Reliance Fresh - Bhayander - (Near Maxus Mall)
Apr 06, 2013 04:34 PM 9410 Views

It was a very bad experience in Reliance Fresh- Bhayender - (Near Maxus Mall).

1) No Stock Available - In spite of the Beginning of the Month.

2) Whatever it was available was from 2012 Stock.

3) We went to upper floor to shop and to our shock we had to come down pulling our trolley through the staircase. No help.

4) The staff is not clean, cultured. Not Hygenic.

5) The swipe care machine nit working. Staff only standing in one corner and watching. Then they say half cash and half card not accepted.

6) Last but not the least no porter to even carry till our vehicle. we filled stock in the bags after billing.

Over All - Reliance Fresh - Sucks Its pathetic. Better to go to local shop and buy, which wuld be far bettr than these so called BRANDS.

A stale experience
Mar 28, 2013 03:56 PM 3618 Views

There is a Reliance Fresh Outlet in Kadavanthra, Cochin for the last six years. The shop is located in a prime location and is patronised by lot of people. Unfortunately. the condition of the outlet is shabby. On 27th March, 2013 I went to the shop to purchase my daily requirements of vegetables etc around 12.30 pm.

The shop is generally opened by 7.30-8 am. At 12.30 the shop staff are busy arranging the vegetables. The floor is being cleaned by the cleaning staff and the whole place is full of flies. The customers are unable to get the items of the choice since none of the vegetables and fruits are arranged in the crates, All the crates are stacked up one of another. The staff are also not keen to serve the customers. It is sheer callousness of the staff of the shop. None of the top managers are available to raise a complaint.

Thanks to the major retail outlets customers are able to purchase the items of their choice. But that  does not mean the staff should be negligent and not attend to the customers.

When the shop opens in the morning it is the responsibility of the shop manager or who ever is in-charge of the shop to see that the shop is kept clean and clean it when customers start visiting the shop

I did not get any top executives to whom I could raise my complaint hence I am using mouth shut to express my displeasure.

Reliance fresh-Indiranagar selling rotten rice
Mar 04, 2013 09:00 PM 6930 Views

I had purchased 25Kg bag of rice for Rs 927/  from Reliance fresh Marathahalli , Outer ring road, Bangalore after seeing Reliance advertisement in paper   on   25th Feb13.

I opened  the bag and cooked the rice which I had purchased from them.

I found that  cooked rice was giving bad smell like dead  cockroaches  smell which cannot be tolerated. and rice is not fit  for human consumption.I am afraid it is rotten rice, which Reliance fresh is selling in Closed bag with big advertisements.

i had complained  regarding rotten rice sold by  Reliance Fresh  to the Manager -Marathahalli-outer ring roadoutlet  and requested him  to take back the rice bag , but he declined saying he could not do so once it is purchased. It is very strange to note that at first instance Reliance fresh is selling  , contaminated , rotten rice and then  not accepting the  poor quality.and denying replacement.

By this , I would like to state that it will be my   last visit to Reliance Fresh and I would not recommend to any one to make  any purchases from Reliance Fresh and advise all  not to be lured by any Reliance companies  big advertisements  splashed regularly in Newspapers.

No Parking
Nov 12, 2012 04:34 PM 4148 Views

Reliance Fresh located on Kalidasa Road ( K D Road) Mysore is a popular store for nearby residents. However what surprises me is that there is no parking available. The basement which I believe is to be used for parking is shut and the side opposite to the store where people park vehicles illegally has a No Parking sign placed.

I wonder why cannot Reliance look into providing proper parking facility. Ultimately this is going to benefit them in turn.

Avoid Reliance Fresh Stores

I could never find a fresh vegetable in reliance fresh stores. The store keepers are very busy loading new packets of very rotten vegetables.

I had to search for an hour for half KG of onion. Spar is a better option for vegetables and other stuff..

Reliance fresh not recommended
Sep 06, 2012 05:57 AM 7495 Views

We visited the reliance fresh store at new central jail road in Bangalore.

I must say the store employees treated us very badly and on that they didn't even gave us the bill.on asking bill they told us why will you need bill and even though they they aren't aware of the offerings in the store and on enquiring one of the offerings they told us its your wish if you want to visit our store.

