R Steam Hot, Mulund, Mumbai literally makes the customers wait for more than 10 to 15 minutes since the staff here is very slow and when the crowd leads to a rush on the weekends, it leads to a very chaoti situation.

Sharing my thoughts on one of my most favorite fast-food restaurants. I have been frequenting this joint for more than 15 years. It has THE BEST steam hots, which is nothing but sandwich with spicy steam fillings and grilled. Just writing about it makes my mouth water as I go on thinking about all its delicacies like sandwiches, rolls, pizzas with melted cheese(it is a category for pizzas), shakes and masala milk. Every Mulund person knows about it, has spent good times there and had lip-smacking snacks.

As it is open past midnight, a little snacking after dinner at R Steam Hot is always an option. After a late night movie or just simply to hang around with friends, it’s a place to visit and eat my heart out. I can never have enough of this snack-hut. The place has not grown in size but only in popularity. People will wait to get seats in there though it may take longer while.

R Steam Hot opened its second outlet near to the previous one. It may have everything that is similar to its original joint but is more upgraded décor-wise, ambience, furnishing and air-conditioned as well. Still, I feel more comfortable at old joint, somehow it gives a familiar feeling.

All in all, though how old I get or how busy I become, it is, undoubtedly, my go-to snack place. I can always rely on it whenever I get hunger pangs or when I don’t.

This is one those restaurants that I choose to enter on the way back from office, just in order to fill in that craving for that scrumptious sandwich stuffing and special rolls. Actually, there are very few places that have these many varieties of rolls and sandwiches. I have already tried quite a lot of them and now I can confidently recommend almost all of their rolls. Well, my personal favorites are the Oregano and Capsicum with melted cheese, Paneer chilli roll, cheese onion roll and the French Roll with Melted Cheese.

Apart from these awesome rolls and toasts, they have a vast menu of milk shakes, juices and some yummy faloodas as well. And trust me, I have tried them all. I am almost in love with the Butterscotch and Cold Coffee shakes.

The ambiance is however nothing special to talk about. Guess they should do something in this regard. With an average cost for two people at 450 INR, I find R Steam to be quite affordable to order from more than twice a week. Yes, that’s the frequency I come here. Also, many of my friends have grown fond of this place following my recommendation. Well, does that qualify me for some discount please? LOL.

Their 4 in 1 and such other toast combos are hunger killers. Paneer Tikka Pizza is one which I have at least once in three visits over there.

They have the best desserts too. Faloodas and ice cream combos are enough to make a person go sleep. Kesar milk is one of the great beverages they have.

If you pass by, then for pass time with snacks this is one of the best hangouts with friends. The best snack place I have ever been.

Best place to have those pizzas which were available before Domino's and pizza hut. Star delicacy is their veg puff patties.

Its a little costlier snack bar but yet worth a go.

FREE ENTRY for those who are looking for that, good music but these guys play the same music all the time...fairly economical and the crowd is also good...shuts at 02:00 hrs...that a bad thing bout this place, but then you can hang out on nariman point or you have oberois and marine plaze to have a cup of coffee and breath....small dance floor..its basically a somkiee zone in there..damm packed......you have all kinda crowd in there..so u dont even think about getting on the dance floor. you have lot of space round the dance floor to shake you bottom..:-)

The Dj's ok....well I just heard him once to announce someones b'day...these guys make you feel at home..that a good sign. being free entry you have those all in there...stags not allowed that a good sign...service is a bit slow....they are basically confused with the crowd...yet give it a try.
