I would like to highlight a case of false promise and cheating done by the employees of Reliance Digital Kothrud to customers.
I was planning to purchase Samsung 65Q70T and had already got quotation from Chrome and Vijay Sales with 2 years of extended warranty. On the way back to my home, I saw Reliance Digital Kothrud branch and thought to make an enquiry over there.
I met Akash(Mobile number 8788386220) at this branch and he explained me the price and extended warranty offered by Reliance digital. From start, I was clear that I wanted TV with 2 years of extended warranty. This person gave me quotation(which is still present in my rough papers) for price of TV with two years of extended warranty. In between either he was bit confused or made me confused by mixing that the two years of extended warranty provided by Reliance is separate from 1 or 2 years of warranty provided by Samsung. At last he gave me promise that he will give me 2 years of extended warranty which will be provided by Reliance. When I came for billing, then he said that warranty kit is not available but he will send me once the store has warranty kit.
Today I called Reliance customer care for installation process and I just thought to get it confirmed that I have two years of extended warranty as I have not got the kit from him. To my surprise I came to know that this gentleman has sold me one year of extended warranty instead of giving me 2 years of extended warranty. When I called him, he said that two years of warranty is provided by Reliance. He probably does not know the difference in warranty provided by Samsung and Reliance and the 1 year warranty provided by Samsung and extended warranty. Or he did this false commitment just to get the order. When I said him that I wanted to talk to store manager, then he connected me with someone and he said that he will look into the matter and will let me know. That person didnt called me later. If that person was Store Manager of Kothrud branch, then probably all persons of Kothrud branch is involved in making false promise to the customer. Also, the warranty kit was given, so that these persons false promise could be hidden till the time billing is not done.
From start I was clear that I wanted two years of extended warranty from seller apart from 1 or 2 years provided by Samsung. And so I have quotes from Vijay Sales and Croma both with 2 years warranty. I have their quotation with me right now also.
This employee has cheated me and made false promise of 2 years of extended warranty. With this experience, I promise that I will never buy anything from Reliance Digital. I have all the proofs with me that I asked for 2 years of extended warranty and this gentlemen gave me commitment for 2 years of extended warranty and I can show these proofs.
Would Reliance Digital afford to have dent of false promise and cheating at this time when Amazon and Croma is giving it a tough competition? I vow never to visit Reliance Digital and will share my this experience with others so that people dont get trapped by such Reliance stores.
