Lovely Experience at Ramsukh
Aug 20, 2016 06:42 PM 2350 Views

I had a great time at Ramsukh resorts. Lovely view from the top of the hill, lush greenery all around, wonderful music night, clean pool. They even have a disco. It was a lot of fun.

just had complaints on the accommodation though, didn't meet with our expectations there. The smaller bedroom in the suite was actually carved out of the drawing room with glass doors. the cieling was so low that there was no fan at all. So that was a bummer.

Another point to be noted is that buildings are 2 floors high yet there are no lifts so make sure you book lower rooms if you cant climb.

Rest everything was great.

Overall Very Nice experiance @ Ramsukh

We just went to Ramsukh Resorts at Mahabaleshwar, This place is very nicely located in old Mahabaleshwar, adjacent to the Temple, Resort is on the hill top and in the Jangle area, It was amazing weather in Mahabaleshwar

Room - Room was nice (We booked Forest view) and clean. It's two storage room with most of the amenities, Surprisingly there is cooler insted of A/C , may be it's not required in Mahabaleshwar. But in Summer I am not sure how much cold is there. Since it's Jungle view, it was at the backside and quite peaceful. They have separate parking for most of the rooms. Bathroom was god and species.

Service - Room Service was quick, only thing is there is no attendant or no information available about the place etc. We had no clue about the food timings untill we asked. But orders in the room were served quickly.

Food - Food was excellent. (Non-veg lovers - give a miss to his hotel). Breakfast and dinner was buffet and Lunch was "Thali". Overall service and quality and cleanliness was good

Price - I thought it was little highly priced , since it's hill station, they are enchasing the location advantage.

Overall very nice experience, I can think about visiting again...

Just in case in summer ask about the A/C before you book

Overated hotel - not worth its price

Heard lot about this place and hence booked a two day package (worth Rs 12500 ). We had heard that its a Five Star facility but we were totally disappointed.

As we entered the room we were shocked to see water seeping from the roof onto the windows. The room was not done properly - no towels, blankets etc in the room. The stairs leading to the room were also not cleaned and well maintained.

We had gone in early sept and the room was extremely cold. I was expecting it to be a well carpeted and properly heated room.

Decided to take shower and found that the hot water was barely lukewarm. Called the room service and he got two buckets of hot water saying that there was some problem with boiler !

Next morning, went to the toilet only to found out there was no running water.. Called up the room service and they restored in 10 minutes. Needless to say we could only get cold water during the entire stay. In the afternoon the phone in the room went dead which was not restored till the end of our stay - pathetic servie !!

The only grace is the location - we get a beautiful view from the room and the abundant food - though not very tasty. The breakfast is good however the punjabi dishes for the dinner are not that tasty.

Few suggestions for Ramsukh Management -

  1. Change the manager

  2. Improve the interiors of the rooms.

  3. Provide heating/cooling facility in the rooms.

  4. Provide good quality carpets in the rooms

  5. Get some good chefs - especially for Punjabi dishes.

  6. Hire good agency for property maintenance - rooms, stairs, garden, etc

  7. Change the furniture in the room. It is very old and stinky !

My request to rating agencies - please visit the place and re-rate it.. It should not get even a single star in its  present form.

Thanks and Good Day !

Suprb location, breath taking surroundings

Brief:

Suprb location, breath taking surroundings

Auhhhh service and food good

Only things is if you can afford little more money book for Valley view instead of forest view room recommended for honeymoon

Details:

Actually resort is located at outside of city so cab will charge you Rs. 150 from city center. Once you enter in the resort WOW! Excellent surroundings…suprb location. Our stay was for 3 days. I have planed everything my self instead of wasting money with travel agent.

There is free transport service running from resort to city market 2 tim/day. Once you reach to market, you can book cab from there to visit surrounding areas/ panchgani. No need to do bargain with taxi driver transport service office is there book it nd go

All times food was good everything was available to eat and match your test….and ya if you reach there on right time you can swim in swimming pool as well.cooold. disco khisco was ok small room is there with lighting nd DJ….service is good ….they arrange some games/drama evry nightya was fun. I highly recommended for honeymoon

Mumbai India
Great View. Great Service. Average Food & Room.

