Nice college

Location:

Very few colleges in Mumbai can beat the location of Rizvi College of Engineering. It's off the plush Carter road promenade and behind Pali Hill, home of many celebrities. One might often bump into a celebrity or someone popular. It's midway Khar( W.Rly) and Bandra( Harbour Rly) but really far from the respective stations. Taking a rickshaw  to the college everyday might be a little expensive. BEST bus no. 220 from Khar or Bandra stations and 51 & 56 from Dadar and Santacruz are the most preferred. Infrastructure:

Now, we found this a little disappointing but certainly not the worse in Mumbai. The classrooms have 2 air conditioners each. The labs are less equipped with apparatus; some are faulty and some aren’t even there. There’s no college ground but there are lots of public grounds nearby for sports enthusiasts especially cricket which beats in every Rizvites heart. The toilets often stink; so it is advised that you finish off your stuff at home. The infrastructure is improving though.

THIS COLLEGE IS NOT SO VERY GOOD.

I AM CURRENTLY THE STUDENT OF SECOND YEAR CIVIL ENGG.

THE TEACHERS ARE ALL UNKNOWLEDGEABLE.

THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIER SUBJECT.

THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO TEACH.

THEY KNOW ONLY ONE THING i.e TO GIVE ASSIGNMENT ANS TOUCHER STUDENT.

STAFFS ARE ALL WORST EXCEPT FEW.

( NOTE: - ONLY 2 OR 3 ARE INCLUDED IN FEW.)

THEY DONT COMPLETE PORTION ON TIME SO DONT DEPEND ON TEACHERS IF YOU CAN DO BY URSELF THAN ITS OKH OTHERWISE JOIN CLASSES.

AND DONT DARE TO ACT RUDELY IN FRONT OF ANY TEACHERS.

THEY ARE THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN AN EYE FOR AN EYE.

BELIEF ME THEY WILL TOUCHER YOU FURING SUBMISSION

THE BEST PART OF THIS COLLEGE IS THAT CANTEEN IS VERY BIG BUT THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE AS ARCHITECH, SCHOOL, ENGG, HOTEL MANAGEMENT, LAW COLLEGE SHARE THE SAME CANTEEN.

ATTENDENCE IS ALSO NOT VERY IMPORTANT BUT SOME TEACHER GIVES INTERNAL MARKS

ON ATTENDENCE.SO BE CAREFULL. .

THINK AND TOOK ADMISSION.

I WILL RECOMMED IF YOU DONT GET ADMISSION IN OTHERS COLLEGE THAN ONLY SELECT THIS COLLEGE.

OVERALL THIS COLLEGE IS NOT VERY GOOD AND NOT SO POOR.

I WILL SAY IT LIES IN INTERMIDIATE LEVEL.

Rizvi College of Engineering is a private engineering college, located in the Bandra(west) suburb of Mumbai, in Maharashtra state of India. It was established in 1998, and is managed by the Rizvi Education Society. It is a Muslim religious minority college(i.e., half of all seats are reserved for students from the Muslim religious minority community). It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai2, is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) of the Government of India, and is recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE)[3] of the state government of Maharashtra.

It offers undergraduate education leading to the University of Mumbai's "Bachelor of Engineering"(B.E.) degree in any 1 of the following 6 disciplines: mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, biotechnology, civil engineering, and electronics and telecommunication engineering. The ordinary duration of these undergraduate courses is 4 years.

The college was established in the year 1998 by the Rizvi Education Society, which is a "Public Charitable Trust" established under the Societies Act 1950 and registered under the provisions of The Bombay Public Act, 1950. The Society started with the Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce and Rizvi High School in the year 1985. It later established Rizvi College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Rizvi College of Engineering, Rizvi Law College, Rizvi College of Education and Rizvi College of Fashion Designing & Creative Arts. All these are located at Rizvi Educational Complex near Carter Road, Bandra(West), Mumbai.[4]

Rizvi College of Engineering initially offered instruction leading to the University of Mumbai's Bachelor of Engineering degree(4-year duration) in 3 disciplines: civil engineering, electronics engineering, and mechanical engineering. The first batch of students graduated in the year 2002. New departments were subsequently started: electronics and telecommunication engineering in 2002(first batch graduating in 2006), computer engineering in 2008(first batch graduating in 2012), and biotechnology in 2012(first batch to graduate in 2016).[5] All departments offer degrees of the University of Mumbai.

The College is located near Carter Road, in the Bandra(west) suburb of Mumbai. The campus is an eight-storied building, in which the Rizvi College of Engineering occupies the bottom 6 floors(i.e. ground floor to fifth floor) and the Rizvi College of Architecture occupies the top 2 floors(i.e. sixth and seventh floors).(The administrative and other offices are separate for both the colleges. Except a few minor things like the elevator, there is hardly any sharing of facilities between the two colleges, as is required by rules governing colleges in India.)

Other institutes of the Rizvi Education Society(Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce; Rizvi High School; Rizvi College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology; Rizvi Law College; Rizvi College of Education; and Rizvi College of Fashion Designing & Creative Arts) are located nearby. Together, all these institutes form the "Rizvi Education Complex".

The admissions to the undergraduate programs are made on the basis of scores of engineering entrance examination.

Admissions to half of all seats in each course are managed by the "Common Admission Process"(CAP) of the Directorate of Technical Education of the state government of Maharashtra. Various cast-, region- and gender-based reservations are implemented in these, as per the government rules.[6]

Admissions to the other half of the seats are managed by the college administration. These include seats for the Muslim religious minority, as well as "management quota" in which admission may be obtained via a special donation to the college. Here, too, scores of the engineering entrance examination are used.[7]

Among other requirements, a candidate has to secure at least 50% marks in aggregate of physics, chemistry and mathematics in the class 12 board examinations(or equivalent), as per the rules of the Directorate of Technical Education.

Worst College

I have joined the the institute in 2013 for the course of MMS, Although the college location and staff are very good but

Due to financial reason I have to cancel my Admission from the same. During the the cancellation of my admission the cheated me with the amount of 32000 extra from my fees submitted. As the rule of DTE says the full fees will be refunded if there is net admission against cancellation,

But still they Deducted my 32000 rupess from the paid amount. That was the huge loss for me and My father. In overall I must say keep sum humanity in you. Thanks

None other can beat location of this college..

I think no other colleges in Mumbai can beat the location of this college. It is  behind Pali Hill, house of many celebrities.

You can often get chance to see many celebrities. It is in midway of Bandra and khar station. It is in posh area but travelling by train is not that convenient. One will find taking auto daily from station to college little expensive. You need to take bus.

Infrastructure of this college is decent. Disappointing considering the locality. Each class room is Air conditioned.

Fees is nominal like other engineering colleges. Faculty are PhD graduates and experienced.

The best part of this college is attandance is not complusary. Here you are'marzi ka malik'. College is fun and you have many grounds near by for playing the sport you like. Crowd is decent. It is Muslim minority college so 50% crowd is Muslim. Canteen is Decent. Placement cell is active here and mostly everybody gets placed somewhere or the other.