This is ridiculous. They should have proper training and classes how to treat customers.

A fast way to unfreshen yourself!

As soon as you enter Reliance fresh store, you will realise that staff is there to help you serve THEM! They show zero interest in helping you with anything there. Either they are paid very badly which frustration seems to be taken out on us or they are seriously demotivated.

Today I went to buy chocolates for my kids birthday. I wanted help in locating big numbers of certain chocolates, I asked for help from a store assistant (name given was Devendra but I heard guys calling him 'Happy'). He vanished for 20 minutes and I had to finally go search for him. No explanation given, he just said I was coming to tell you that we have no stock. So I asked him when did he intend to tell me that. No answer. I asked for the supervisor (name given was Surendra Morya) I was told he was busy on a 'concall'. I said does he know what's happening here? No answer. On earlier occasions too they have never been helpful in helping us buy more and better, if this is their secret of improving user experience then its a sad joke and the joke is on them. I would advise them to learn a few lessons from smaller stores like magnet. Learn from food bazzar.

Then I tried to look for some contact people from reliance fresh. No such thing exists. There are some random websites which are a huge joke, only am not sure on whom. Even the RIL website does not have enough details for anything. I cant fathom the reason why the RIL site should be so very basic in information.

They don't accept cards
May 27, 2012 07:34 PM 7760 Views

Reliance fresh in basaweshar nagar - they don't accept cards, kidding me? no its true this is because their machine to swipe cards does not work, any cards does not work because machine do not work. they send people to get money from atm after shopping, it is infact very irritating. Same is the case from past 2 months. it is acceptable from any small retailer not from someone like reliance. Staff there are least bothered about this issue, they talk rude as if we are asking credit from them or as if we are going to their house for asking something.

I am not sure if administrators know this issue.

Reliance fresh- Fresh food stuff
Feb 04, 2012 05:37 PM 10190 Views

Reliance fresh have longest chain in pune city, this shops are available in Aundh, kothrud, kalyani nagar, pashan, DP road, Kharadi etc. and many times I have visited their Aundh branch market. This is very super market, mainly it is famous for vegetables, and food related stuff.

Vegetables from this market are always fresh, I used to buy many things from this mall. Its a big mall, Reliance Fresh has various household essentials available including cereals, pulses, oil and ghee, personal care products, deodorants, frozen food, kitchenware, dairy products and other groceries.

Reliance fresh give really fresh items.

Opinion on Reliance Fresh Discount coupon.
Dec 25, 2011 01:28 AM 7635 Views

For a month Reliance Fresh in Koramangala 1st Block counter was  distributing coupon announcing shop save rupees 50 gift voucher for  250/- Redeemable on purchase of 500/-at Reliance Mart.and super.( mark  the word Mart ).

The biggest joke is that the discount can be redeemable at Reliance Mart or Super in Bannerghatta Main Road. One purchase at Koramangala 1st Block to redeem 50/-, got to go to  Bannerghatta in which my traveling fare cost (to and from) more than the  gift voucher.

I told the counter if one purchases the goods from  Yeshwanthpur (North ) and to Bannerghatta (South). Can you imagine the  traveling fare. That is ridiculous advertisement for Reliance Mart or Super in Bannerghatta.

I felt really cheated

Reliance fresh
Aug 18, 2010 12:22 PM 8362 Views

I am a regular customer to reliance fresh since more than three years, have been procuring provisions from the branch at Amruthhalli main road., bytarayanapura., Bangalore

Reliance fresh had issued a card which can be used for accumulating points with every purchase and these points thus accumulated can be redeemed for future purchases.

In june third week, When I tried to purchase goods against the accumulated bonus points I was shocked to know that my bonus points were encashed.

Since I had never encashed the bonus points, I fail to understand how somebody else could have encashed these points without my knowledge and my signature.

I had even requested the details as to when and where these points were claimed, the manager and computer operator informed that they can not trace the details.

And my regular followup with the manager with the Reliance fresh branch at Amruthhalli main road., by tarayanapura. Bangalore did not yield any positive result .

As I could not get satisfactory reply form the manager of the reliance fresh as above I had complained to their toll free no on 23rd of June and Mr. Raj kumar who had attended the call and taken the details, assured me that “within seven working days” I will get a reply, and it is more than 45 days since my call, I am still awaiting for the same .

