RJ ginni is very rude and manner less, she disconnected the call in the middle of the conversation, why do you urge people to call, if you are not ready to listen. That’s your job, and if you are not ready to take negative feedbacks then shut down the show, and show some respect to people who are calling you sharing their views.

Why you don't play bollywood songs every time.i am in hyderabad for last 2years and sometimes getting really irritated with telugu songs. Please do something for we hindi listeners. I think just for some limited time you guys are playing bollywood numbers.

Though old bollywood songs are always there. But every time we can't listen Old songs.

I am a regular listener of the YESTERDAY ONCE MORE prgm on every sunday at 10pm.

RJ Reshma's sweet voice is very attractive and she performs the prgm nicely.But her selection of songs are sometimes boring!On what basis does she selects the songs??Sometimes I switch over to 107.4 stn, all hits no bakwas!!!It is also a very good music channel.

What is the e-mail id of RJ Reshma?I hope the programme will be made more attractive by playing the real golden hits like Bonnie-M, Patboon, Cliff Richard, etc etc.

91 FM - Radio City has brought back the craze and the aura of listening old songs on RADIO back to future which was long lost till recent back say some 3-4 years ago to the present era.As the day settles for the night as a part of nature's cycle, the actual enjoyment for a music lover starts, i.e., by simply listening to the Hindi songs played in the night, he actual imagines himself in the period of songs being played and his own interpretation of his experiences of life. During this time of enjoying the songs his heart and soul gets soothed by getting immersed in the song, the music, the feeling, the lyrics of the song.

Its like fantasizing oneself into the old era which we cannot live now. This feeling even GOD can grant to any human-being however 'n' number noble deeds the person may do in his life.MUSIC to me is Meaningful, Understandable, Soothing, Intensely, Cooling and this combination is provided to me by Radio City 91FM

I eagerly wait for sunday to come at 10pm. The program "yesterday once more" & the sweet voice of reshma. I would only request rj reshma to play the songs of 70's & 80's.i sometime feel the channel 107.4 plays better songs.can you just do it reshma?in fact the channel doesn't attract any other program except rupa bolchi. That is a different type program of modern age.i am 59 yrs, so i would love hearing the 60's, 70's songs.what is the e-mail id of this program?can anybody let me know!

I used to listen City Sun Rise on Delhi Radio City 91.0 FM between 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Between the songs they used to tell the astrology day forecast for each zodiac sign. As I used to listen it daily at this time, I got surprised when they used to tell the same forecast for continuously 2-3 days.

Yesterday (Thursday, March 12 2009) I got more surprised when in the forecast the Radio Jockey was saying "It's Monday today, who told you can do party on weekend only, you can do it on Monday also" for one of the zodiac sign astrology forecast of the day. I think they are just releasing their pre-recorded versions.

Other than that the collection of old songs in the morning are really good. It clearly shows their mentality about the seriousness of the work they are doing.

Gone were the days when we had only one choice to listen to music on radio which was cheap. Local radio station VIVID BHARATI. 10.00 pm to 11.00 pm. That was the only time where we could recharge whole days work.

I was brought up in a Joint family with a small rental accommodation, when availability of good houses & money was less. Till bachelor in our life we had to sleep in our factories at night time along with all 5 cousins. Our only entertain at that time we could afford was to buy a little transistor with a sharing from all brothers and hear to music.

Being adamant lover for music, I love RADIO CITY 91.1 aired in the skies of cyber age city Hyderabad.

I love the songs played by RJ Rahoul very much. And also by RJ Love Guru.

I have installed a car stereo system in my Bed room as it is very compact in size.

As soon as I return from my work at around 7.00 pm I am surrounded by my son & daughter to play Telugu songs aired on Radio City at this hour of time, Which has helped them to learn Local language as our mother tounge is Gujarati & we all speak Gujarati at home.

Except my wife who come from Karnatak, we all love to hear RJ pranavi, RJ Shanker Dada .

