Never Get Conned By Their Offer Of Resq

I had availed of ResQ plan for my HP laptop. When I had a issue with the keyboard, firstly they were reluctant to take the laptop for service. After a lot of persuasion, they took it only to be returned after a week saying they would require a week more.


Their customer service representative Mr. Uday and service manager Venkat never picked our calls. They were so callous and irresponsible I was shocked.


I am determined not to avail of ResQ anymore.

I purchased washing machine from Reliance digital HSR layout. After paying full amount it was told to me that it would be delivered next day, but no one came, after calling number of times they did not respond properly and it was not delivered even after 3 days.


They always told that driver is on the way but he never came. Do not believe people who have written positive comments about reliance digital, they are making fool of all the readers.


I strongly recommend not to purchase anything from them.

We wanted to buy a refrigerator and microwave for us and were shopping for a good deal and visited many stores in thane area. We were attracted to Reliance Digital showroom as we had many products and different models under one roof. After 2 visits and spending around 30-45 mins each visit, we decided to buy Samsung Refrigerator and Microwave.


Checkout was smooth and I was committed delivery in couple of days for both the items.


Sales rep Mr. Rajesh kept microwave utensils pending as it was not in stock. He committed to deliver it within a week. Wait time for delivery was normal.. they delivered microwave first and then Fridge.


Fridge delivery was disappointed as it was delivered without box just in bubble wrap. I requested those delivery boys to open it up but they denied by telling that they were instructed not to open it unless their 'demo' person arrives. So I could not check delivered product. For Microwave, I opened it myself and fixed it and started using it on same day without waiting for 'demo' man to come.


After couple of days, the 'demo' man arrived and to his and mine surprise, we found 2 big dents on fridge door. Demo man promptly reported back to office and asked me why I did not check at the time of delivery. Agitated me told him what was delivery team advised me. He promptly took pictures and went back that day.


Then the real drama started...it took 4/5 weeks to get the replacement of same model and brand. I used to receive at least 5-6 calls per day asking me the story with the delivered fridge. Reliance Digital is such a non-organized company which does not have simple centralized customer information system to track the delivery, issues etc.


Then there were advice to use the fridge with dent door till they deliver fresh piece which I strictly refused and we were without fridge for around 4/5 weeks. I followed up with store, tried to reach Mr. Rajesh over phone, heard not available in office , then he was 'sick', on 'leave' etc... whenever I could get him, heard false commitments about delivery.


I was about to go to the store on a busy Sunday evening when store is full of potential customers and decided to give big shout about false promises. But luck was in their favor, I received a phone call that fridge of same model is available and ready for delivery. Finally it arrived at home with proper packing and good condition (yes, I opened it immediately). I gave a blast to the delivery boy who asked me about the original package box of dented fridge and refused to give the new to him.


Since fridge saga was completed, I moved to microwave utensils those were pending with them which I was following up for since its delivery date. Again same story of false commitment, promises repeated and after whole 1.5 months I had to drive to their store to get that crap set of utensils.


So a piece of advice from me, never buy anything from Reliance Digital. This company lacks organized delivery structure, sales guys can't keep commitments and poor support. You should go there only to check appliances of different brands and prices then buy from other stores to ensure satisfaction.

Update on 7th August:




  1. No call from Bosch




  2. No call or person from Reliance. The gave me a false promise yesterday that they will send their installer along with Bosch installer to fix the machine. My call and SMS to their manager were not replied to.




  3. I got the machine installed by my electrician and it is working. I ordered the detergent, salt etc online for Rs. 800, including courier charges (against Rs. 1000 asked by reliance person for the same product)






Update on 6th August:


The reliance person who did the installation yesterday gave the following concluding remarks:




  1. There is no earthing in the socket in my utility room hence I should call an electrician and get it fixed. I should not use the machine till it is fixed. No DEMO was given.




  2. I was told that the legs in the machine cannot be adjusted and to save the machine from being rusted from the bottom, I should buy a stand from Reliance Digital (costing about Rs. 1000).




  3. He will get me soap, salt, etc. (which will cost Rs. 2000, for two months supply) then only I can use the machine.






Here is what I found today when I read the manual of Bosch and called the electrician:




  1. Proper earthing is there in the socket in the utility room! The plug that THE GREAT GERMAN company has provided has only two pins, there is no pin for Earth. This is a standard European plug which is not meant for Indian system (proof that we are only getting Germany quality!!). This company Bosch is not even taking care of safety of the users in India by providing wrong electrical plugs without compatible Earth.




