Reliance Fresh, Ratanada, Jodhpur Reviews

Product price is more than MRP
Feb 09, 2009 05:08 PM 9954 Views

I had a small experience with Reliance Fresh - Thane Ghodbunder Branch. I was waiting for my friend so thought to check the available product and came across with following products and a price detail (it is upto you to decide):

  1. First checked Colgate Toothpaste (do not remember exact make) but the price deplayed over counter was Rs. 50 and when checked the MRP on product it was Rs. 48.

  2. Checked the Firstchoice Handkerchief (5 items) - Reliance Tag printed with their code as MRP Rs. 69.00 and Reliance Price: Rs. 49.00. Oh my god - the printed MRP price on the Firstchoice Box was Rs. 49.00 - so whose MRP is correct the price printed on box or the tag put by Reliance Fresh - it is upto you to decide.

  3. The 3rd grade vegetables / fruits which we do not even look at had a price tag of Number One product rate

I have shared the experience with my family and asked them in case any time they happen to visit Reliance Fresh then check the following:

  1. MRP price printed by the company product and the MRP price of Reliance Fresh Tag.

  2. Check the Discounted price and compare with printed MRP price on product.

  3. VERY IMPORTANT - AVOID GOING TO RELIANCE FRESH

This is my review and updated for your knowledge but it depends upon your need.

Thanks,

Mridul

Small shops are better than Reliance Fresh.
Nov 14, 2008 12:15 PM 6830 Views

I visit Reliance Fresh at New Thippasandra nea Indira nagar as I stay in that area only. I almost daily visit this store and came out disappointed. Only few things I purchased ( by force due to this is very close to my apartment). So most I avoid this store to visit like Big Bazaar.

This store I dont know why they open, there is not much variety, collection and most important Fresh Food.

No price tag you can find in most of the items.

I never saw any vegetable or fruits are in good condition or fresh. Price are almost same in market rather you can negotiate at market. Quality of Vegetable which you like to throw in dustbin.

Most strange thing they do is, they never return the 50 paise on your bill. For example your bill amount is Rs 119.50. They ask you to pay Rs 120. I had made a complain in writing but no gain. Still I am paying 50 paise more almost every purchase I made.

The worst ever outlet I've ever visited!
Nov 14, 2008 10:07 AM 6609 Views

I went to buy some vegetables at reliance fresh, 13th cross, Binnamangala, Indranagar on 13th Nov 2008 evening. After I collected the vegetables, I noticed that the cover was torn a little by the ridge gourd and bitter gourd vegetables inside and the vegetable is peeking out. Hence, I requested an extra cover and the immediate reply I received was that they don't give extra covers. I showed them the torn cover a little already and and said I have to travel a long way by crowded buses (had to change two buses), and it'll be definitely torn. I further said, i'll pay for the extra cover, what ever be the extra cost. But, even then they said they won't give an extra cover at all ! I asked for the customer relations (!!!) Manager, and he too said the same thing. I became irritated by this mindless idiotic answer, and said again that i'll pay for the cover. Even then , he kept on saying that they won't give the extra cover and it was against their policy. I became too irritated and sat on the counter, saying I will never budge. For that, he replied, "okay. Sit here till 9 in the morning.

We do not care absolutely !". Imagine such a situation in your life !! What will you do if you ask for an extra cover and these slugheaded refuse to give the cover ! I jumped down, and threw the bread packets which were kept on the counter, and came out. The funny part was... There was a mild recording that was played repeatedly asking people not to waste the vegetable covers and you could see minimum of 30-40 covers wasted around the different racks in the shop. In fact I was a little considerate and chose only 2 covers (for banana & tomatoes) for the 100rs worth veggies that I bought. Aren't these people considerate enough. I wish I had used around 10 of those veggie covers instead.

Just think about this. Your package is about to be torn by the vegetables inside, and you ask for an extra cover. They just simply say according to their policy, they will not give extra cover at all! What will you do? Had such a terrible experience in the reliance ffresh store! Me or the people I know will never step in to the shop again. Not only this but in any reliance fresh outlet ! Bunch of idiots out there !

Most disorganised
Oct 08, 2008 09:25 PM 10199 Views

I have visited the Reliance Fresh at Tardeo and swore never to go there again as it is the most disorganised supermarket ever.  The aisles are narrow and badly arranged leading to customers repeatedly brushing past each other.  The less said about the chaotic check out counters, the better.