At about 9.00 pm we all eagerly wait for RJ Rahoul, who serves us Hindi Songs from 1970 & 80 music which is pure like diamond to hear.

I have to patch up with my wife to allow me to hear Love Guru with a promise that I wont sleep in the Half way of the programs & take responsibility to switch off the radio Mid night.

The quality and selection of songs compared to other stations is at the best.Now I never try to compare with other stations.

If I am on a long drive with my friends in their respective cars & if at all I am Driving, I never allow them to play music CD, instead I switch to Radio City.

Another best program to listen is 20 hit songs of Hindi played on Sundays afternoon, followed by Hit 40 songs of Telugu which completes my Sunday.

With the kind of music available on Radio City my 3 generations of collection of LP records, Cassettes & some of the audio/mp3 are lying idle at ware house.

Have been listening to Radio city when I was in Bangalore.(2004 - 2007) and now my listening buds feast on the wonderful radio station in Mumbai!

Must say that at the time when Bangalore Radio city was at its peak, a lot of good RJs left it to join other radio station, and for once I did miss them.especially Rohit Jayakaran.

Now, Back to Mumbai!

The Good

1. The quality of RJ is quite good in Mumbai.you do not get the'accent issues' when the Jockies speak in Hindi, english or Marathi

   
   




2. The concept, the programs and the execution is all too good.  Morning wakes up to wonderful songs and a lot of good talk on Radio. Dont know why but the execution is so crisp that you tend to use the word'soothing' a lot when you think of this radio station.

   
   




3. The innovative quizzes and contests which these guys come up is simply mind boggling and cute at times

   
   




4. The little attention to detail. for example - I remember radio city would slow its jingle in the night time.and would play the faster version in  the day and evening time! Whereas the other channels would loudly bark in your ears as if its so cool.!

   
   

The Not so Good

Only one point comes to mind(i.e) - sometimes there is way tooo much promotion and advertisements on air.but we cant help that since that is one of the few revenue streams for any radio station.

“Whatte Fun”

Radio City commenced its first station - broadcasting in Bangalore 7 years back and it was offering its best world class programs for its listeners.

Infact I have attended its 2 nd  anniversary functions held at Leela Palace Hotel.

Radio City had its best array of RJ’s like Chaithanya, Saggy, Johncy ,Ms Vasanthi  and few other RJ’s.

Bangalore was live 24/7x365 days with out a break . Certain programs were too good that even senior citizens/grand old parents  used to appreciate. One among such was  “Chocho bath” on every Sunday at 8 am hosted by RJ Chaithanya and currently aired by RJ Nanda (I believe)

Mr Johncy & Saggy used to rock Bangalore with Angrezi numbers and right now Mr Saggy is hosting Radio City’s Rock Show on Sunday from 1800 hrs to 2100 hrs in addition to his main portfolio as program director( Maaph karna if I used wrong designation)

Infact I have won several contests conducted by Radio City and even participated in a bid contest where Baghban film  (a film by Ravi Chopra productions acted by Amitab Bachan & Hemamalini) a saree worn by Hemamalini was auctioned  for a noble cause by Shoppers Stop and I was the highest bidder and won the saree for my wife ( see Hema’s pic for description of the saree). I have an appreciation /  letter of authenticity signed both by Mr Ravi Chopra & Mrs Hema Malini.

Now after leaving Bangalore coming down to Vadodara, I was very upset on missing Radio City and my favorite RJ’s. But it was blessing in disguise Radio City commenced its broadcasting even at Banyan city Vadodara since last year.

Here too we have few good RJ’s and Program Directors. The programes are getting better day by day as Radio City had its commitment to its Gujju listeners and now spreading its wings, setting trends, bench marking world class standards.

Applauds to Radio City team especially a big one to its Program Director –Mr Ashwath Ramachandran.

Few of its RJ’s are Ashish, Jiah, Payal, Priyanka. RJ Rahoul (its something different)  host  Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi from 2100 hrs to 2300 hrs and Love Guru arrives at 2300 hrs with his consultancy services for those who are in love seeking tips.

