Few Days back, I moved from Chennai to Bangalore.I called 3-4 vendors for shifting and one of them was Sahara packers and movers. The marketing person was quite helpful in explaining all the queries. I have got quotations from other companies as well, but marketing executive were not knowledgeable. Their packaging team was right there at my house in morning  I have lot of glass furniture and plants to be packed. so I told them to package it carefully. They asked me to relax and they will take care of everything. At the end, I was very impress with the packaging quality. While loading items in the vehicle, they took extreme care of glass furniture and plants. I was told that they will deliver goods in Bangalore in two days.  I was really surprised to get my things back as it is and that too with in two days.

They have kept their words and promised to setup everything in Bangalore and they did that. Mr. Jitesh was quite help full and cooperative in Bangalore office. Sahara packers and movers provided a world class services in India. I think other people can also go with them.

I recently used Sahara packers and movers. I was quite happy and amazed with their services. I have shifted from HP Bangalore to Delhi office. Previously, I have used other big companies for local shifting in Banaglore and they all cheated me.I wanted to try some one new. I Got Mr. Jitesh reference from one of my friend. This person is truly a Gentleman and performed his business at his best. Initially, I was also worried by the reviews in mouthshut, but my all worries were taken care by Sahara Packers and Movers.

Their packaging team was outstanding and they performed a neat job. While loading stuff also, they were excellent. They promised to provided delivery with in 5-7 days and I got my stuff back in Delhi with in 7 days. While delivering in Delhi their team came in night and did all the unloading and unpacking and ensured that our kitchen is ready for the next day morning. I could never thought, that such kind of service will be available in India.I will definitely recommend other people to use their services without any tension.

DO NOT Engage with this mover!

They will first of all charge 20% more than what they estimate.They are not prepared for pickup. In my case truck did not arrive on time. I had been kept waiting for 6 hours after making repeated calls. They always kept on telling 1 hr you will see the truck.

In my case consignment was shipped from Chennai to Gurgaon and they gave a very very hard time. No one picks the phone . If they do, they will threten and WILL NOT disclose where is the current household stuff after departure. They will DELAY it and will charge extra at last moment.

I could only say one word they are Basta*ds, Do they really need a rating, They are the worst. and stupid fellows, I hope some RTO officer would find them and lock them up. There wont be any other words that I can scold them, they said that they will deliver my goods and I went to another place where I have to receive them.

He didn't start the delivery they kept the lorry at their place and were demanding for the whole money.

SAHARA goods carrying cargo pvt  ltd is one of the worst carriers.They take customers granted. Recently I used their service to send consignment from Bangalore to my son at Pune and suffered. I suggest not to use their service and keep away from them for following reasons.

1) At the time of booking and at the end of service delivery my opinion about their sincerity is changed  from good to worst . They take 100% money on booking and  do not mention insurance details properly. In case of damage to consignment I  am not sure how they will respond.

2) Their response to telephonic enquiry is very poor & evasive. The operator and agents misguide you and  dodge. You will never get their manager on line. They go on giving different numbers and at the end you find you will be dealing with coli/driver. Myself and my son spent large sum on local and outstation calls and anxious moments to ensure that the consignment was finally delivered(of course late).There is no response from their e mail address. Finally I had to make visit to their office and follow-up.

3) It was very difficult to get the consignment delivered. In fact from the time the material arrived at destination local agents of M/s Sahara started asking us to collect material from their go down. As material was insured, we insisted that they deliver as per original understanding( door to door delivery). Their agents collected local  transport charges at destination.

4)Contrary to their earlier confirmation

i)They do not have any representative at Pune.

ii)They did not put packed delicate items in wooden box.

iii)They did not send material through their own transport and sent by vehicle passing through Pune They in turn dumped material  at some agent who is not connected with M/s Sahara.

This is the worst service provider, I had used their service for transport of household goods from  from bangalore to kolar and it turned out to be a nightmare...hopeless packing and they although they started at 5 pm for a 1.5 hour journey they reached at 1 am and their people were all drunk. they did not assemble anything but just dumped all the goods at my house.