Reliance Fresh Signaturestores at Warden Road is somewhat better laid out and looks at least more spacious.  However the products are mostly very high end with a large imported foods content, undoubtedly aimed at the presumed to be well heeled Warden Rd Napean Sea Rd clientele.  It will provide competition for Nature Basket next door.  The vegetable section is well laid out and  reasonably priced.  A good thing is that they also offer pre packed vegetables which dispenses with the tiresome weighing process faced in other supermarkets.  Other common Indian grocery and toiletry items are competitively priced, although there are no super  special  "offers" of the kind found in Big Bazar, D Mart and Magnet.

There are only three check out counters at Warden Rd with a peculiar arrangement whereby you do not pay and go through, but are forced to push past other customers behind you, to get out.  Heaven help those who go when the store is busy.

The bakery section was very disappointing.  The display looks very tempting but the quality leaves a lot to be desired.  I  paid for two walnut brownies but when I went home I found that one brownie was a full one third smaller in size than the other.  This is cheating.  I also bought with great expectations a Multi Grain slice loaf.  It was absolutely dry and stale, without any texture or taste.  Any of the commercial breads are far superior than this so called "boutique" sawdust [Theobroma brand].  Though I may  return for vegetables, I will never make the mistake of buying any bakery products.

Another curiosity is the Reliance Fresh membership card.  The form you have to complete to become a member requires compulsory disclosure of information far in excess of a credit card application.    The information required is much too personal and intrusive which has no bearing on a loyalty card.  I wonder what Reliance plans to do with all this personal data from any gullible person who actually discloses so much information just for a "loyalty" card.  Reliance are vague as to what the benefits are, of becoming a member.  If I were applying for a housing loan, I could understand, but for a mere supermarket loyalty card, this is unwarranted.  Even the attempt to disguise it as a kind of cash recharge card by the prepaid option, does not justify the information sought as you are giving credit to Reliance, not the other way round!

By and large it is good to have an airconditioned grocery shop in Warden Rd where at least the vegetables are reasonably priced.

Very bad retail format
Sep 22, 2008 04:36 PM 8603 Views

Once a customer buys a product its is a final sale according to reliance fresh there is a dictator regulation in the store you cannot even change your mind after you buy a product I think this is ridiculous.

If an item bought is billed and the customer decides to change the product for a different brand the store refuses to take the product even after 1 minute of the sale. They are lazy salesmen and franchisees who do not wish to work hard.

The staff is rude and not helpful and does not have adequate product knowledge salesmen run after you with fried products and force you to eat them dairy products are average and reliance stores dont have 60 % of the items available in the market most of the time

And billing is the most important aspect of these stores half of the cashiers are never there and the ones who are there take more than 1 hour for a q of 5 peole to check them out. If you are free on a sunday and wish to relax at a reliance store please do so goodluck shopping at reliance fresh

Most disorganised and inconvenient store
Sep 15, 2008 03:58 PM 8817 Views

Reliance Fresh at Tardeo is the most disorganised grocery stores I have ever been to.  They should sent their employees to the local baniya store for training in efficient store management.

To start with the store is very poorly laid out especially in the vegetable section where there is hardly any place for more than one or two people to navigate without bumping into each other.  The choice of products is nothing great compared to Big Bazaar or for that matter even compared to the local kirana stores, where even if you cannot see the product in front of your eyes, the sales boy will promptly find it for you.

The prices are also nothing great and Reliance ought to be offering  competitive prices to Big Bazaar and D Mart.  The check out arrangement is totally disorganised and the queues are a nightmare.   The staff at the check out counter take forever for each transaction.

After waiting for almost twenty minutes I was sorely tempted to just dump my things and push off, just the thought of having to buy them all over again from some other place made me wait to complete the purchase.  Never again, even by mistake.  When you visit shops like Reliance Fresh, you really appreciate the service from your neighbourhood ordinary grocery store.

To be fair, subsequently I visited RF Signature store at Warden Rd.  It is well laid out and orderly, although stocked mostly with foreign over priced products.  The vegetables are reasonably priced. There are only 3 check out counters so if there is a crowd it will take ages to get out!