We spent three days in an all inclusive package in July. Although the resort is located at an excellent location, during the monsoon there is very little visibility. The room was damp and smelling. However the good service and food made up for the shortcomings and overall experience was good enough for us to plan to revisit during summer.

The resort is located quite a distance from the town market and is very close to the shiva temple and a number of points. The food is all veg and has good variety of choices including non spicy and jain.

During monsoon the cloud cover engulfs the roads and it s not advisable to drive in the evenings especially for first timers. Once in Mahabaleshwar, do make it a point to plan to spend at least one day visiting Panchgani. In various guide books it is also written that rather than taking an all inclusive package, it is advisable to take a room only package.

With food choices being aplenty in the market area. Driving donw from Mumbai also provides two choices. I chose to drive via Pune and due to the road conditions and less traffice we could make the distances of over 260 kms in less than 5 hours.

Awesome food and nice rooms

Went on a package last week around Christmas to Ramsukh resorts. The resort is situated in Old Mahabaleshwar, at a height compared to the other hotels. The rooms are clean, nice and big. Since we were going there for the first time, we were not aware that the Forest Suite dont have a good view ! Take the rooms that face the valley and the view is mind blowing. Off season package rates are attractive but it is expensive in December and holiday season.

The Food is very good, nice spread for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Tastes very much like home cooked food and the service is good too. Staff in the resort are polite and nice.

Did not see anyone use the pool as it was quite cold but it looks clean to be used during summers. They also have a gym and SPA.

We were very happy with the resort, food, rooms and service. I would recommend this resort in Mahabaleshwar. We had a look at some other hotels and resorts too but nothing was close to this one.

The only CON is that the resort is away from the Market place. Though they have two shuttles daily to the market, it is advisable to drive to Mahabaleshwar as you have the independence to look around. It can get quite boring all day in the hotel room.

Indore India
Never ever go there
Sep 04, 2007 02:09 PM 4137 Views

Unbelievable. It was a total shock to us as we landed at the

resort. The whole place stinks of mold. We were also fortunate to get there in

the rainy reason and hence, we had to change three rooms to find one that did

not have a leaky roof. All rooms suck big time and the audacity of the staff is

unmatched. Even after such a horrible experience, the staff  seemed to be pretty relaxed and cool about

water seeping into the rooms. The rooms are totally overpriced - After paying Rs

4500 a day, I am not sure who will stay in a room where the roof is covered

with a  polythene to stop water seepage, sparks if you switch on a light,

food which is stale and smelly.  It was a

spooky experience to stay the least. My advice would be  **NEVER GO THERE

EVEN IF ITS FREE IS MY ADVICE TO ALL*

Pleasant Surprise.

A few weeks back me and my wife decided to celebrate our marriage anniv. with a trip to M'blshwr and after much research I settled on Ramsukh resort. We mainly wanted a calm, quiet place with a great location.....which ruled out all the crowded hotels in and around the new city. Ramsukh Resort was also a gamble as I read some bad reviews on their service but then the other resorts seemed to be just as bad :-)

We landed at the resort around noon and after a slight delay were checked into our Valley View Suite. Though the suite looked just a bit rundown it had a great location with the bedroom windows (wall to wall) overlooking old mahabaleshwar and the valleys and mountains around it. The resort has a pretty good 'Spa' run by Kerala Ayurveda...though a bit pricey. They have some imaginative sit out areas arranged all over the place where u can just sit around and chat away the lazy afternoon. There is also a surprisingly well maintained swimming pool just next to their restaurant.

The food was good and pure veg. They have pretty good variety in the buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The service in the restaurant was fast and they do work hard to maintain everything around the place in order. Saw a lot of families as well as couples like us and the whole place was booked for the weekend mostly by Mumbaikars.

The old shiva temple from where the river originates is very close to the resort and that was one of the places we visited during the weekend.

All in all its a great resort if you are looking for a relaxed time but do note that its pretty far from most of the points and the new city.......so if u want to do all the points in a trip or want the bustle of the city around this ain't the place.