  2. In the manual it is clearly mentioned that the legs can be adjusted by about 20 mm. So why was I suggested to buy the stand from Reliance?




  3. I never got the soap etc. and demo was not given.




  4. When I called the installation guy, he had some lame excuses. After all he got an empty installation report signed by me yesterday, so why would he be bothered?






I think the Bosch Germans are really "Mad about their Machines". They are giving machines which do have have India compatible water inlet and electrical point, playing with the lives of the buyers. Only god know how they claim that machines are designed to work in India conditions!! I did not get any call from Bosch regarding installation (I had left a feedback on their website also). I got a call from Reliance Digital installation manager (or something like that) and he has promised me that tomorrow both the Reliance and Bosch engineers will come and get the installation done. So next post tomorrow!!


Update on 5th August:


No news from Bosch. I guess they are happy that they do not have to do the installation. Reliance people were not willing to take the product back (though it is in packed condition). I am not left with any choice but to get the installation done by Reliance Digital. They did an average installation and demo. Overall Bosch service is hopeless, Reliance is a shade better but average.


Update on 3rd August:


Reliance Digital people have offered to do the complete installation for me. No news from Bosch. Why should we buy devices from such a company which does not hear the consumer feedback and does not make equipment more friendly to Indian conditions?


I purchased a Bosch dishwasher, Bosch clothes dryer and LG microwave from Reliance Digital in Inorbit Hyderabad on 31st July 2013. The products were delivered on 1st August 2013. The Bosch installation person called me on 3rd August (after several calls to Reliance Digital to get the installation done) that he will come sometime in the day for installation.


He came in the afternoon and looked at the utility area where the device was to be installed and asked me to get a plumber and some reducers, nipples etc so that the dishwasher can be installed. I said that I have a tap and a ’T’ with a dummy in the utility and he should take it forward from there and connect the appliance. To my utter shock he told me that Bosch has given instructions to him that he should not touch the plumbing line and it is customer’s responsibility to get a plumber. When I asked him that why he did not inform me that I need a plumber with these parts before he comes to my flat, he had no answer.


He said that he can get a plumber later and I will have to pay Rs. 600 to get the installation. I was told that the machine has a ¾ inch pipe and plumbing in my flat is ½ pipe. He said that ½ inch pipe is a norm in every household and all the other people also get a plumber! I asked him to leave and called Reliance Digital. Their manager promised me that he will send someone to do the installation. The guy from Reliance came and he also asked for the same plumbing pieces to be bought and installed.


I was totally taken aback. Don't they know that a normal Indian house has what kind of plumbing and that their machines do not have sockets that fit into such plumbing? Can’t they carry these small things with them when they do the installation? If they cannot carry this stuff can they not inform the customer while selling the device and before coming for installation to make suitable provisions?


I guess the hidden motive it to create this confusion and charge exorbitant when the customer is helpless. I am very dissatisfied with both Bosch and Reliance.


BTW, when the appliances were delivered to my flat the delivery persons were demanding money and forced me to pay them. They were begging for 10 rupees more after I had paid them Rs. 100.


Also the person who came to install the dishwasher installed a microwave that I purchased along with the dishwasher. After the installation of microwave he tried a lot to sell me a two years extended warranty. He told me that as Ramzan is going on, Reliance is offering free service to 5 additional equipment when I pay Rs. 1200 towards extended warrantee of microwave.


When I asked him to give me the details of the free service procedure he showed me a booklet which has coupons. Again I was saved from getting fleeced as there was only one coupon of free service, remaining were some 10-15% off on service and accessories.


Overall, never buy Bosch and never from Reliance Digital. Bosch service people are unprofessional and Reliance Digital will try best to fleece money from you. My Dishwasher and dryer are lying unopened as Reliance Digital is not willing to take them back and I don't want these unprofessional people to come and do the installation now.

While purchasing a product from Reliance Digital Kolkata, the sales staff insisted me to go for a extended warranty for some extra amount. Though I was not willing to do this, but they forcefully made me agree.


But 1 and 1/2 year latter when I went to avail that extended warranty, they said, you pay the amount and we will reimburse. But from then onwards till now starting from the resq team to the top manager and the customer care are lying.


No reply is there to my several mails, to their customer care.

I personally review all the aspects of goods online after having an horrifying experience at croma store (where in a hurry I didn't checked the bill and the products I was assured I will be getting for free was charged in the bill also extended warranty which was told to me for Rs.500 was charged at 1500) anyways I have stopped visiting croma retail whether they are offering products for free.


Now another choice I was left with was reliance digital I had to buy a fridge a product I didn't knew much.