Milk In Reliance Fresh is Old stock
Sep 04, 2008 11:29 AM 7267 Views

I am a regular shopped in Reliancefresh Sultanpalya(R.T.Nagar Po) . It seen repetatively that milk gets spoilt. I have complained this to the customer support manager there. He is least bothered about this and seems to neglect. Its nandini Milk I buy daily.

For my suprise I see that Packing date is erased most ot time. I am sure its a old stock they keep it. Guys be cautious in buying milk.

So far I have only purchased Nandini milk I guess its the same case with all the other brands too. Other products also as I read it just now its been sold to this Gadi wala's than to the retailers..i Strongly condemn this act of Reliance fresh.

We should have some watch dog in monitoring this and providing some solutions within the customer and the agencies. There is no doubt that Reliance is gained some momentum in the price war of groceries and most of the items are below the price that you find other fresh agencies selling. but Milk is the worst quality that one can see.

Reliance Fresh Cheats - Watch Out
Aug 09, 2008 05:44 PM 7012 Views

These big companies which are very profitable are not so

just by straight business but cheating, the local shops which existed are

better - I've gone back to the little shops.

In Bangalore, at the Hennur outlet

exactly 4 weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon about 1.30pm

a customer caught Reliance machines overcharging by about 20 rupees. That is a

product worth Rs. 59.00 was billed at Rs.79.00 and it had been going on all

morning.

Mind you one machine in the four working was fixed, not all - very clever,

these corporate ideas.

The customer had been watching this he said from several weeks, and was the

second time to him and once for another, the other customer ahd been defrauded

on a different machine indicating change of machines.

For all we know another in the four machines too may have fixed, we generally

believe these large stores done cheat and they carry the Reliance name.

Remember the cheat Reliance mobile, which ripped people's purses with fake bills and posted a profit in one year

when industry standard was 6-7 years to break even. My my and their computers conveniently crashed with only the totals without the breakups which were in another system, how convenient.

The police was called as a lot of customers too had noticed something or the

other started demanding explanations. The manager quickly agreed to a

compensation of Rs. 1000/00 to swipe the issue under the carpet - with the

police without knowing siding with Reliance. I would not be surprised if a

monthly mamool is given to close the cheating complaints.

I am sure the issue would have been closed by the Hennur Police.

Please be careful as a lot of the items are repacked or overpriced -i go to **Alldays

*supermarket nearby.

Sugar from Parry's is repacked at Rs4 -6 more

Very same Container's at 150.00 at Reliance is Rs. 90.00 at Alldays.

It’s only vegetables which are okay, nothing else. Go ahead and check other

stores, you'll get a better deal. Go to the little vegetable shops they are

much better, else buy vegetables at Reliance and everything else at a alternate

option.*

Ambanis have undoubtedly turned to cheating to post profits.

Reliance Fresh-Phase-10
Jul 08, 2008 02:36 PM 14101 Views

This was the worst ever shopping experience of mine at Reliance Fresh-Phase-10,

No responseble person is there to listen your problem.Relience has given schem of buy one-get one free on their entire plastic products range but I am sorry to say that they have not given me the free item they have charged for free item also, again one more thing which you never expect even from a lala they charged even more then the MRP.

The is my personnel advice to u all never visit Reliance fresh .

It is my very bad encounter while shopping. They display the product and write in very small letters not for sale.

They every thing in their stores but sorry to say that their management their staff is not traind and they dont know how to deal a customer.

it is never been expected from such a big brand reliance . If they are charging more than mrp is it ok.

Eat a minimum of 450-500 gms of of a variety of seasonal, locally available fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Eat whole grains, whole wheat roti, whole pulses and partially polished rice instead of fully polished rice. Try and eat home made fresh meals rather than packeted food. Eat small quantity of nuts everyday. Switch from solid to liquid fats. Include a small quantity of mustard oil in your diet. INCLUDE 2-3 portions of fish per week. If you eat meat, eat lean meat, or poultry such as chicken. Try not to add salt to food, and limit foods which are high in salt. Drink 1-2 glasses of skimmed milk everyday or eat curds made from skimmed milk.

Needs to improve a lot
Jun 07, 2008 03:11 PM 11331 Views

The store in Phase XI is the best what any project team could do for Reliance and even for Mohali. However, the same is not true when it comes to operations

I have certain experiences which are worth sharing

  1. The store has 5 billing counters. However, even during peak times not more than two are open and customers have to wait for 40-50 mins in the Queue  for getting the billing done. Just the other day, there was an old lady with a brick of ice cream and by the time she reached the counter the brick had melted. Instead of helping the customer, the two cashiers had the guts to laugh at the incident. This reflects clearly on the customer care that the staff believes in.