What I fail to understand is.How without presenting my card somebody else have encashed my bonus points?

Is there no system like verifying the name, address signature, before such encashment is done? No basic verification was done at all? How come they are not in a position to provide me the details as to when and where this encashment was done?

Selling Strategy
Oct 12, 2009 04:16 PM 8040 Views

When it started, the Vegetables and Fruit's quality vs price was great. But the chain could not cash-on its initial 'best' image because of focus on another products which were expensive. Reliance Fresh should be the store for Fruits, Vegetables, Milk and milk related products.

The time of opening should be 4 AM. The close time may be 8 PM. If Mukesh Ambani focus on procurement of quality products & on its preservation system, Reliance Fresh would become boon to the Indian Mass and a great job for the nation otherwise it is going to be on dying path, as had been his earlier venture of saree and garment stores.

A seperate chain of Reliance Groceries & Household may be started for other products. The quality of the products from Reliance had always been great but the marketing efforts had not been good enough. The price of initial product should always considerabely be lower than the best available in the market.

But Reliance kept its noodle prices equal to MAGGI while its quality was very much superior compared to Maggi, lateron it had to introduce the schemes, to offload the stock creating image among the customers that the product is failure and being pushed in the market.

Slackness & unfair practices
Oct 08, 2009 05:03 PM 7950 Views

This store is kept relatively neat. It was originally airconditioned, but after a few months, they stopped switching the AC on. So it gets very hot inside, with no windows or other air inlets. When there is a large number of customers, it gets very stuffy.

Sometimes there are good deals for some items. Many times, we have to look around, go and request some staff to pack loose items like rice. Most of the staff seem uninterested in their jobs; though there are some exceptions.

The staff definitely need training - especially those at the billing counter who look as if it is a big burden that you have come there to shop. Many a time, only one counter is open, even if there is a queue. Other staff can be seen chatting callously.

They never keep enough change. They do not have change, even towards the end of the day., The rounding in the bill was proper - rounded to the nearest 50 paise. For the last 2 or 3 months, I notice that it is always ROUND UP to the next higher 50 paise. So 391.10 will become 391.50. Then the fellow will say he does not have change, and take 392. So 90p is swiped from one customer - there are lakhs of customers countrywide.

From October first week, they have stopped giving carrybags, and give Chinese cloth bags instead, charging 1 rupee per bag. There is a small notice pasted stating that this is an environment friendly measure. This misplaced environment consciousness will not fool anybody, since all the Reliance brand products (like sugar) come packed in plastic covers - it is as if only carry bags pollute the environment! They should give the cloth bag free for customers buying for, say, over 100 rupees.

Kagdaspura Branch - Staffs spoil brand name
Sep 18, 2009 03:59 PM 8795 Views

Title says everything.

I'm not complaining about whole Reliance Fresh network but my experience with Kagdaspura branch is very bad.

Staffs never update price tags. Today I bought India gate classic Basmati rice, the rack price was Rs 119 and when I went for billing they asked me to pay Rs 121.

I asked them about the difference and the lady replied saying that she will pay the difference. This shows their negligence, arrogance and how they value their customers.

They cannot help you find things. At times I feel like as though I'm in a RTO office in bangalore :) I would rather prefer a local small shop which values customers than going to reliance fresh. This review is based on my personal experience and I have seen so many other customers fighting at billing counter.

But this time it happened to me. Also, today I checked Kiwi and Litchi, its full of fungus and none of the packs have price tag Once again, I'm not complaining about whole Reliance Fresh network but just my experience with the one in Kagdaspura.

I would like to know from fellow reviewers if this can be brought to the notice of some higher officials in Reliance, so that these staffs don't spoil the brand value.

Ehsaan kar rahe hain hum, business nahin!
Sep 08, 2009 07:00 PM 8823 Views

One of the reasons to finalise our flat was that we have a supermarket right outside our house. so close that it was safe to let my little girl go to pick up small items. considering sheer convenience, yes. But however, one is disappointed because the selection is very less.

Each item has few brands and it leaves one with little or no choice. The "fresh" factor applies only in the early morning or evening when the vegetables and fruits are brought-in. Just a few minutes down the line, the place resembles like a village bazaar with most of the food lying on the ground-stamped and trampled. it is actually a disgusting sight.