No matter whether I’m in Vadodara or at any other cities – Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai or New Delhi, where RC ( pls note RC stands for Radio City and not anything else) is there, it remains my companion.

I am a fan of this radio channel, 91.1 FM.

It was then, when three and a half years agao, Radio City 91 FM.

The channel frequency has increased. Majority of the RJ's have left. My favorite was Rohit Barker.

I also had a chance of posting a funny comment three years back, for Radio City, when the petrol price hike happened. There was a price - a bicycle from Hero Cycles. I made it. I got the gift. It happened that I met two RJ's, Rohit Barker and Sindhu. My other favorite show was BY TWO Coffee.

It was short breaks with advertisements and completely with Hindi songs with a bit of Kannada songs. But however, all of them were hit songs and good songs.

Later it changed, airing the songs, selecting them were not good. Majority of the times, whenever you tune, you will, now-a-days, listen advertisements with slow and dull songs.

Now favorite has changed to Fever 104. Superb channel. all time favorite and hit songs.

Hope to see the change again in Radio City 91.1 FM.

Yesterday night while going back Home from Office, I was listening to the famous radio show Love Guru.., and a teenage boy called in seeking advise from the Guru for some fuss in his life..!!

The guy called as he and his girlfriend were into serious relationship with each other since years, since there school days and after they completed their schooling suddenly the Girl realize that they should apart and once they both settle down after may be some years they can further continue their relationship. The boy called Love Guru seeking advise that whether it would be fine if he agrees to the conditions proposed by his girl friend, and I as an individual did not agree to what Love Guru advised-- he said " the girl is sensible enough if she is taking this decision"  also he said within this period they can remain friends!! I totally disagree with Love Guru, because according to me the question is "Why the girl requires time now?"..wasn't she sure & aware about the same when she initiated the affair!!

Bloody hell why do people give such an advise, why playing with someone's emotion.., teenage love really influence a person and leaves an impact for lifetime.., by misguiding a person, our dear Love Guru has set an expectation in the guys heart for the girl & for some years the guy will wait for her girl with all his love & respect !! And my question is What If after certain time the guy watches the Girl with someone else..he will shatter, broke just because of some stupid advise to promote a RADIO SHOW !!!  CRAP...That's highly irresponsible on the show organiser's part as they are  here to just entertain us and not play with emotions...instead they should help them face the situations by being bold and not by waiting for the entire Damn life for someone who doesn't care about you sentiments!!!

I personally am a Music freak and Radio City being on of my favorites has really disappointed me..!!

There is a thief in Mumbai City, from many months he is stealing hearts & sleepespecially of young girls & no action against him has been taken yet. He takes leave only on Sunday otherwise he is on his toes from Monday to Saturday between 1.00-4.00 am.The amazingthing about him is he does not carry Gun, Hammer,Knife, Chloroform or any other instrument along with him infact he steals with the help of his Voice & Wit.According to the thief he is Raato ka Raja& his takia kalam is 'Mein hoo raato ka Raja Praveen saari raat aap ke saath'.

I know you are eager to know who is this mysterious person? He is RJ Praveen of Radio City 91.1 Fm Mumbai & his shows name is Jagte Rahowhich is on aire from Monday to Saturday between 1.00-4.00 am.What a paradox thieves prefer to steel when pepole fall asleep but this thief likes pepole to remain awake.

This is the single show which keeps pepole of Mumbai city wake till 4.00 am & the credit for this goes to RJ Praveen as he makes the show lively & worth listening.The show is more popular among Students, Call Center Personels,Doctors & others.The show is very interactive due RJ Praveen & audience discussion on various topics because of this show students find easier to study & prepare for their exams in late night.RJ Praveen also offers his helping hand in mid-night by giving telephone numbers & addreses of medical shops, hospitals ,petrol pumps etc to persons who need them. After knowing all this you must be Jealous of Mumbaikars?

