Raja is definitely not the one & only. It is one among many Kollywood masalas where the Director gets confessed at times between the hero and the heroine. Oops we are extremely sorry for that Ezhil - the director of Raja but his screenplay falls well short of his first offering where it is brilliant.
Ajith is Raja in the film and he falls for Thayir Sadam alias Priyanka who is booed by everyone in the college especially Jyothika who is in love with Ajith but our Thayir Sadam is so silent but she manages to keep kissing Ajith whenever they are close. Ajith must be lucky but not definitely at the box office cuz this movie may not save him.
Priyanka gets killed in a revenge between Ajith and the Villain and Ajith packs his bags back to his village where Radha Ravi his Father, who is a bus owner and mother welcome him back only to find Jyothika coming there as a friend. Ajith soon reveals the real Jyothika but then she confesses her love for him etc. What happens next is the climax.
Priyanka is sexy and can come a good round or two in Kollywood, while Jyothika looks and acts jaded. Ajith desperately has to change his looks and acting. He almost looks old in some frames, his hair style looks weird and he need a hit badly now. Vadivelu and Mantra add to the already existing list of cast but they do nothing much interesting.
Something magical could have lifted this movie that could be the music but sadly S.A.Rajkumar has let Ezhil down this time. So Ezhil takes the 60% of the blame but the cast too has to take more responsibility to save a movie.
APPLAUSE : Thayir Sadam.
AHEM! : Ezhil.
VERDICT : Miss it for your pocket's sake
