Ratna, Kalighat, Kolkata

Ratna is a fast-food joint on Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road. I have visited Ratna twice. My first visit was during my college days as the college where I used to study was located very close to this place. I again visited Ratna just a few days ago after meeting a friend in the Kalighat area.  Unfortunately, on both occasions I had a bitter experience.

Ratna offers both Indian and Chinese cuisine. I still remember during my first visit at this place I ordered chili chicken and chicken noodles. So, recently, during my second visit I intentionally ordered the same dishes just to verify whether the quality has changed or not. To my utmost surprise, there was no improvement in the quality. Yet again I found the noodles unnecessarily sticky and the chili chicken a bit sour from the normal standard. Although the prices are still on the reasonable side, the visit was not worth remembering. Ratna’s ambiance is also extremely ordinary. Therefore, for these reasons, I would not like to recommend this place to anyone.