RJ Praveen is currently hosting three shows namely Jagte Raho, Kehta hai Dil & Dhoom Pichak Dhoomon Radio City 91.1 Fm. On the lines of the show 'Jagte Raho' RJ Neel of 93.5 Red Fm Mumbaihas recently started hosting a show between 1.00-4.00 am on Red Fm but I am sure Neel will not be able to compete with this experienced thief (RJ Praveen).

It is now time to change music systems in the car which have only 8 buttons to tune to your favorite FM stations. Each week there is a launch of new FM station in Bangalore promising potential listeners about myriad range of music and RJs talk show. Time and patience tested, I see that Radio City 91.1 FM is still the uncrowned princess among all FM stations. Recently added Radio One and SFM is still a way long to go to match with quality talk shows and definitely no where closer to the RJs on Radio City. The various competitions aired in these channels are simply lofty and utter nonsense. “How many dogs are there in your street”?, “what do you do when your spouse sees cockroach or lizard at home? SMS your answers to XXXX and we give you goodies. I have never seen anyone in Bangalore wearing such goody T-shirts or bags and where are these goodies going and definitely the mobile companies are making fast bucks alluring innocent citizens to send their SMS.

RJs of Radio City, Bangalore are truly committed to society, their talks are never cheap and adding to this, they are deeply caring to people’s emotions, never pass cheap comments on their opinions and do not give their personal opinion on air. It shows that they spend a lot of time on homework (googling), prepare their talk shows. The weather forecast, traffic updates and talk shows with famous personalities are truly enlightening to the listeners. I get floored each time I listen to the long good morning wake up voice of Vasanthi or the ever bubbly Sunaina in the evenings- a true stress-buster indeed. Sunaina and Vasanthi are doing great job in keeping the station alive with their wits and humor. Rohit Barker, Bala and Sindu’s job is also commendable.

I listen to Radio City Delhi.I think it's an excellent radio station. All the music they play is Hindi, which I am very happy about. The shows are very good. Sometimes the RJ's can get annoying as they go over the top.

My favourite show is Route Mera Mastana which is anchored by Neha who is my favourite RJ. I used to enjoy Life Ki Dhun with Sonu Nigam. Hopefull that will come back on air. Sonu was a good RJ. They tend to take a break after two songs. All the ads are repeated so some are annoying, but others are OK.

I have seen that many people prefer Mirchi to City because of the ads, but City is a good radio station.

I think people who don't like it should give it another go maybe vo log city me kho jaaye.

When radiocity was first launched.. it was liked & loved by all.. but off late.. whenever u tune in, u invariably hear more RJ's talking & more advertising than ACTUAL music!! Come on guys.. u seem to have forgotten the true essence of being a radio Station! Tone down on the umpteen advertisements & useless jingles & the RJ's uncalled for banter & get with the programme! I dont mean to compare but a fairly new channel like RADIO INDIGO is doing a remarkable job..lots of good music & very few interruptions! RADIO CITY has been around for more than 5 years.. n still comes first for most bangloreans.. give us back the music we love! & NO we are NOT interested in which RJ loves Calvin or Hobbes!! Stick to the music Puhleez!

Try and include different shows.. like perhaps Somethin for housewives around 11 am and somethin for Kids around 4 on saturdays.. your channel should apeal to all age groups.

To those who think radio city is nice, don't read this or otherwise you will kill me though I am not abusing radio city but just expressing my opinion.

Radio city fm 91 this was the tune I used to love earlier. But then, Radio Mirchi became my favourite. One day, I just casually changed the frequency of the Radio station and tuned to 93.5 Red Fm and 91 Fm respectively. Both provided a better playback quality and the desired stereo sound which radio mirchi failed to provide. The difference I felt in Red & Citywas the frequency of ads and naturality. Red fm's jockeys are so natural and they make you stick to the radio and in Radio city I feel that they are doing just their duty for money except Anirudh.

Radio city is what I don't listen to [Yes some more reasons are following, dont just decide by listening to some its cons]. It plays MANY MANY MANY old songs (I think it saves its money by avoiding royalty). Even if it plays a modern song, it is a song which is not so popular usually. For eg-one day, in the evening, I heard a Kishor Kumar Song and after that Khakee's Waada Raha. Now that too in 2005!! Why would I want to listen Waada Raha??