  2. The store offers deals in the  morning on breakfast items. Once  at 7 am, (the deal is between 6 am to 8 am) , there was not a single packet of milk and not a single loaf of bread ! Why call it deal time, when goods are  not available for sale?

  3. On most of the occasions, during the above mentioned timings; one has to go around the store to look for staff members who can do the billing !

  4. Ever since the store has started I have been requesting the supervisors and the manager to convert one of the billing counters as “fast track lane” where customers with less than 5 items are entertained. However, nothing has happened, as yet. Looks like Reliance Chandigarh office is looking to get a directive from Ambanis !!!

  5. There is a complaint register lying out there, however it appears the operation team of Reliance Chandigarh is not aware of that , other wise somebody would have filled up the column  titled Action Taken.

Reliance Mall, Jamnagar
Jun 06, 2008 06:15 PM 11522 Views

PARKING:

A generous parking space available, though not shaded.Reliance group wants their employees to spend a maximum portion of their salary inside Reliance only(KK Vagadia and VV Bhat's Idea)and that is one purpose of opening this mall.

Besides, the infrastructure readily available in the township was used for this. One entrance for employees and other entrance for outsiders thoughtfully arranged. Good idea!

No charges, but Parking is purely on the risk of the vehicle owner

CROWD PULLING TECHNIQUE:

True to Reliance style, the company runs free buses from Jamnagar(30Kms away) for people to come to this mall.If you purchase something, you are let-off.Otherwise you are charged Rs 30/-. You have to produce bill as proof of purchase.

STAFF:

The staff were brightly dressed in the beginning, but the staff and their dresses have worn-off now.Reliance and the staff seems stressed, over worked  but compelled to'smile'.Trouble for both seller and buyer, but happiness for the owner!

CUSTOMERS:

There is always a  happy crowd present at the Reliance mall, whenever I go .Free AC and ambiance thrills our people it seems.

MALL TIMINGS:

The store timings are good. If you want to avoid mad rush of crowd, go early morning or lunch time.Relaince refinery employees work from 0800-2000 hrs on all days, so utilize this time when their families and the employees are away.

LOCATION:

Located at Motikhavdi village, 30Kms from Jamnagar towards Dwarka. Not a good location.Imagine you have some problem in merchandise and you have t travel 60kms to try exchanging or returning.Nearest town is Khambalia, 30 Kms on the other side.

PRICING:

No special advantage.Fruits, vegetables etc are same outside.Branded items cost the same. Non-branded items are cheaper-but then it is the same every where.

RETURNABILITY:

Returning a wrong merchandise is very difficult.Anybody who bought first million phones under Reliance will know the pain.I you buy something wrong or inferior forget it and swallow the loss.Otherwise brace for the humiliation.Reliance has specilaist'humiliators' specially commissioned for this task!

EASE OF BUYING:*

*For buying Eggs, Milk, bread, fruits, vegetables, grocery items – loose and packets, ice-creams, etc.  credit card is accepted. The amount must be 200 or more-Otherwise strange looks from counter staff(Poor them-My heart goes out to them).

HOME DELIVERY:

Ready to deliver theorder at home within the vicinity of 2 KMs and the minimum amount is rs. 500/-.You will face the ever-tired, over-worked delivery boys with mouthful of paan, cycle ortwo wheeler and honour your delivery.Poor souls, I pity them! But Yes, Home delivery is there.

TROLLEYS, BASKETS:

Good ones.Appreciate Reliance effort!

MARKETING TACTICS:

Staff members keep asking every customer at the time of billing  whether they own'RELIANCE CARD'. Not the RIM Pre-paid, but Reliance Mall Card!

It is the card in which puts some points credited on  every purchase done here. It is half point against Rs. 100 and against 30 points I will get Rs 21 voucher etc. It is cheap and don't fall for it.The idea is get you hooked to the mall. You have to come to them from 30-40Kms just earn a point or two.

Reliance knows the mentality of our public!.

These are termed as REWARDPOINTS!

BILLING TIME:

Real pain in the back.Reliance hires semi-shilled school drop outs who have problems in Math.