I went to reliance digital (Gopalan signature mall old madras road) in the fridge section I found a salesman Mr. lokesh I selected a refrigerator that was almost double the cost I finally bought but look at the gesture that guy told me about rating and asked the sort of usage I will be expecting from the product.


He at once recommended me one refrigerator I just took its model number and decided to verify the same.


To my surprise earlier product that I selected was double the cost and in electricity consumption it was also half the power rating hardly two star and when I checked for complaint the product that I selected was having lot of complaints and the one he told had almost no complaints.


I recently shifted to bangalore I had to buy TV, mixer, wifi solution, external hard disk, Blu ray player, hdmi cables etc though apart from kitchen product (mixer) I had information about every product so no difficulty but all these I bought due to good gesture displayed by salesman Mr. Lokesh.


The point I am writing this review is because other salesman that I have faced in Reliance digital were same like normal salesman who can sale a comb to a bald man but in today scenario you can't fool yours' customer with so much information available on net so now the definition of a true salesman is still the same the one who can sell a comb to a bald man but with a constraint that bald man remains happy with his purchase.


Now comes the second point why I am not recommending resq plan. My LED while getting delivered got a scratch no phone number available to call resq by much effort got a number from store called up resq customer support they asked me to call sony now what's the fun in taking resq when I have to call the manufacturer itself I believe none.


Anyways just a review or suggestion...

I would suggest to go for just a Washing machine with no dryer.


For 3KG dry option, time taken for wash cum dry is 5 hours. Power consumed is 1.2 units.


The quality of drying is average, the heavy cotton clothes needs to sun dry for sure.


I was suggested by the Reliance Sales person to go for washer/combo. Also I went for a additional warranty- It was a pure fraud.


LG offers standard 2 year, these people told that they would cover this product. In reality it if for the third year.


The delivery time was 11 days after purchase. During which product had a discount of more than 2k. The warranty starts from date of purchase.


Hence lost 12 days of warranty.


For delivering the product, there was only one person(driver). We had to get additional labour to get the product inside the home.


Overall Reliance digital service was pathetic.

I brought a lap top ( sony) not a local brand , from your reliance show room (bull temple road) i just took less then 24 hours when we try to operate the system dvd drive is not working ; again we went to showroom they not responding in good manner , when we buying they talk in honey speech :if we went with problem they treat like a beggar :this is not the way treating a customer , we ask for the replacement they not responding they asking 20 days time and also they saying we cant take responsibility (store manager named bharath he also not responding he avoiding me asking me to contact department manager :that guy also send back to promoter they all playing like toy)like that they saying.because off my friend request we went their he is working there only name (guru).we went through bajaj finance first they saying no processes fee after we bill the lap top they put processes fee 1000 rs .

I went reliance digital gopalan mall Bangalore & had a horrible experience.I went to buy rconnect tablet & the person who was incharge of tablet section was not interested at all in showing me or selling the product.By his behaviour I felt like I am standing in a sarkari office where no one bother about your need.


Strange thing is never staying in that section & running away somewhere to chat with his friend.Ultimately even without a demo of the product when I told him I will buy it He made me wait for 20 minutes & ultimately came & told we dont have it..dont go to reliance digital if you have some selfrespect

This plan is only for Reliance digital customers this is ford. They delivered product in time but sent non experienced technician. He wrongly fit the TV on wall. I told the same to Reliance customer care. They sent another technician after so many requests. He took complaint from me for to be providing new wall mount set. This is my compliant no: 14425618. They cannot provide any service and closed this complaint. They cannot give any response to my calls till now.


So in my opinion Reliance Digital selling the products to customer’s very well but poor, waste, worst and fraud in service. Due to my servicing problem is tell on 07.05.13, but we are raise the compliant on 12.05.13(after day by day follow up) , but they are not completed my problem today 07.07.13 (after day by day follow up) on words i.e. all most 1month, number of times u call tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow every day u follow up Reliance Digital tell tomorrow perfectly, once u take any item problem face 2 or 3 months demure and sometimes they cannot lift the phone I am rating is -5 (less 5).


My advice is don’t buy Reliance products.

The security gaurd came running and just ordered me to get out. No sir no please and no explanation. Keep it up Reliance digital noida. No wonder the store was empty without even 1 customer.

I have purchased hitachi SPLIT AC - 1.2TR HITACHI I-CLEAN - RAU514ITDA on 30 march 2013 and they delivered on 3 april 2013 but after 1 month 04 may 2013 ac breakdown I called HITACHI customer care they told me they could not send the person bcoz you purchased FROM RELIANCE so the 1 year warranty from reliance not hitachi.