Barely a couple of cashiers are available during the peak time. if one asks, the answer is standard-people not available. To top it all, barely do these guys have change ever. Compared to the main store "delight" is actually a delight if you forget the lack of variety and focus on customer service. I believe reliance fresh has actually never justified the existing opportunities.

Reliance Fresh - Just alike any other shop
Aug 22, 2009 01:25 PM 7508 Views

Me, Satya, residing in Kaggadasapura/DRDO/C.V.Raman Nagar, Bangalore, a regular visitor of Reliance Fresh located at Kaggadasapura Main Road near DRDO next to Dominnos Pizza.

I see regular complaints in several websites against Reliance Fresh. Agreeing those, below is my summarized view:

CONS( -)

1) Poor Administration:(Might vary for individual outlet)

a) Help desk people, billing people - need training on ENGLISH, basic manners and card swapping.

b) Refilling mechanism need improvement for the shelves where item is over.

c) Less Number of Staff/counter to handle the rush leading avg 30 mins wait time on wkend

d) Free/Charged Home Delivery service which is quite cocmmon in Bangalore is missing

2) Poor Company Policy:(Seems aplicable for all outlets)

a) Promoting reliance branded items by not keeping wide range of other known popular brands.

b) Replacement policy is not customer friendly

c) Poor Cusotmer Care(phone) and no Customer Care(Web)-on spot help desk is miserable

d) Freshness/Quality of Fruits and Vegetables are debatable(compared to road side small vendors)

e) No grievence addressing mechanism(or even present but not affective)

PROS(+)(That is why there is rush in spite of all above bad features)

a) Availability of all kind of products under one roof(provided you compromise your preferred brand, provided you compromise quality of vegetable and fruits and provided you are OK to wait in long queue on wkends and last but not least, if you are OK with the replacement policy[check this first beucase you invariable might need it today or tomorrow as I said quality is debatable])

b) You have the choice to pick up any quantity(even 1 tomato or 1 green mirch -:))

c) No need to burgain as all are fixed price

d) Credit cards accepted

e) Reward points available which are reedemable

SUGGESTION IS DO NOT TRUST ON WORDS AND HAVE A VISIT - IT MIGHT SUIT FOR YOU - BUT DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING "EXTRA-ORDINARY"JUST BECUASE THE WORD "RELIANCE" IS ATTACHED IN THE NAME - IT IS JUST LIKE ANY OTHER NORMAL SHOP(roadside vendor or multi-chain retail outlet like Nilgiri, Subhiksha, Mega Mart, M.K.Retail, Star Bazar, BIG Bazar etc.) - TO EXCEL IN THE COMPETIOTN, THEY INITIALLY TOOK THE "CHEAPER PRICE" MECANSIM AS INSTRUMENT - BUT NOW IT IS OVER(SO NO MORE MAGIC).

Reliance fresh super markets in kerala
May 06, 2009 02:24 PM 7758 Views

Of late Reliance have launched a few outlets in various parts of kerala, , under the name and style Reliance Fresh, including Trivandrum, kerala where Iam at present. I have seen the super market trend has been here in kerala for long, as people wish to get everything under one roof, which avoids running pillar to post for their daily needs!

The major players around here are the Spencers, Varkeys, Nilgiris and of course Triveni and supplyco run by the Government of kerala.

The quality of service observed in the Govt run outlets are not up to the mark, though the goods are reasonably priced, .but availability is a big issue.

so far as Reliance made their entry here, they were offering quite a lot of goodies with every purchase to hook in customers. The venture by Mukesh Ambani is laudable, and I personally feel he is keeping the good will earned by his Father, intact. I regularly visit their outlets for the household requirements, and quite satisfied with the service and quality of goods.

Only I find vegetables at times are not as fresh as it should have been at least to justify the name!