Even if u call their customer care they wont take care of your complaint

I booked my Bike from Hyderabad to Bangalore through sahara packers and movers and they were very pleasant and told me that it will reach Bangalore in any case within 2 days. But I couldn't got any information where my bike was until 4-5 days.

The only person who was picking the phone was a guy from Bangalore office and he too didn't belong to Sahara Packers as he told me. The manager being the only person to reach in such conditions wasn't picking up the phone. Somehow after 5 or so days  I got my bike with some scratches and without helmet that I locked in it. I still didn't got my Helmet and the response is again the same no phone picking by any staff as well as the manager Mr. Sharma.

I would recommend not to go for their services in any case rest is upto you how much you can bear with them!

Extremely poor service. Thieves is an apt word. VEry sweet talkers initially but in the end will make you cry. AVOID AVOID at all costs. Trust me having been burnt. They change the truck, no insurance..you name it and they have a scam for it.

They have fancy olders etc at the time they come but thats about it. I wish I had done some more research on this before I took them. Trust this site for reviews

Sahara movers and packers are the worst movers and packer in the world. Beware before appointing, these people are fraudster and they cannot deliver your material. They use your vehicles and your goods and send it to you to their own convenience, whenever they want to.

Don't be surprise if you find your vehicle with dents broken light etc. your life will be hell if you choose this one. They took your luggage from your door promising to deliver to you at your destination, but fact is they use your vehicle goods and they never deliver in the promised time. These are actually fraudster, their staff is very arrogant and they may abuse you. BEWARE BEFORE CHOOSING THIS PACKER SERVICE CAUSE THEY MOVE YOUR EVERY THING.

I booked my household stuff and cars through Sahara while moving from Bangalore to Delhi. For household stuff I insisted on a single truck end to end and of specified size. The people who came to pack were good and so were the loaders. As a result the stuff reached in 5-6 days intact.

My cars were not so lucky. One of the cars was delivered with huge scratches (almost like burn marks) on the bumper and a minor dent in the dickey which looked like the car had repeatedly scratched against the truck door throughout the journey. Initially they tried to pass it off as "original condition" since the condition paper said scratches on bumper but finally the car was repaired through a local mechanic and delivered to me.

Even worse was the second car which was delivered in perfect condition but had a warning light on the instrument panel. When I took it to the Maruti showroom, I was told that the speed and mileage sensor on the car was not fixed properly and the meter was not working !!!! It was obvious that this was disconnected in Bangalore and the car was used before delivering to me. The delivery itself took 18 days from Bangalore to Delhi (should have been a week normally).

Looking at other reviews, it is obvious that these guys use the  cars before loading it on the container. The precautions that I would suggest:

1. Insist on driving the car personally to the warehouse if possible and have it loaded in front of you.

   
   




2. Ensure that there is no possiility of fiddling with the speed sensors by getting it sealed through a mechanic. At least  if it is tempered then you will know.

   
   




3. Give them sufficient amount of petrol and  put a seal on the tank to ensure that it can;t be refilled. It will at least ensure that the car can only be driven to a limited extent.

I am Vineeth, I used the service of Sahara parkers and movers to move my goods to Cochin from Bangalore. They charges me 18, 000 INR - and promised it will be send in a single load - single truck.

But when it got delivered to my house in Cochin, its was not the Sahara parkers and movers how came for the delivery. Its us some third party transporter who brought in my household goods with a chase of lorry. I was shocked to see the boxes were Squeezed inside and few things got damaged.

I called the Local Manager Chittaranjan, (who took the oder from me before the consignment), he was rude, uncultured and was not ready to speak. I asked him for the refund of the money(if it is shared truck it come to only 7000 INR) he was not ready to give it. I told him I will go to consumer court. he threated me by saying I will have to bare the consequences.

I was on my way to travel abroad, dint had much time to get into all this sht. But I am planning for huge blow on there face.

So guys never ever take there service.

Its up to you now to decide.

Lured by competitive rates and a national network, we trusted Sahara Packers to move us from one residence to another within Bangalore, a distance of 1 kilometer, on 16 February by Consignment Note 54306. They promised us a time line of work start at 09:00 hours, transfer ready at 12:30 hours, unpack and re-installation by 17:30 hours.