So I called to reliance the have raised the complaint ant told me the resq person come within 24 hours but the person come after 3 days and he not solve problem they were not able to repair.he told me this is new model so we know how repair this model so I called reliance he told me we have arrange another person but after 2 days I have called 9 - 10 times he told me we have sending person next day and after 2-3day the person com and checking ac and calling his department head ( sunil - 9004809990) he confused how to open the ac and how to solve this problem so mr. sunil called hitachi person and the hitachi person told him plz registered called so we have visit and check so mr sunil told me we have arrang the HITACHI CALL after 24-48 hours.


i have called after two days mr .sunil not pickup my phone I have called also store (RELIANCE DIGITAL _ MULUND) mr. BIPIN - 022221642243 last 4-6days I m calling daily 11 to 12 times we have arranged the hitachi person but till date my ac problem not resole .


DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM RELIANCE DIGITAL HE NOT GET ANY COMPANY WARRANTY HIS OWN WARRANTY

I purchased JBL headphones on 30 March 2013, this product was on offer and the price was Rs.1745/-, I purchased through debit card, and I signed invoice, everything was fine. However when I checked my Bank Statement I was shocked that the money has been debited twice, from that day I am following-up with this all the email-id's and customer care numbers provided by the Reliance digital for rectifying the same.


Everyone has the same standard answer "complaint has been lodged within 3 to 4 working days money will be credited". Till date Reliance has not taken any initiative to return the money. At first I thought this incident was human error, if so they would have taken this issue seriously and returned my money back. IT IS COMPLETE MALIFIED INTENTION by Reliance store at Ambiance Mall.


CUSTOMER SERVICE --- WORST......WORST............WORST.


Never Ever Ever Ever Buy from Reliance Digital!

I'm pasting my mail to Council for Fair Business Practice (CFBP). Once you read it, you get to know everything about it:


Hear my story of harassment and mental unrest after buying a phone from Reliance Digital.


My complaint is against Reliance Digital, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.


I wanted to gift a phone to my wife on our wedding anniversary. I took my wife to the Reliance Digital store, Ambience Mall on 7th Jan, 2013. After going through few models, the salesman convinced me to buy ViewSonic3 phone by telling good things about its performance and market feedback. He also told me that Reliance Digital is providing after sales service for this phone, which proved to be a big lie later. For that matter, they just gave me the bill and no warranty card saying, only the bill needs to be brought to Reliance Digital store for any after sales service. I fell into their trap and bought this phone for Rs. 5999/-. And within one week, it started showing problem. Here is the list of problems:


• Within 2-3 days of use, a black horizontal line appeared on the LCD. The black line was coming due to a defect in the LCD as even after restarting the phone and restoring factory settings, didn’t go.


• The phone hanged every now and then. It used to hang even during calls.


• The phone’s reception started showing problem. Every now and then, a cross-mark would appear on the operator logo. Even when there’s full network, the voice would go up and down.


I immediately took the phone to the reliance digital store on 12th Jan, 2013, within seven days of purchase. And to my surprise, this time they told me that I need to contact the ViewSonic Customer care. This is contrary to what they told me at the time of buying. After arguing for long with the reliance digital people, I realized these people are cheats! My hard-earned money is wasted! I requested them to take the phone back and issue me a credit note, they refused saying their company policy does not allow return of mobile phones. I was very disappointed with this. Why would I need to take a new phone to customer care within one week? It was a manufacturing defect.


I requested them to at least give me an acknowledgement copy of my complaint, but they refused to do so. They didn’t even give me any acknowledgement number of my complaint. When they did not co-operate, I just took the number of the ViewSonic Service Centre and left. After contacting the ViewSonic Service Centre, I came to know that their service centre is in Nehru Place, Delhi, which is quite far from my place. They asked me to bring the phone. However, as I was very busy that time, I could not go immediately. After few days, I managed to visit the service centre (Intarvo, G-4, 5, 6 Chandra Bhawan, Nehru Place, New Delhi. Phone: 011-30683880/81) on 13th Feb, 2013. Now, another episode of harassment starts.


They took the phone saying will be repaired within 1 week. However, I had wait for 2 weeks, they called me on 23rd Feb asking us to collect the phone. On the same day, 23rd Feb, I went and collected the phone. The lady at the reception told me that we have been given a new phone. She even showed me the IMEI number. However, after reaching home, I realised, they gave me an used phone. The phone even had somebody else’s email account configured. I’m attaching screenshots of the same. This, first of all a lie from the ViewSonic Service Centre and secondly, a negligence on their part regarding a customer’s data privacy. The person whose email was configured should sue Intervo for this. If it was not a sensible person like me, the data could have been misused. Now I’m fearing they must’ve done the same thing with my phone! This is what they do as solution! They just swap the faulty phones! And this phone is also faulty! Because, they didn’t fix it! They just gave me a second-hand phone!