Most of the times, all billing counters(3 or 4) do not have an attendant most of the time, I am sure

that there is some saving on manpower.Customer can wait is the policy here.

AMBIENCE:

Noise pollution is there due to some announcement going on at all times to ask you to purcahse Reliance Insurance, Realinace Gold, Reliance Atta etc.Really Tiring!

There is a stale smell inside, but then it is world-wide.Also sonsider the huge mass of public enjoying the cool air in summer.Since No Cigarettes etc Inside, it is cleaner and safer.

Hope No-cigarettes losts until Reliance makes their own brand of cigarettes and paan masala(It will become compulsory for their staff then!)

SALES PROMOS:

Against Rs. 599 purchase get 6 bowls or 2 pearlpet bottles, against purchase of Rs. 99/- vegetables and fruits get 1 KG potato free, against Rs.111/- of fruits and vegetables get 1 KG onion and 1 KG potato free, etc etc.Mad rush from our brothers and sisters.Reliance knows the pulse of our public!

AIR CONDITIONING:

Good for the Jamnagar heat.Go out and enjoy!

Reliance Fresh or Reliance Rotten at Mysore???!!
May 06, 2008 06:59 PM 5668 Views

RelianceFresh outlets at Mysore, specially at KD Road, can at best be called Reliance Rotten.

I wanted to purchase Fuji Apples & when I started picking up, I noticed that most of them are rotten. I showed it to attendent, he brought me some fresh apples from inside. Why don't they sort & keep only fresh material for sale. I also noticed that even the Quality of other Fruits & vegetables are rotten. I wonder how can they  risk to spoil the name of Ambani. Apples, Potato, Mango, Dhania, Brinjal, Cabbage, cauliflower, Colacia were all found rotten & when it was shown to stores attendent. The attendent, instead of sorting, mixed them up.

They also have problem of pricing. Price written at shelf may not be the same at the cash counter. They may over charge. I noticed it for an item & lodged a complaint also. 2 months have passed & now I am sure that they have no intention to reply it.

Beware! Reliancefresh customers. They are playing with our health & pockets.

Don't go for Reliance Fresh
Apr 16, 2008 12:33 PM 11674 Views

Inspired by name  R e l I a n c e    I happened to visit the Reliance Fresh Store at Phase 5, Mohali on 06-04-2008 alongwith my wife and daughter. My conclusion of the visit was, "Never to visit any Reliance Fresh Store again".

The staff at the paycounter was so harassing and sarcastic. On reaching the paycounter with our shopcart, he was found involved in some personal mobile call. This went on for around 5 minutes, when I finally asked him about his intentions of making a bill or not. He just winked sarcastically at me and then started to attend the customer who was behind us in the queue. We were shocked at such a behavior and decided to leave without buying anything. That personnel then just laughed and passed some remarks on our back.

I don't understand whether they are recruiting staff members or hooligans at the Reliance Stores.

An Impressive Beginning...
Sep 11, 2007 02:11 PM 5560 Views

Writing under Bangalore as BHOPAL not listed!!!! I was visiting my cousin in Bhopal. On the way there, I noticed a Reliance Fresh Outlet on Kolar Road, almost next door, so I just strolled down to see the outlet. This is my first look at Reliance Fresh, which has been so much in the news, and I must say I was impressed with the effort.

Whenever Reliance Group does anything, it does so on a massive scale. This retail initiative in no different, and scale is probably the fulcrum of the strategy. They are looking to build economies of scale, build buying power and cover the market they enter. I say this because on going to the railway station at Habibganj, I noticed another store, and it obviously is not the only other one! Similar was the situation at Indore... Pretty soon they might just become a major threat to small and big players alike even in the hinterland of our country. I, for one, would not be surprised if that did happen. While we have read a lot about the crores they want to put in, it was quite revealing to see their roll-out in action!

Coming to the actual store, I visited the outlet on Kolar Road, Bhopal. It is located optimally on this road, midway between sarvadharm and nayapura. To those who have not visited Bhopal, Kolar Road is the most happening area for real estate in Bhopal, alongwith Hoshangabad Road / Gulmohar. That way, it covers the enitre Kolar sector. A masterstroke of a location. I wonder of all of them are along the similar tactics.

*The Store Itself:

Pros:

*Vegetables: Abundant stocks, full range available. They have managed to almost the entire variety under one roof. You would have to roam the entire mandi to match it!