The bad experience started from the time the packers reported at 10:30 hours. Within 30 minutes, the personnel said the work could not be done as per estimate (which had been given after full physical verification by the salesperson). In the end, after an hour of negotiation, we were forced to escalate the charges from Rs.5, 500/- to Rs.7, 000/-. Packing proceeded in a disorganised manner throughout the day. In the end, we finished shifting at 22:30 hours, resulting in boxes being dumped in the new apartment, without unpacking (for which they extracted a cost of Rs.50/- per box).

As we unpacked over the week, we started to find items missing: personal items such as blackberry device, collection of wrist watches, cuff links, other personal items; kitchen items such as microwave dishes etc. amounting to a personal loss of nearly a 45, 000 rupees. Repeated calls to Sahara Packers people, in particular, the coordinator of our shifting, Mishra, has only resulted in evasion and non-commitment to our complaints.

So, to the online community, we put up this warning to avoid this company if you want your goods to be moved safely!

Whoever you go with, dont take Sahara ever. Intially they would speak as if they are the best and you can be tension free. Then they overcharge way more than  others, will never give you a correct quote and add taxes and insurance  at the last minute when you have no time left and finally I had to get  the cops involved to get my stuff delivered after 3 weeks, half of which was damaged.

When I asked them for the insurance details for which they charged me  money to be able to claim they said "jo chaho kar lo" and eventually  stopped answering my calls. I spent over 70K transferring my stuff worth 2.5L and had to spend another 12K repairing half the broken furniture and throw away stuff worth well over 25K which were beyond repair.

I has moved to US, giving this guys my household stuff. When I tried to get my stuff back they asked me for 40000 Rs. against 21, 000 asked earlier.

That crooked Jitesh is a complete fraudster. Please spread the word about them.Cheating these Sahara Packers guys.

Please be aware of them, they speak so well and politely till the time you hand them your goods, once its gone out of your hands you will at their mercy.

I have  a more horrific story to post. I went to USA for a long term and left  my car with Sahara packers on May 2009. It was a 2005 Santro (KA 03 ME  1901).

The odometer reading was reading 16000 km+ at that time. I came back on Jan 2011, and on the first week of Jan took the car from them.

To my surprise the odometer reading was 13000 km+!! Plus, the car was  having a different bonnet other than my car. The dicky was ’’fixed’’.  There was a big dent on the roof. The stepney was completely bald (It  was a brand new one with no miles on it - when I left the car with  them).

All four tires of my car was of MRF brand, I found 3 of MRF  brand, and 1 of Bridgestone. On a further appraisal of the vehicle from a  professional agency, it was found that the suspension was broken, shock absorber was bad, steering wheel bad.

Plus I found that the car was stalling on lower speed and lower gears- something which was totally  unprecedented. I was once stopped by the Police on Sarjapura road for  speeding and the police officer handed me a big laundry list of traffic  violations - all of which happened on 2010 - when I was actually not in  country!

These b#stards were using my car left, right and center (may  be for some commercial purposes to make some quick bucks) while they were charging me for storage. What a pack of jerks!

Now I  can’t do anything with the existing law and order scenario in this city-  except curse them and wish them that all their families rot in hell. The big mouthed buffoon Jitesh promised to meet me (god knows for what  reasons) and now he does not even bothers to answer my calls!

I request all the folks to spread the word about these crooks and advise  everybody to keep away from them. Collectively avoiding them and making  them bankrupt is the only fitting way to reply to all their such unjust practices.

This review is based on my experience of dealing with Shara Packers and Movers (THE WORST ONES ON THE EARTH). I now feel I should have read reviews about them before dealing with them. I had two assignements with them, one within banagalore and one from Blore to Dharwad. I am hereby sharing my experiences on both:

1) Within Bangalore: I got in touch with this joker Manoj Jain () who took my calls initially. He has a unique way of cheating people. He will come home and asses your items to be transferred and will quote a value. Then you confirm with him whether this is the final price and ask if there are any additional costs to which he will say there is none. So I confirmed with him and he said it would be 4500 Rs.