Another thing-In the top ten would you like-Meter down- from Taxi 9.2.11?? And that too only top ten. Red Fm provides you with a whooping top 30! and Radio mirchi with Indipop 10 and top 20.

And moreover, you are restricted to laugh in Radio city. In the morning, Archana the Rj, although her voice is nice, but we experience boredom with her (as a jockey). Anirudh, looks like he is smiling, so chalta hai. In the evening and night, the other jockeys also fail to create humour. In radio city, Babbar sher used to be aired in which the man urz karta tha some pakau shers, but now, it's quality too has deteriorated.

On Red Fm on the other hand in the morning, with Malishka jockeying, we enjoy every bit of her show. In the afternoon, it is a bit boring with Anurag Pandey, but he is nice. In the afternoon again, Arnaaz gives you prizes and in the night, DJ & Housane (they are 2 separate jockeys), make you roll with laughter.

Radio city plays no English songs at all!! Red Fm plays them on saturday nights and Mirchi on Sunday nights.

Radio city is what I feel is an artificial radio station and I think if it improves it can be a better station.

I am basically from Mumbai but for the last four months I was in Bangalore. I am a music freak and enjoy listening to Radio everyday. One of the major repreives for me in Bangalore was that there was a radio station there too and that too Radio City then one I am fan of in Mumbai. So on the first day of reaching Bangalore I tuned into my favourite radio station and did it rock, yes it did. The day kicks off with Good Morning Bangalore with Vasanthi. The mornings just fly by listening to the awesome playlist that they have every morning. Also on every alternate weekday there is short tip by Lisa Sarah Jones the fitness expert. In the Evening there is Kannada music for 1 hour from 5pm to 6pm. Then Darius and Sunaina the cute lovely couple come to rock ur evenings. They play u really cool hindi music. At 8pm they have a show named Top 8 @ 8 where they play 8 songs on user requests. On saturdays there are matinee shows by Sindhu where she plays old classics. Come night and after 9Pm u get to listen to cool english tracks right upto midnight by Rohit Barker. On saturday morning there is a 4 hr slot for Kannada music and in evening they have the English top 20 songs. Ditto on Sunday they have Hindi Top 25 right from 5 pm. At 8pm on sunday they have Radio City Live which features small rock bands from in and around Bangalore city. These all things apart from regular whats up about Bangalore and traffic reports and various contests. Overall I cannot live without Radio City in Bangalore

Good for listening but..........at the end of the day being a medium for the universal language - music makes you wonder a little bit - How much is Radio City or any other radio station doing for the music in their own city? Radio City has come up with a good program called 'Radio City Live' which features local bands and comes on Sundays which is no doubt different but then when you hear studio produced songs through the day, how good is the local talent in your city? Firstly, the quality is worse than a band room sound - secondly, not every band is funny or has a sense of humor - trying to bring that out only makes the band seem very stupid / immature and thirdly, how is much is it doing for that particular band? What does the band have to offer? an album? most of the guys that I have heard on the radio dont even have demo for godsake! Does that do them any good on Radio?

The music scenario today exists of your normal pop shows, international acts, classical concerts and lastly your rock shows. The funny thing is that all these scenarios change except for the last one where you have the same old bands like Parikrama heading and when you do a event to promote local talent - Why do you promote the same old band thats playing in your city every other week and isnt even from Bangalore?

I'm really sorry to say this but I have lost total regard for Radio City and also question their motives at the end of the day! They gain from the point of having a new program thats way different from the rest but what does the bands get? Money? increased shows throughout the city / country? a recording deal? a huge fan base? Atleast the band can record their session on air and use it as demo but I doubt it will go anywhere with the quality. I also think thats its a last ditch effort to corner the market since there are going to be 6 new stations doing the same thing - even better.

So heres to Radio in general - thanks but no thanks.