Perishables: Superb, to coin one word. Entire range of products in this category, including sub-brands {in cheese spreads, for ex, you will find plain, pepper, masala etc}. The refrigeration facility was also top of the line

Gorceries: Again abundant in the range, be it dals, rice, legumes {kabuli chana, green gram etc}, spices, ready - to - cook items {like noodles, gits etc}, biscuits & confectioneries - you name it, chances are the've got it

Floor space, layout: Excellent use of space which tends to give a roomy feel, unlike BB. Makes for an enjoyable shopping experience indeed

Merchandising / shelf stocking: Nice, neat and orderly- unlike at most super stores

Billing: Fast. I noticed something like 8 - 10 well spaced billing counters, which makes for faster turn-around. Normal super stores that have cropped up usually have 3 - 5 billing counters

Manpower: Well trained, well behaved, friendly and clear in their communication.

Bakery Items: Again well stocked. This is what makes this place unique

*Cons:

*Prices: Not exactly a disadvantage, but not the cheapest either. Differs from category to category.

Cosmetics: Woefully Insufficient. While it is not in their USP, nevertheless it is a smart move to stock this range, as Indians prefer to pick their entire monthly purchases from one place. For this  reason, this category needs to be improved upon

Soaps: Ditto. I treat this as separate as this is one area that they really need improvement

Freshness: The vegetables did not look to be fresh.

Durables / Luggage: Why keep them? Better use the space for something else!

Overall, I came away highly impressed with my first visit to a Reliance Fresh outlet. It is going to be very interesting to see how they develop. My only disconnect: they are trying for too much, mixing a gorcery outlet into a one-stop shop a la BB

Bangalore India
Awful Useless Store
Sep 11, 2007 09:29 AM 5207 Views

This is regarding a small incident that happened at Marthalli, Bangalore.A bunch of unprofessional people - including Area Manager by the name Mr.XXXXXX. If the leader is like this then you can think of others.

This is what happened - It was my second shopping at the place. In the 1st shopping, I had bought couple of things including some cookies, nicely packed ones. But when you opened that and ate it, it was awful.

So this time, I wanted to buy grapes, loose open one (not packed ones) .when I saw some grapes, I knew the grapes were pretty sour from my previous buying from a street side vendor and it was a waste. I thought to taste one, to check whether Reliance fresh is really different from street side vendor in quality or we are just paying for their advertisement, the hot and cold temperature in a cramped space and making Ambani families richer day by day,

I did tell that to one of the person, who identified himself as Area manager, this is what he said in a sarcastic manner, this is retail industry, you only buy and if you do not like it you come and return it. But that hardly happens in your day to to day life. So we had an argument, instead of he being polite, he just started being rude from then on, absolutely shoddy customer service.

I did put this in the complain register page no 1, and just waiting to see, if these people really read the complaint and take action and I doubt if this would happen.

Reliance Fresh or Reliance Stale
Aug 30, 2007 01:05 PM 4970 Views

I had been to the Reliance Fresh outlet at NR colony, Banashankari yesterday. I bought some vegetables and picked up a canned drink. The freezer(three, about the size of large cupboards with all perishable items in it) was not working. I mentioned it to the guy at the bill counter, who in turn told that to another lady staff nearby and she said "No, its working!". Then she went to the freezers TO SWITCH IT ON and set the temperature to 21C!

I had picked up a pack of Nilgiris Yogurt, and since the guy at the counter did not know whether it could have got spoilt or not, I quietly replaced it.

By the time all this happened, we had already billed a pack of Amul Cool Flavoured milk. Later I noticed that the expiry date was just 3 days away(6 months validity). As I had half-consumed it, I felt sick at the thought of drinking outdated stuff.

So Reliance customers, dont be fooled by the prices. Please be careful about selecting items anywhere. Look for the expiry date and inform the staff, if necessary.

Bangalore India
THE MOST USELESS STORE
Aug 20, 2007 07:34 PM 5480 Views

I had visited Reliance Store in Frazer Town, Bangalore on the 4th of June and made a purchase of Rs.247.27/-. I had made payment through my ICICI card.

The cashier had erroneusly swiped the card for 547.27/-. Since the cashier was not able to reverse the amount immediately the card was again swiped for the correct amount.

I was promised the amount would reversed into my account as soon as possible. I was not allowed to make purchases for the amount wrongly debited.