On the day of transfer a vehicle comes and they come and pack your belongings. These packers are pretty rude and talked in a rude way with my mom and wife when they asked them to be careful about fragile items like TV etc. The vehicle they sent was in such pathetic condition that it stopped almost every 4-5 kms causing traffic jams. To cover a distance of 20 kms they took 5-6 hours. Then on top of that when they arrived they absolutely did not care about they materials. They just dumped them and asked for the money. The next shocking part was that the bill said 5300 Rs. Then when I tried calling this gutless guy Manoj Jain he did not even pick my call. So I had to pay them 5300 and then on top of that the packers demanded 100Rs each.

2) Blore - Dharwad: This was even more shocking experience. I had contacted Manoj Jain for this particular logistic for which he had qouted 12500 Rs. On top of this another guy said that it would be better if we took insurance worth 1.5Lacs by paying a premium of 4500 Rs for which I still have not revieved the insurance papers. The bufoon Manoj Jain had promised that he will send it by courier which he never did. Absolute pathetic guy. Never ever deal with this person or Sahara packers and Movers. The truck came and loaded the boxes one day prior to departure. When the packages arrived at dharwad we were all shocked to see them in completely damaged. See the pictures. Wht is worst their Hubli manager Praveen (9342833179) has absolutely no sense in dealing with customers. He started shouting at us on hearing our complaints. Ther workers who were suppose to fix the furniture did not do their work at all. When I complained this to their managers in blore one Bhaskar (9379961333) and Dharamveer Paliwal (09341832333) they said they will asses the damage and fix them accordingly which they have not done till date. The incident happend in the first of November.

THE MOST SHOCKING ASPECT WAS THEY HAD LOADED TWO CONSIGNMENTS WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. THE FOOLS EVEN MADE THE MISTAKE OF OFFLOADING A  BOX WHICH DID NOT EVEN BELONG TO US.

PLEASE AVOID THESE CROOKS.

ABSOLUTE CHEATS. DO NOT DEAL WITH MANOJ JAIN (9880522866), PRAVEEN (9342833179), BHASKAR (9379961333), DHARAMVEER (09341832333) or SAHARA ALL TOGETHER.

Sahara Packers and Movers - I chose them because their senior management consisting of Manoj Jain and Jitesh Modi personally interacted with me and Manoj in fact came to my house boasting of his services. I booked them based on Manoj's promise to ship the goods to Kolkata in a very good manner. They took 70% of the payment in Bangalore itself. In Kolkata, first goods reached 5 days late. Secondly, after goods reached my home, they threatened with goons saying that if I dont pay remaining amount, they will not unload goods. Moreover, they sent some labor class people who just unloaded the goods after receiving the payments and kept the goods as is. We arranged all the goods ourselves.

Infact the entire Sahara team is made up of Manoj Jain and Jitesh Modi. The 2 of them made my family suffer like anything and trust me I curse them their family will starve. I am sure very soon they will loose their job and they will be on roads with their family. Because with their attitude and behavior, they can never survive in business. Never ever trust Sahara guys and if you do so you are doing at your peril. You will pay more money to them and in the name of service. And if you happen to interact with Manoj Jain or JItesh Modi, never ever trust them.

Moreover on the goods also, they transferred goods at least 4-5 time in various trucks and by the time goods reached our place, half of things were damaged. Furniture got spoiled and till now there is no nobody from their company who is helping to get the insurance claims. I have paid for Rs1 lacs insurance and I think it has gone in their pocket. So, all in all Sahara packers is the biggest fraud.

After Calling Just Dial, I had about 10 quotes to shift my house from Ramamurthynagar to Koramangala. I wish I had seen this forum before I decided to hand over the order to Sahara packers and Movers.

Their executive come and appear extremely decent on arrival and you almost fall for it. On the day of transport, they sent an open BBMP vehicle (I am not even sure if it was a garbage disposing vehicle) with 4 local guys and without absolutely any equipments and started dumping all my home equipment even without a paper packing in to the plastic boxes. (even Tvs, Music system etc).