Here are issues with the recent phone:


The USB point is loose and faulty!


The the screen does not rotate properly when I rotate the phone.


The phone has voice-clarity problem; people cannot hear me clearly.


In this situation, both me and my wife cannot go through this harassment anymore. I didn’t want to gift a faulty phone to my wife on our wedding anniversary! And when I gave it for repair, they gave me a second-hand phone! Come on! How can I gift a second-hand phone to my wife on our wedding anniversary! I didn’t pay to get a second-hand phone! These people have no rRajeev_Vermact for people’s emotions!


Now, I want my money back. It is my hard-earned money. Both me and my wife have already suffered a lot for past two months. Within 2-3 days of buying a new phone, we’ve been facing issues with it, and instead of coming to help the customer, Reliance Digital and Intarvo are behaving like ‘THIEVES’! Once a customer’s money goes to them, they cannot give it back! Where’s the consumer rights!


The CFBP sent a mail to the Manager of that Reliance Digital Store. I even received their auto-mail to coonfirm the receipt of my complain, but I've not received any response from them yet. Here's CFBP's mail:

The Council has received a complaint from one of your valued customers Mr. Samsul Ali regarding defective View Sonic mobile purchased from Reliance Digital, Gurgaon.


The Complainant states that he purchased the mobile on 7th Jan, 2013 and within a week of its purchase started giving many problems. He further states that the Reliance Digital, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon refused to provide any replacement, refund and credit note rather advised to contact the ViewSonic Customer care. Why a Complainant should take his brand new phone to customer care within one week of purchase? The Complainant also states that the service centre didn’t fix the defects in the phone rather provided a second-hand phone saying it a brand new phone.


In the circumstances we call upon you to contact the complainant who has approached us and take necessary steps to resolve his grievance and thus avoid the situation to precipitate into litigation which would be besides your displaying Fair Business Practice attitude.


A copy of the complaint addressed to us is also enclosed for your information & kind consideration. Hope Fair Business Practices will prevail and you will avoid the complainant from approaching the Consumer Courts and address this communication with all the priority that it deserves.

Never Buy anything from Reliance Digital - Gurgaon

Recently Bought Television from Reliance Digital at Ambience Mall.. The service they commit never get fulfilled.


They will only insist you to make the payment for the product. Once you do that, you will find yourself unimportant. Will deliver your product only after a fight with customer care.


No service will be given because their job is somehow got over. It is definitely affecting the Brand. Will suggest others to better purchase the desired product from anywhere than from Reliance Digital.

Picked up a 1.5T Samsung A/C from the Kammanahalli Store on 11th April. The sales people 'promised' the delivery would be done the following day and the installation in two days. Three days later the product was still not delivered, after countless phone calls and excuses we are told that the product we wanted is out of stock and we need to pick up an LG product (which would cost us 5k more).


I insisted on a Samsung A/C and told them if they couldn't deliver this product I would like a refund. A week later the Samsung product is delivered. Again after following up with several calls the technical team comes and fixes the A/C. Charges us another 5 K for installation saying they need a stand/pipe etc etc. The technician refuses to give us a bill, but we let it go just thankful that the A/C is fixed.


But I was wrong. A day later, the A/C doesn't work. There is no cooling. We call the technicians back, the reliance store and the technician sends two kids to check. The problem - there is no gas in the outdoor compressor. I am shocked...How can a brand new A/C not have gas? We question the technicians and the folks at the store and no one is willing to give us a convincing answer.


I asked them point blank if this is a used piece, but they say no. The A/C is still not repaired, I have been calling the store and the technician and they are only stalling or saying 'we will call back in ten minutes' and that never happens. I am at my wits end, frustrated and feeling helpless.


Choosing reliance digital to purchase the A/C is the worst decision I could have made. Save yourself the hassle and stress..DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Booked an air Cooler which was supposed to be delivered in 3 days. Did not happen. Went to store to inquire, was told would be delivered next day, still not delivered. Was given number of ware house guy, when I called him he said he no commitment from him. This is how Reliance Digital treats customers.


Today if you shop on ebay, flipkart you have 30 days money back guarantee.


With Reliance Digital - Nothing.


Please give your money to charity than use Reliance Digital.
