gives me the creeps. He followed bum-chum Salman into the buffing up and waxing routine, but with his sagging muscles, looks like a steroid pumped alien nearing his half-century.

Glorifying the underworld: What is more dangerous is a hidden agenda of glorifying the deeds of the underworld. Starting from Vaastav, his films have been financed and sponsored by the underworld. Even the scripts have been written and approved by the dons themselves who want to portray themselves as the victims of society. And using Sanju-baba’s awesome goodwill to propogate this theory.

Personal Mess: Not that it should be anyone’s concern, but his personal life is in a shambles. After a wild romance with Tina Munim, he got married to the US-based Richa Sharma who did a few roles in the mid and late 80s. But after her first child, Richa developed brain tumour only to get promptly dumped by hubby. (What a contrast to the behaviour of his father, who stood provided rock support to his mother who died under similar circumstances). What is amazing is that the film media still projects as Sanju-baba being the oh-so-tragic in romance. Now he does have a long-distance relationship with his teenage daughter who lives in the States. Which is not saying much. His second marriage to the model-turned-celebrity Art-of-Living instructor, Rhea Pillai, did not last very long. They parted “amicably” (whatever that means). Now Rhea has a new boyfriend, while Sanju is available once again for whoever is interested.

Final comments: Leave aside his disarrayed personal state, ignore his pathetic performances, but can one forget his underworld links? Can you disregard the fact that he has the film industry at his fingertips? The propogation of the mafia point of view in a glorified manner is a sinister agenda. Given all this background, how can anyone even like him, leave alone admire him?

<for more hilarious stuff on this enigma, I would strongly recommend you read mnc123’s superb review on Five worst actors of Hindi movies>