However the product array is very broad, and ofcourse this feature alone wiil make customers throng, and if the Agency do some R&D on the marketing side to catch up with the current consumer trends, especiallly in a "highly consumeristic "state like kerala, it would repay its dividents in geometric progression.

well, join you later

RELIANCE REFRESHING
Apr 16, 2009 05:12 PM 36656 Views

Reliance fresh @ RMV is my favourite joint for shopping my daily needs including vegetable, fruits and some groceries. In the beginning I used to shop at Fraser town when it opened newly in 2006. Those were the days when Reliance had the philosophy that they should compete with vegetable vendors. The vegetable vendors @ Fraser town outbeat their strategy by emptying the stores within 30 minutes. Stock out was a frequent phenomenon.

This was really frustrating as a consumer, instead of agitating against Reliance management vendors were happy to empty their shelf and defeat the purpose of passing on the gain. The management increased the frequency of refilling but it never succeeded in preventing the stock outs.

In UP the hawkers went on rioting against Reliance fresh. It forced them to down the shutters. Even today I am not sure Reliance has opened their showrooms. Nevertheless the Reliance management learnt the trick and the ropes to increase the price almost to market levels. Instead they planned to disburse loyalty points.

There is no substitute for great team work. This is proved in the store employees loyalty in serving the customers. I used to complain to them that there were stock outs of Goodlife, Amul curds, Paneer etc. Now they have improved their supply chain in these items. Mushrooms are always available in the outlet, but it is tad expensive and I avoid purchasing them. Vegetables are nowerdays in far and few quantities due to the fear of getting rotten.

There is acute shortage of power in Blore and malls have been advised to switch off their AC s in the morning hours. A novel solutions have been arrived to supply vegetables in the morning hours so that it does not raise a stink in the night. Remember Subiksha, the outlet used to raise a stink as soon as one enters. Instead of inviting customers it used to repel the customer and keep the employees in bad mood. Some employees are provided with tablets above their PC for fainting as an exigency.(guess the Mall)

With regard to pricing I find that Reliance comes out with some scheme or the other. The recent scheme is the that of scratch card. On every purchase of 300 the customer is entitled for scratch card. Prize amount varies from 25 to 300. I was lucky to get once 100 off coupon and other times 25 and 50 off. I keep collecting points on each and every purchase too.

On purchase of 1 litre tetra pack of Amul milk, till recently they used to give Rs 5 off, but now the scheme has been withdrawn. No other Mall was offering this facility which obviously means they were pocketing the same. B Natural apple juice is now available @ 49 per litre. I have not found this scheme in other stores as on date.

However one of negatives is that there is no non veg available in the MALL. Probably it is for the fear of raising a stink. I think they will definitely find a solution in future. Maybe have a seperate enclosure. I am sure Mukesh ambani s ambiition to delight the customer will be fulfilled. But I am not happy with their Digital counter. I hope other Reliance fresh outlets emulate RMV stores. It definitely deserves another review

Reliance Does not care for anything
Mar 17, 2009 09:12 AM 6782 Views

Weekend, only thing comes into my mind is to get vegetables and groceries. So every Saturday it is a scheduled job for me. I choose reliance fresh because; it is near to my house, has a bit fresh goods.

This is regarding Marathalli (BANGALORE) outlet. But first problem is parking of my bike. Every weekend the police will be roaming with the towing lorry to pick vehicles from the store (for wrong parking). Because there will a big rush at the store and have very less parking provided by Reliance Fresh (hardly 5 bikes can accustom).

I am a customer for the store from last one and half year every time I need to be worried about my bike while shopping here. Why doesn’t the management take action on this? I have reached the store manager many times and asked. I got a Blank face (I could see an answer “It is your wish…if you want to come or go)….

Secondary is the A/c of the store……..It looks like they need to save money on the power…they never switch on the A/c….If you cannot afford for A/c in the store why did u design in such a manner…The store can have good window system where there will a free flow of AIR. Just imagine the smell of vegetables and no A/c you are in a closed store with not less than 100 people inside it, holding the basket and waiting in a queue for billing( I will comment on this in next para).

Queue for billing…a big circus you need to either do inky pinky ponky and stand in one queue or ask your mate to stand in one queue and you in one….you have be a double gamer if you would like deal with Reliance brother…….

I feel rather best way is avoid the store to go to the regular market and get fresh vegii from it….For me the good market is 12 KM far…..so I am forced to go to RELIANCE FRESH…If some one from the managerment team of RELIANCE FRESH read this…..Request you to please try to be more organized…don’t take the advantages of us……