They did not even have bubble sheets with them. Even worst, I had needed two vehicles that they promised and finally they say only one vehicle (that to top open) and they will do two trips. To make it worse it rained that day the whole day.

I finally arranged for another vehicle of my own and transported everything and finished at midnight.

Finally, I asked them to ask their Manager and someone called Jithesh called me who claimed to be the Manager and I see complaints about him also in this forum. What a pity!!!.

The guy I spoke to was Chittaranjan. I finally paid them 5K and sent them off.

I lost my UPS exterior Box (Rs 1000). Three Kurl-On Matresses 2 managed to dry over last 10 days and one thorwable now (4000). 4 Fav costly silk sarees of my Mom damaged (around 10K)

All other clothes got wet and some favorite clothes completely damaged.

People looking for shifting, Completely beware of Sahara, they are just a bunch of Jokers. Had they met me the same day I was shifting, I would have whipped and sent them.

We chose Sahara PAckers and movers for domestic transport in April this year. Inter state cargo movement.Not only did these guys arrive late - we were sent 4 in experienced guys who came later giving us about 5 hours to pack and entire house before we had to catch a bus.They did not use any bubble wrap instead used up all our paper. Finished at the last min, waited around to take loads of left over stuff and wanted 1000Rs extra cash as labour charge apart from the 11K we payed them. They argued with the method of packing expensive glassware telling us they knew what to do.

They charged us an additional 7000Rs to transport the car.

We left just in time to get the bus, reached home to realise the cargo would be late 4 days against the 'next day' transport. The car that was transported, brokedown once it reached its destination, ( spent 4k to set that right). we lost a home theatre system. the office never picked up their phones or responded. My husband had to leave the country and couldnt wait around to receive the main cargo - because of which no one responsible was around to sign on the paper saying all the goods werent in. my husband went to meet them before the shipment came, before he left india and they gave 4000Rs for the delays caused.. if only we knew when the cargo came we would be missing expensive things.

4 months later we came back to india - and set about opening the boxes as we had to leave immediately in order for him to join work. Guess what...the boxes were transported so poorly, they'd grown damp and mould(fungus), they'd apparently left the boxes somewhere where it got wet. We unwrapped our stuff - and more than one glass vase was broken, show peices were crushed.

So we got robbed, broken stuff, paid close to 30K with a 4K refund.

PLEASE DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!!! CHEATS - who have no respect for others properties or hard earned things.When they offered the 4K before the cargo arrived - for the delays, they had the audaucity to actually offer to transport internationally too. I hope someone puts these guys out of business. SOON

We had earlier used sahara for a local move about 2 years ago and decided to go again without bothering to know the current state of affairs. this time it was to a different city

First they sent only 2 workers to pack the whole house and that too late in the evening without any vehicle to load into. Everything was slow and when they dropped the sofa down the staircase we had to the whole packing and asked to come only when they had enough ppl to handle the move and with a vehicle the next day.

Mr jitesh hid a lot of facts like paying the whole amount upfront, service tax and insurance etc.All this was revealed to us only after the items were packed and the cargo was loaded. When we asked for a cancellation they asked us to pay 50% as cancellation charges which was ridiculous- we asked jitesh to come down n resolve the issue since it did not help talking to the workers.

After a couple of hours of jitesh and other sahara employees not taking calls etc and we refusing to allow the vehicle to move, the workers finally checked with some employee and agreed to take half the amount and the rest on delivery.

After 3 days by when the vehicle should have reached we called to dsicovered that the vehicle was not dispatched in the first place and is being held to ransom for the whole payment. By then all of us had left the city and all calls were avoided and disconnected and we were left high and dry.

When confronted on why they had agree to take half and leave, the only answer we kept getting from all the ppl we spoke to at Sahara was - this was how they could get money from us and close the transaction- so unashamed and openly and blatantly.

We would recommend other movers like Globe in Bangalore who were more professional and treated our things with care and not use our sentiments and hold our things to ransom as Sahara had done.

Most of all all our family has been terribly harassed and hurt by jitesh's actions and his unprofessional language which can never be excused. If the company can still retain such a character then I can imagine how good the other employees must be.PLEASE AVOID USING SAHARA
