Had a horrific experience at the new Radisson Panvel resort. We were there for a conference (17th/18th July 2008) and I was staying alone, in one of the rooms on the ground floor. At 4:15 am in the morning, I woke up on hearing voices in my room. I was startled to see two bell boys, standing near the bathroom door an talking to each other.
When I struggled to get up from under the blanket they saw that I am now awake and ran away. I complained to the manager and got a lukewarm apology. Certainly not an experience to cherish! This means that
anybody can snoop on you since all the staff have master key cards that can open any door, day or night. I have stayed in several 5 star properties around the world and never have I had such an experience.
So if you are planning to take out your wife or girlfriend, this is not the place to go! (unless you have exhibitionist tendencies). On other aspects like food, ambience, etc it was OK, but I was very uneasy throughout after this experience.
Will avoid all Radisson properties from now on. Also, this means if a hotel door does not have a deadbolt lock inside the door, anybody can open it from outside whether you like it or not, with a master keycard. Definitely scary!
- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