Today is the 20th of August and I havent received the money in my account.

I would have called and visited this useless store "N" number of times for the mistake made by them but all in vain.

The concerned accounts persons(Selvi and Mahesh) keep giving excuses and now refuse to come on the phone.

I would rather pay more but will **never enter this store ever again.

*If the needful is not done immediately, I will be forced to take necessary action.

Rs.500 and odd might be a small amount for the store and the Ambani's but not for us.The pain we have gone through is nowhere compared to the amount.

Bangalore India
Can be much better
Jul 27, 2007 01:44 PM 4919 Views

The only problem that I have with Reliance Fresh is that it is always over crowded. The vegetables are generally fresh and the prices are comparable to that of a street-side vegetable vendor. Even other groceries and spices are reasonably priced.

They should really think about reducing their billing time per customer. Currently I spend close to 20 minutes before the billing counter and it is very irritating. Also, they should introduce packing mechanism like that of Foodworld where in the items are packed into pre-weighed bags / bundles. This reduces the time a customer spends inside the store and the billing time would drastically reduce.

And they should strictly sell only the food stuff. Off late it's being seen that they are slowly trying to sell other consumer durables and this would certainly take away the USP of Reliance Fresh.

And Reliance should also think of introducing a door-delivery mechanism. Many of the competitors are already doing this.

Bangalore India
Not fully customer oriented
Jun 01, 2007 08:28 AM 4570 Views

It is only on the price front that Reliance Fresh scores.  It also house compratively better technology for quick billing.

Billing counter and path is too narrow and always congested with empty baskets that are thrown after billing and packing. None of the May I help customer service executive bothers about it.

They could have also arranged for washbasin for people to wash their hands after picking vegetables.  Similarly they should have some kind of handling equipment, particulalry for picking chillies.

I also noticed sometimes the packing bags provided are small, when particulalry I want to buy 3 to 4 kgs of onions.  I may not have patience to collect 3 or 4 bags to fill only onions and kind of other vegetables which normally are bought more than 1 kg.

Vegetable stock-outs are too frequent which forces us to repeat our purchase at some other location.

Priviidng shoppint carts in addition to baskets can add to the convenience.  Separate counters for those who wish to buy items other than vegetables(like cereals, soaps, sugar coffee powder) can also be helpful.

Does the slogan applies here too

The slogan given by the ambanis, the dream come true, to make india a better place to stay, giving every man a phone, did really increase the profit of the ambanis which ruled for quite some time, but at the cost of the common mans pocket, where people ended up in paying huge amount of phone bills, and to extreme cases reliance in bangalore even appointed people who were called RECOVERY AGENTS who terrified people to pay up the phone bills, who threatened the guts out of people, so finally the promised dreams of making india a better place was gone in thin air, where are the promos and agendas created by the company, it was not very well organised, any one who had a little to invest took the dealerships and most of them were people who never had the catch of the business, but were to make only profits offered by the master company, so ended up in giving the phones, manufactured by the company on cheaper rates or as offers or as promotional packs, which was a failure in fact, but a huge success to these recovery people again goondas who have no morals in life of course what can you ever expect of them.

Now its the supermarkets, trying to do another breakthrough, have the Ambanis started farming also cause the mobile didnt work, again trying to hit the common man of his profit, of course the rates comparitively may be low, but have anyone imagined the poor mans plight who sells on the street to feed his family, common its his lively hood, people drink, smoke, and spend on other lavishness, but will not give 50 p more to a person who comes to your door step and saves your time and energy, common friends, this is India we are not yet compleately ready for expensive shopping malls who tax, in spite of declaring themselves as the cheapest, there is compitations every where, we as people need to fight aganist all these corruptions and appointed goondas who spend their lives on other peoples money

did you know my dear citizens of India, we are paid peanuts by the so called multinational garment industries who buy clothes manufactured by us and sell them in other countries for a whooping rate when you convert the money, I recently saw a news which was blood boiling, people were paid so less that they had to survive lesser than a price of a T Shirt sold in the western countries, how long are we going to take this, people work for a whole month for a price of a shirt, and we are prous to wear them as branded imported clothes? why are people not aware of all these stuff, if only our leaders can fight over all thes matters instead of fighting for seats power and money, we would make one of the best countries, because we have the talent and recources which is sadly today even after independence is been exploited because of some money hungry people

wake up people pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
